I think i have an idea for the future; not a addition.
I think releasing smaller updates often would be better than waiting half a year for one, even though this is the jump to beta.

Is it good if you release it now while it's buggy and let the bugtracking be done by the players themselves?
And they just report it here?
They wouldn't release buggy versions like that to a large player base, they would do it for a smaller group first. And, any large scale bugtracking would be better done in an actual bugtracker, not just the forums where people would continue posting the same bug over and over again. Only with that level of organization can they easily get meaningful feedback quickly.

Well, it seems that for most of the time, the Aether 2 team was mostly working on a Gilded Games project. But then again, I think that we should pity the Aether 2 team. I mean, it's hard to do good work under all the pressure. So let's try to give them a break and pray for the best. P.S. I think the Twilight Forest may actually seem more complicated then the Aether, but with the party and dungeon systems and whatnot, it really has many more classes. So it takes longer to update.
People are so impatient its ridiculous. Acting like the team is obligated to give us an update... They aren't. They didn't even have to update the mod and make a second in the first place. They chose to because they figured it would make us happy, and it did. Yet people still get snappy with the team when they take a certain amount of time to work on this update? The previous updates were alpha, no specified times for release were ever given. lol Giving the team an attitude is certainly not a good way of making them want to update in my eyes.
Of course, I would love to see the update as much as the next guy, (especially the nerfed zephyr addition ), but that doesnt give me the right to get mad at the team if it doesnt come out when I expect it to.

On another note, the update really sounds very cool and I am certainly looking forward to it. New biomes, new creatures, and nerfed zephyrs. Sounds like aether is going to finally ease back and show the "paradise" part of "hostile paradise".
Can I use the Aether/Aether II in my mod pack?
Yes, feel free to use either, but be sure to credit the Aether Team when doing so. Also be aware that the Aether II is in an alpha state and is incompatible with many mods. Fixing any incompatibilities is on you, the mod pack creator.

I'd click that adf.ly stuff alot if they release this like that.
BTW Collin, nice profpic(off-topic tho)

Could you do that to my link :3
^^ I LOOOVE TCONSTRUCT! ^^
^^FIRST MOD I EVER INSTALLED^^
Are you referring to the launcher or the mod itself after installation?
Of course, I would love to see the update as much as the next guy, (especially the nerfed zephyr addition ), but that doesnt give me the right to get mad at the team if it doesnt come out when I expect it to.

So is the 1.6.4 update really close now?
Can we get an approximate date?
Nope! There's still no ETA (the FAQ is your friend), but if one is set, you'll hear about it first on our Facebook and Twitter.
Modpack permissions?
Again, FAQ.
I have a new account called "Mushroomsock" now, so please do not send me PMs.
