I'm so confused
I tried to update from 1.6 v15b to 1.6 v19b and update ftb client from 1.36 to 1.37 and I got crashes from my modified version of FTBs monster mod pack that caused codechickencore powercrystals core, and universal electricity to all crash but my concern is that no matter how many I disabled another came up until I got this please help
Ps I'm an idiot that doesn't know how to use spoilers (always forget the command)

// My bad.
You quoted a crashlog that does not involve any of my mods after changing other people's mods.
I can confirm a previously-mentioned bug in ElectriCraft, and I'd like to know if it will be fixed for v20. Indeed, when you break an induction motor or generator (I used a bedrock pickaxe, but I doubt it really matters), both drop a pink-and-black "converter" block that, when placed, will always be a generator. Kind of makes me hesitant to try the mod before I can even move my motors without them turning into generators. I mean, yeah, I know that a motor is basically a generator backwards, but that's just it, only "sort of."
If you know it has been posted (about 6 times) before, you should also know I have repeatedly said it has been fixed.
is there a limit to how far steam pipes will transfer steam? since tesseracts wont connect, the steam block seems to be solid so it cant be tanked is there any way to transfer the power over 70-150 blocks ?
More length just means slower transfer; they work exactly the same as RC pipes.
By the way, I thank you for replying to the reddit threads before I am aware of them.
I'm on there all the time. I try to help people with their problems, and if there's an issue I don't know how to fix, I try referring them over here to ask their question. I'd like to see RotaryCraft/ReactorCraft become as popular as IC2, TE, BC, etc., although the power system probably puts people off from trying them out. I know I was a bit daunted at first when I saw that things were computed with actual physics, but once I got into it I found out that you really only have to worry about meeting required numbers and tweaking torque to speed ratios to obtain optimal operations.
Hm how are you supposed to empty your fluid pipes? I pumped lava , its gone now but some rest of it is stuck in the pump and the pipes and wont transfer to the reservoir. the lava source, therefore the pump, is on lower heigth than the reservoir.
How do i empty the pipes?
You cannot empty them completely, much as in real life.
Just a minor issue, the grinder will continue to damage things as if it was working even if the torque supplied is insufficient to actually run the machine.
Noticed it whilst trying to build a rotary craft powered cow grinder.

I think three things contribute to RC's lack of popularity:
Intimidating power system and learning curve
A bad reputation for being extremely overpowered, largely from those who either find automation game-breaking or those who played with it in creative for 10 minutes
Higher-than-normal computer load that most people immediately assume is the result of a bug

Hey Reika, I just want to let you know I am including your mod, RotaryCraft in my private, whitelisted server, which is distributed by FTB. The modlist and permissions for my pack can be found here

K. Any chance then as a feature if you could add specifying dimension in which the ore generates? It doesn't have to be individual per ore. Just one dimension list for electricraft+reactorcraft.
No, because all the ore textures are overlaid into stone. They are overworld ores.
First, I understand the whole concern you have of "make sure that stuff can be made without having to donate to the server".
Second, since I'm not using either ReactorCraft nor ElectriCraft, I have no vested interest in the decision.
No other mod that I know of generates ores and only permits them in the overworld instead of other dimensions like twilight forest or mystcraft ages; some dimensions, like the Deep Dark, are specifically for mining and have extra ores above normal. So I don't understand the idea of "I will only generate in the overworld, and have to generate in the overworld".
I know that CofhWorld has the ability to act as a single-source of ores, replacing the oregen normally done by common mods. I can do the same thing with COG. So there's at least two ways out there to force ores to generate in other dimensions, and/or exclude from the overworld.
My question is simple: Why force "only in overworld"; why not "generate in any stone-based world"? Why not follow the same behaviors as most other ore-adding mods?
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
It seems an induction generator needs to be 2 places removed from a shaft junction in order to work, anything less and it receives 0 power, it also, next to the junction, stop power going either way (the junction here is in 1:1 even splitting)

When I said "only in overworld", I meant only overworld-type generation. Twilight Forest, MystCraft, and similar will generate it.

I can't find any documentation on the net or in the book but are gearboxes subject to the same torque and rotation limits as shafts of the same material?
Been having issues with gearboxes exploding the moment they connect to the shaft and this seems to be the only cause we can think of.
If this is what is happening could this be added to the in game documentation so others don't get so confused?
What am I doing wrong?
Life is a Learning Curve....
Unfortunately, you're stuck on the bottom...amongst the bones of the stupid.
It does not.

Then you built it incorrectly.

Is it actually dealing damage greater than zero?

There is no minimum power. Power input leads to heat accumulation. Fight the heat loss (due to convection) and you have a power requirement.
This should be easy to fix.
This is already fixed in v20.
on the ball as always
cheers Reika
Forgive my ignorance, but what is convecting if the rock hasn't actually liquified yet? Just air currents at the edges of the machine?
For the Now:
They do, yes. The book should say this.
Yes.
I must say I am actually getting excited about v20
keep rock'n man
I have done nothing to it, and it works fine for me.
Yes, that is how I designed it.
Reika will you please consider changing your name pronunciation from 'ray-kuh' to to 'ree-kuh'.
That way when people stop you on the streets they say 'Eureka!'.
You're welcome.
