Hmm, this is an interesting point. I will remember it, however, it will not be added during 1.4. And if they return, it won't be in the same way they used to be!
Thanks for bringing it up though, watch out for updates that come in the future!

Hey everyone! I know I posted this on twitter, but here is a preview of the Faithful Texture Pack patch, hopefully will be out soon!
32x textures for everybody!!
I'm having an issue with forge. I installed the latest version, and did all of the regular stuff (copying all of the files into the .jar file) and then tried the same with your mod, and now I freeze on the startup screen. Any help?
EDIT: I got the game to start up, but now the mod isn't active.

You never copy the files into the minecraft.jar. The zip file you download from our link goes directly into the mods folder.
Thanks for the suggestion however, I don't think we are going to go that route. It sounds like a cool idea, but it adds to the already giant number of item ID's significantly. We already have 1015 sword combinations, adding the possibility of dyed blades would make that number (16 dyes x 1015 swords) is 16,240 sword combinations. Yikes!

I did that and I crashed because of bad video drivers. (which are entirely up to date)
Not sure if it still matters nowadays, but did you delete META-INF in your Minecraft jar? Also, what Ghost said is correct, any mods made for Forge Modloader are dropped in the "mods" folder that's found in the ".minecraft" folder. If you previously put BladeCraft into the jar, then you'll need a fresh jar.

I made sure of that last bit before I even started. META.INF is deleted, and I had to create the mods folder. (There wasn't one in the bin)

There isn't supposed to be one in the bin. The mods folder directory is created by forge after you run minecraft with it installed. The mod folder is in the .minecraft directory. Also, it would only crash since I believe Forge updates the OpenGL, so you'll need to update your graphics drivers.
This probably makes me sound stupid. I've never used forge. I've only used MCPatcher for my mods and never had a problem.
Not stupid, don't worry, gotta start somewhere! Also, I just realized Minecraft update 1.5.2 came out today. Forge has not yet released their modloader for 1.5.2, so that may be your problem! If you have a 1.5.1 jar, that should work, or you can wait until Forge and BladeCraft have updated for 1.5.2.
This is a really cool looking mod. When do you think the 32x32 textures are going to be done?
We will definitely be releasing them as an optional addition to add to the Faithful texture pack zip as soon as I can update BladeCraft for Minecraft 1.5.2 (Once Minecraft Forge updates).

Yep the textures are done! I could post them now, but you guys would be all "whaa!?" trying to install them and where to put all the files... So we're creating an easy installation which will come with the next update!

32x textures for everybody!!
I'm glad I was somewhat able to help make these textures, even if they're not the same ones I made. I'd appreciate it if you at least gave me partial credit for helping out.

If the spacing is weird on any of my posts, I probably forgot to turn off my Japanese IME.

Thanks for the review! I will contact you when I release other mods for reviews as well.

Also, to the reviewer above:
Thanks a ton for this 1.5.1 review! It's the latest I've seen so far, and it's well done! Definitely sticking this in the OP. Cheers!
