Is there a list of things that you can put in bound armor and their effects? Because I figured since the air sigil let me fly, it'd let me fly when I put it in armor. Instead I have no idea what it's doing, but it's not flight that's for sure.
You can put in almost every sigil, and every blood shard and orb. Sigils add effects, shards make it possible to add sigils, and orbs discount the price of those effects. If it doesn't add an effect, it makes you resistant to some kind of damage. Air makes the armor soak fall damage, void soak void, lava soaks fire... You get the idea.
As for flight, we have ways to fly. There is a rite for just such a thing.
So no way to use armor to fly then, kind of a bummer. I was hoping for a method of flight that didn't restrict you to a certain area yet let you use tools.

They are planned, yes, but I think a late-tier sigil for unlimited non-potion flight is called for.

Ah... But we have that...
"Starts to whisper" Remember: the rite gives you a flight potion effect. Now, if only there was a potion system added by blood magic that lets you make a potion with that effect...
"Starts to back into the shadows" But you didn't hear that from me...

Question not the mad-mans ways, for you may begin to see logic in his actions, then find yourself mad as well.
You may call me The Madman, as there is no name that suits me better.
I happen to make modded survival maps, if your interested see my latest: The Asylum
D'oh! I totally forgot about the potion system! Which is odd considering how much alchemy I had to do to get my bound armor just the way I wanted it.
It is surprising how few use it, despite its great power. Be careful, as the condors blessing is fleeting. At its base it only lasts a few seconds, so a boost will be needed for longer use...

This is a great mod, but i'm sorry, your tutorial for upgrading the pedestals and blood altar is not that good, can we have actual pictures for the pedestals positions and a not flashy blood altar, you said it didn't need the stone stairs, there making it hard to follow with those in the way. simple request, that's all.

So I've got my altar and my knife, and when I use the knife blood goes in the altar, and goes away almost immediately, like probably half a second. If I put the stone in the altar and put blood in it, no blood particles form to show it's making anything, and no grey particles either, the blood just goes in, and then almost immediately goes away.
I watched the mod spotlight posted here, and followed it exactly, am I missing something here?

You have galacticraft installed. Blood magic and GC are incompatible, and it is on GC end. We can't fix it, so lets just say the blood magic needs moon power, but GC removes the moon we use and replaces it with a fake moon-like rock.

having ars magica with this mods is kinda funny and weird at the same time since some items in this mod has the same name and look almost the same as ars magica stuff.
but other than that keep it up awesome mod just looking at the banner would have made me download it!!
Okay, so, this mod is really neat! ....but could there be an in-game guide of sorts? I know that would mean going in the same direction of other mods such as Ars Magica or Thaumcraft but maybe there could be like, a Blood-Stained Tome or a Codex of sorts that you would get either by throwing a vanilla book, or maybe a special book into the blood altar for a decent amount of blood? A way to unlock things would be that a certain entry or research or whatever requires a...sacrifice, either a sacrifice of your own or a specific mob (I'd assume LP would be costly enough for beginners, also having to hunt down and lure a specific mob to your altar sounds a little difficult or maybe not I don't know).
Mostly because of the frustration of being unable to be on the internet for long amounts of time and NEI not being reliable enough to use (or at least the version I'm using, may have to update that ouo;;)
Had a quick look at what would happen if I ported to 1.7.2. I opened up Eclipse, pulled the mod folders in... and promptly closed the window as 3000 errors glared at me. Needless to say, I'll want to finish the spells before I go any further!

Ok so i have looked into our Galacticraft Problem:
- Sacrifical knife works only clientsided because Galacticraft uses GCCorePlayerMP extends EntityPlayerMP instead of EntityPlayerMP
- Dagger of sacrifice: same
- Feathered knife: same
- Well of Suffering: !!!WORKS!!!
so if you check for instanceof instead of equals we should be fine, though it might lead to some fake player exploits...
Plus : Bug with teleposers : they only send entities, entities at the destination will not be swaped.
Well now. That is completely unexpected. Never would have thought that they would use a completely different EntityPlayerMP for their shenanigans... The whole reason I had it so that the class had to be equal to EntityPlayerMP was to stop the Autonomous Activator from using the items/dagger (because it doesn't directly use FakePlayer). So I have three options, four if you wanna be sneaky:
I could revert it back to instanceof, making fake players able to use the stuff again and trust the players not to exploit it (not likely).
Leave it be and hope that Galacticraft stops directly changing the SMP player into its own class.
Do nothing at all
OR, I can have it so that it checks if it extends GCCorePlayerMP directly by doing a class.getname.contains("GCCorePlayerMP"). Which would THEN cause issues if anyone else is stupid enough to extend EntityPlayerMP and hope for the best.
So, it will be possible to do this. I'll just need to get it right.

I have a suggestion: I talked a bit about it on the irc but could you replace the numerical costs of the ritual with a random number generator?
As an example the blessing of the condor could take anywhere from 1-10 million although usually it would be 1 million. Maybe other random bad effects. The more powerful a ritual the greater the chance of bad effects and the more severe they are.

Not too sure how much I'd like a variable ritual cost. I kinda detest RNG mechanics.

That looks totally awesome Way, can't wait to see what those bad-boys do. And by the way how did you manage to get the meteors to imbed themselves in the ground, did you put the Marks of the Falling Tower underground?

My seniors at MEOW have noticed that there are cows in the background of your photograph, standing on ice. My seniors would like to know exactly how the cows came to be standing on top of the ice, which can not be very pleasant for them by the way and is against MEOW's ethics a little. Did you use on of your new totally awesome looking spells on them to get them there? If that is the case then you have stepped into MEOW's jurisdiction.

Hail the textbook, for the textbook contains knowledge and knowledge is power. Those who do not seek new knowledge even occasionally are likely to live their whole life in a state of un- fulfilling stagnation.

You must be mistaken, sir. Those are relatively new creations of Cows that have an unnaturally high tolerance to pain and a ridiculous jump height. Unfortunately, they have managed to find their way into my Spell Testing Zone from the Ars Magica Laboratories. Even though they are not my creation, you unfortunately do not have the same juridical powers in the STZ as you do in the lower high-lands in the Overworld. My apologies, but if you wish to talk to the ones responsible for the Cows, you will have to look elsewhere.

Submitted this as a Bug Report on the Galacticraft forums as well. Maybe it can be tackled from both sides.

True, though that assumes that the players don't add the Autonomous Activators to the list ;P
