I would really like if the boots of the horizontal shield just gave a speed bonus instead of applying haste upgrade, because the particles that haste is constantly making are really annoying, but I don't want to turn my particles off - I like the looks of other particles in thaumcraft. Is there any other way around this?
I had the same problem you did, but I BELIEVE, not know, believe, that the research somehow reset for the bow. I don't know. If I'm wrong, you can try downloading another mod that adds bows, such as the Lord Of The Rings mod, which adds a plethora of bows for the different races. I did, however, unlock the bow in the end.
If you can't get it any of those ways, you could always cheat it in, and then scan it. I think it might unlock itself, though, once again, I don't know for sure. This is ALL speculation. I'm sorry if I or my ideas are unable to help. sorry :C
You could also have cheated in a bunch of research fragments. They turn into research notes you haven't unlocked yet. Derp. Sorry I was too late. :C
Also, Thaumonomicons are stored for players, not for books. This is why thisr Addon Adds an (Book of sharing? Tome of Sharing? I forget) item that allows a person to get all of the research from the person who right clicked it first.
NetherX adds it's own version of Zombie Pigmen to the Nether, so will you still be able to get Nether Shards from these mobs, or custom mobs that spawn in the end as well?
You know? I've been curious long enough. I'd like to know what use the Nether and Ender "Shards" have to do with anything? I want to collect some and find a use for them.

Is there a particular mod for those or something?
You need nether and ender shards to make ichor, which is used to make very powerful armor and wands and stuff.
I was playing in creative mode with the train thing and was very sad when I saw that you cant put a chair or minecart on top of it and use it for transportation. :[
Chair from bibliocraft, it didnt get moved at all. Cart was on rails. The rails moved, but the cart didnt.
I'd really love if you added a 2nd type of train for carrying people. Itd be amazing to have a magic transport thing between floating islands or something
Anywone know how to get the ichorim research? i have all the other research from all the mods i have installed but i cant find it, and i realy want some ichorium O_O
I saw some pictures of the enchanting process from previous versions, and noticed that there were particles coming out of the nitor in each of the colors of the six primal aspects, going towards the enchanter. Can you re-add those again? I thought that looked really cool, and I want that to be put back in. Thanks.
My question goes unanswered... I really liked the look of those particles, because I'm like OBSESSED with particles. I don't know why, they're just aesthetically pleasing to me.

...Really? Huh... Never got that far to Kami. Just got far enough to make golems and just adore how they are put to work <3
I do wish they had more use, I thought they were a part of Ars Magicka and that means more spells, and/or more types of magic. There isn't much in the way of animating weapons or summoning structures made of thaumium, Vis or Flux...
I was hoping that I could at least outfit a Golem in a way to follow me like a companion (Instead of me spamming the bell just for them to keep up with me) Equip him with a weapon and a Thaumium backpack and we can go on adventures.
ttkami is where? I am so confused please help me am i going blind!
It's part of the mod, not a separate download. You have to enable it in the config.

That does sound fun, though with my luck he'd fall off a cliff or into some lava while we were adventuring. That's what always happened to my traveling trunks anyway.

Just script him to warp around like a dog, and make also, for balance, give the player a tough choice between cores that allow the golem to avoid or deal with certain dangers while following the players, or giving the golem some beneficial boost. And allow/not allow the golem to hold any enchanted items.
Like... The basis of a sort-of "Companion" golem is that he needs either a, or just as, Adventurer core.
Then the basic Order, Air, Fire, Water, Earth, or Entropy can alter how the golem deals with what he is given.
I guess... maybe an example off the top of my head, is that a Golem Fire core will allow the golem to steer clear of lava. Earth core makes the Golem resist knock back of any, or of most sources (Wind, incredibly strong blows, etc.) Air allows the Golem to avoid falling from tall heights that could injure or kill it, forcing it to find a path down and take drops that won't hurt it. Water allows the Golem to swim out of pools of water, Entropy allows the golem to attack even creepers by following a simple pattern of attacking, staying close enough for a brief moment, and running away. Order teaches the Golem to attack what the player is attacking, otherwise with the core, it'll attack any hostile the moment they target it or the player.
Maybe alternate Primal cores made just for the "Adventurer Core" that give some benefit with some other downside, like making its attacks stronger at the cost of shorter detection sight, moving out of the way when it senses a oncoming projectile unless there isn't much room, etc.
I'm having trouble getting ender shards. (Haven't tried nether shards yet, so I don't know if my problem extends to them) I've been killing endermen in the end, both by hand, and using an mfr grinder over a spawnpad I built beyond spawning range of the main island. At this point I have 15k ender pearls in my AE system, and not one shard. Any ideas what the problem could be, and if this is intended behaviour, how I can get the shards?
Thanks
You have to kill them by blade, there is no way to automate it.
Haste is a mining speed buff >_>
But I agree.

The Haste Enchant is for speed boost in boots
Yeah, but the vanilla Haste potion effect (which the BotHS give) is mining speed.

Good point xD
