First of all, you've clearly not played X and Y yet because its the best they've ever done.
But on another note, haven't been following the mod for a while (for whatever reason I don't get the posts from the group in my feed), so for curiosities sake, what MC version is it in now?
1: I have played and beaten Y and my favorite still remains pokemon yellow.
2: It's for 1.6.2. 1.6.4 update should come out "soon".

This could take extensive research, but since you obviously don't have time for that I'll do it for you and finish this post once I've scrounged though the Internet and web page code to catch rumor as to what version the Aether supports.

I found it! After hundreds of milliseconds, I found the answer!
The latest version of the Aether supports Minecraft 1.6.2!
is there a 1.7.2 version of the threaded lightning mod?
Put your graphics on fancy not fast. Then you won't get the bug
It worked, thanks (:
(p.s. The Zephyrs are either glitchy or hella annoying. They seem to zap from one place to another, and they never stop launching me into the air. I'm wearing a slow falling cape so it makes it worse and I end up boosted on and on into the air until I can't see the ground >.<)

Thank you. And Im sorry if I come off as daft or rude. I did see the title, but I really thought it would have moved on to atleast 1.6.4 by now.

Ah, I see. You were just thinking "It HAD to've been updated by now. I mean, they could've just neglected to update the title, right?" Sadly, the title is accurate. To the Aether team "soon" can mean anywhere between 6 months and 10 years. I do not think the Aeter team should get people's hopes up by saying soon, but don't get me wrong. They didn't have to make this plugin. They don't get anything in return. I thank them for even just making the Aether.

All true, and its a shame too. It's a brilliant mod, revived from a legendary mod which I'd say is one of the best minecraft has ever seen! If it were more updated (and more compatible with other mods) I'd use with my other favorites in an instant. But nevertheless, patience is a virtue as they say, and good things come to those who wait. If they need to take this time to ensure the best quality of the mod, then so be it.
I get the sense that the mod is going to die again. It's just too big, and with no official API, it's... :|
Don't worry. Although you probably don't mod, it's almost a universally known fact now that when a mod updates to 1.7.2, it can be updated INSTANTLY. Literally INSTANTLY. All you have to do is change the version on the source code and run a few commands. Gradle will AUTOMATICALLY update it for you. So it looks like IF The Aether II gets to 1.7.2, all our update troubles will be over.

Until Mojang releases 1.8 and ports the entire game over to the Source Engine instead of just Java =P

The Aether II is far from dead. The reason this next upcoming update is taking so long is the sheer amount of content and features being added (you can check out all of the announced content for it here).
Also, about the "no official API" thing, you may be happy to know that PlayerCoreAPI is being dropped next update, so all you'll need is Forge and the Aether II (and ThreadedLighting if you don't want your client to freeze every minute or so).

It's clearly stating that Aether2 is up for 1.6.4 AND 1.7.4
If this is not the case, I urge you to contact them and request a correction or removal from their site.
I already have. They have been completely silent since I sent a message to them. Honestly, you should never download mods from any third party site like MinecraftDL, if you can find a Minecraft Forum thread made by the mod's developer, get it from there.

Just saying, but it's been almost a month since you said you were going to release the Mutation Update. I know how hard it is to mod, but seriously. The Aether Team is made up of professional modders, modellers and texturers who have had years of experience. Just a suggestion, but by 'soon', most people mean two to three days. At the most a week. I'm not trying to be critical, but brushing up on your skills of estimation would be helpful and would aid in avoiding more comments like "It's probably coming out before 2017",
"I hear that Pokémon will be running out of names by the time the update is released" and so on an forth.

I don't know if you were including me specifically or not, but my comments were entirely in jest. I really like the Aether mod and I respect it's creators. I also understand that they're doing it in their free time, and that designing content, modeling, texturing, coding, balancing, and everything else associated with creating mods is time-consuming work. I'm sure that the Aether mod team is doing everything as fast as they can without sacrificing quality, and because of that I'm willing to wait however long it takes.
I just wanted to poke fun at them and the pace development is taking is all.
You know what confuses me? Why are these modders who have made tiny little mods getting a patreon? It begs the question, modding can be done relatively for free, but it depends on the size of the mod and the quality of the content that determines the overall quality of the mod, which is my main problem with mods like Divine RPG and OreSpawn. If anything, I say that the Aether team deserve a patreon over most others.
Just relax, guys. Huge mods like this one take time to move from stage to stage. Better to do that than to rush it and leave a crap-ton of potentially huge bugs around that can screw you over. ... Not to say I'm not looking forward to it as much as anyone else, of course

Compatibility with other mods should be much better in the next update. Work will begin on a port to 1.7 after the next update's release.
Nerfed next update.
Even mods that have their own dimensions?
Hopefully, as long as item IDs/dimension IDs don't conflict.
