Maybe he could rarely spawn, and this is an out there idea, as a magey type Ettin, could drop some type of staff.
(By veriety i mean different textures, different weapons, etc)

Sorry to hear about your Pinky problem! Pinkies and Jousts are classed as animals rather than monsters so in Custom Mob PSawner you'll fund them under Creatures instead of Monsters.
You should also be able to edit all spawn rates and turn mobs individually on or off using the config files found in .../config/lycanite/ there is also an option to enable Pinkies and Jousts to despawn when playing in peaceful too. If you have any problems with the config, please let me know!

I've restructured a big part of the core AI code now and once I fix an annoying bug with the new flying system I'm going to continue to build on it adding entity growth, breeding, taming, mounting and equipment, this means the Ettin can be more varied along with many other mobs, it also means that there is underlying code for every mob to use where say for example I want baby Ghoul Zombies to spawn like how vanilla zombies work, then I can easily do that because every mob has support for every feature, I just have to turn it on and add some extra things to the entity model.
Once I've finished this new code I'll release a new update that probably won't have many new features if any, but it will use the new code which will be a big change for this mod under the hood, if everyone can help by testing this new update for bugs it would be really awesome too!

Yep I've rewritten a lot of AI and fixed a few bugs I didn't even know existed, I haven't started on the Lurker's yet but once the rewrite is complete I probably will, that or mounts.
So far the new code has opened up a lot of possibilities, the AI is more flexible now, I think I'll release the next once I've finished the rewrite and added taming,
When the new code is complete the following will be supported:
Cacodemons, Lurkers and Erepedes will all become tamable pets that will follow and defend the player unless told to wait like wolves. Pinkies, Jousts and Aspids will all be breedable and will be worth farming. Pinkies, Erepedes and Eyewigs will all be mountable with support for horse armor.
My desert is crawling with jousts Could you fix the spawn rate?
You can change the spawn rates by going to .minecraft/config/lycanite/DesertMobs.cfg
Try lowering the min to 1 or 2, the max to 3 or 4 and the spawn rate down to about 3 or 4. The main problem is that Jousts are animals and unless you have any other mods that add mobs to the desert, they are the only animals that spawn there and thus there are a lot of them! They should only attack if an Alpha (red) is by them and they are much rarer.
Lycanite, I've got plans for you. When you do the Dragon Mobs pack, here's what you should do:
Have some mobs inspired by wyverns/elder dragons from Monster Hunter
Make some other mobs up
Sounds good?
Lol well that's the plan so far, they won't be 100% based off of Monster Hunter though, they'll be very similar but will have different names and color variations. I'm also gonna add a couple of dragons from The Legend of the Dragoon series, Feyrbrand will be a rare Forest dragon boss! But this is a long time for now I've still got a lot of biome mobs to make first!

Progress Update:
The new AI is now ready for all the mobs to be moved over to it! Once this is done, I'll release update 1.0, this will be the first release of the new AI which means a lot of testing will really help me out!
Now that I have a Job, I'm also thinking about setting up a server which will use a public modpack ran through the Technic Launcher, the modpack will contain a range of mods including this mod!
I'm not even disappointed in the wait, if it means that there will be better AI and an easier job of making the mobs. (I still can barely wait though)
I've finished the new AI so now I can start upgrading each mob from the old AI to the new one, I will then have to do a lot of testing and can release a new update which will have a few noticeable differences. After this, I can start adding new advanced features into the AI, such as Taming and Mounting.

Thanks! The Lurker will be a new swamp mob based off the Paramites from the Oddworld series. They will also be tameable! Lurkers will attack using poison and blindness, it will then flee and stealth into the shadows, when/if it's victim recovers from the blindness, it will unstealth and strike again!

I don't have any big mobs planned for halloween, but mob taming and Lurkers should be done for halloween which means you'll be able to have a pet Lurker, pet Cacodemon and pet Erepede (when they are added, maybe for halloween too)!
Will the dragons in the dragons pack rideable like the ones from the shurt-ugal mod?
Some of the dragons will be tameable/mountable/farmable, not all of them though. I'd like to make them flying mounts too but this will be much later on.

I was using a few mods but i took them off and it is still the same problem, about the graphics card i don't know but Im using a macbook air i hope that helps.
Sorry I couldn't add this to the RED NETHERRACK modded nether survival the mobs could scare the crud out of young viewers do after part 6 is uploaded I can try and make a mod reveiw of this mod L: cause it's so boss!
Progress update: I finished converting all of the mobs to the new AI system before I went to sleep last night, there are a few minor bugs that need sorted and then I should be ready to release an update. Also Crypt Zombies and Ghoul Zombies now have a 10% chance to spawn as a child, I'm also thinking about Cacodemon breeding using magma cream as the new AI means that I can make flying mobs breed in mid air!
Hey Lycanite. I just wanted to say that this is the best mod that I have seen in a long time. I know that you already have plans for mobs, but I wanted to make some suggestions:
- If you ever watched or played penumbra, it would be cool if you added the tunnel worm. It could be like the crusk, but able to dig through stone and ore.
- Maybe add cave goblins?
- An undead miner might by a cool thing to add
- You could add hell hounds and cerberus to the nether
- I heard that you were planning on adding dragons. Maybe take a look at some of the Skyrim dragons?
- Maybe add different types of ghosts that spawn underground. They could travel through solid objects? Maybe you can hear thier moans throughout the caverns? Maybe you can use a weapon enchanted with smite to purify the ghost, and allow the cleansed spirit to pass on (gives good items in return)?
- A mountain giant would be awesome for the extreme hills. You could hear him roar from far away.
- Werewolves would be something to think about for forest mobs. Maybe have a system where the player can become a werewolf as an new method of combat?
- Dwarves would be a really cool neutral mob. You can trade with them like villagers (but they'll take gold instead of gems). But if you attack them, they will fight back.
- A corruped golem could be an idea. Iron golems corrupted by demonic magic? Burn you when they attack?
- Wargs? Massive hostile wolves found in desserts that can be farmed and tamed with joust meat?
- Frost zombies and frost skeletons for snow biomes, inflicts slowness?
- A lich would be cool. An undead spirit that can raise the dead. Found in frost biome?
- A wither spirit. A wraith found floating in the nether?
- Demon soldiers. Demonic warriors that can only be killed with smite enchanted weapons?
- A demon lord boss? Has large chamber in nether fortress?
- Sand and rock elementals would be cool to add to the desert.
- Skeleton knights (with frost and wither variations)?
- Cave zombies (faster, gives blindness) that can come out of caves to attack villages at night?
- Demon worm. Terrible wormlike creatures that tunnel through netherrak?
- Darters. Ender mobs that can teleport while chasing you.
- Void spirits? They can create gravitational vortexes that suck you in and kill you?
A lot of very interesting suggestions. Some of them I would like to avoid though such as goblin or werewolves because they tend to be in a lot of other mods, however I absolutely love werewolves and I've been thinking about adding racial mobs in the future, dwarves too and other mobs that have settlements, players would be able to trade with them and do other things such as using a dwarf blacksmith to access a special crafting table to make superior items. But this would be much later on.
Wargs and other giant wolf-like creatures are going to be added to the Forest, Mountain and Arctic biome groups. The Earth Elemental suggestion has just given me an idea for the Erepede which will be a hostile mob that can be tamed and used as a mount, it was going to be a skeletal creature but now I'm thinking it should be more rocky.
Also the Arctic mobs will be based on the slow debuff and there will be a few icy creatures and a few skeletal creatures too.
