They do no not need any one to test out Dev snapshots, they're perfectly capable of doing that themselves. Another thing is they have a great modeler and texturer. And finally, if you know literally NOTHING about coding then you don't belong on a team that creates mods. Sorry but its the truth.

Oh and adding a replacement of larger size for the velociraptor is an excellent idea. Not only will it fill in the gap, but if you code in some new AI, this dinosaur could be extremely interesting and a great addition to our worlds.
Hmm.. this I'm interested in. Too my knowledge no skull nor any fossil coming from a Barosaurus head has been found. Or perhaps published is the correct terminology to be used here? Even specimen ROM 3670 needed an Apatosaurus skull to be used instead of a Baraosaurus' due to one not being discovered(?). As many should know Sauropod skulls seem to never properly fossilize it seems.
Anyways, I'm curious to what information you can tell me regarding this jaw that you and your past colleagues(?) had found.

Still quite a bit of work to go before I can stop making world folders that look like "Copy of Copy of Copy of Copy of--------------------------------------------". But with CoolAlias's structure generation API we'll be able to do a lot more cool things with structures. After this bit is refined next is to sink those ships...
Also have been slowly improving the riding, hopefully it'll be less painful to ride around.
Actually, that's not the truth. I'm the project manager for EBXL and I have no coding experience. Just like many texture people can't code and a lot of coders don't do texture. I know of a couple other big mods where the lead person is not a coder as well. Most mods, especially the larger ones, benefit by having someone that is in charge of coordinating things, thus taking that responsibility away from those that can do the coding and textures, freeing up their time so they can concentrate on what they are good at, where as my strong suit is planning, organizing, ideas, dealing with the public and keeping everyone focused on what needs to get done.
That isn't to say that person was someone that was right for the team, most mods don't recruit people that ask in their thread like that, but to say if you can't code that you don't belong on a mod team is just not correct.
I love how you are making the buildings work within the terrain they are in, it looks awesome. My only comment would be to ask if you could make the structures be made out of materials found in the area they are in? (Like the ones in the desert made from sandstone.) I know it's possible as we are looking at doing that for villages and I think it would make them look better.
I really hope someone can help me. I bought minecraft for the computer yesterday for my son's birthday. He really wants the Fossils and Archeology mod. I have spent alllllll day trying to figure out how to get the mod to work (got forge, got the fossil mod, watched countless you tube videos, tried multiple things, etc.) and I just can't figure out the steps! The forge part works (but it's like 1.6.4 or whatever the latest version is) and when I open Minecraft using that profile I see where it says mods but, even after moving the fossil mod into the mods folder, it just crashes. I don't know much about messing around with files and stuff unless it's basic and my son is wayyyyy too young to be using the internet at this point. Is there some place where it just tells you step by step how to do this? Am I having issues because my version of Minecraft is 1.7.2, the forge version is 1.6.4, and the fossil mod is 1.5.2? I'm completely lost and know nothing about this.

Yes, that is the problem, unfortunately. You will need to downgrade your versions of Minecraft and Forge in order to use this mod as it has not updated past 1.5.2 as of yet. They will be updating eventually, but for now the only option is to run with 1.5.2 versions of Minecraft, Forge and any other mods you want to install.

Anyways, this is why this mod interests me. Although its not spot on or extremely realistic, I love minecraft and this mod seems to be the best one for Dinosaurs.
