Again, probably not high in priority, but just one of those details that we'll eventually have to get to. However, I don't think the player shouldn't have to use fuel, since for a safe re-entry, the boosters would have to control the rocket's descent.
I can agree that fuel should be used in order to reach your destination, but I don't agree with the idea that you can use the rocket boosters to control your descent.

I mean, you're not just going to fall out of the sky, once you start losing speed as you get closer to the surface since your orbit will probably decay, you're going to start plummeting towards the ground. I guess for planets with atmospheres you could use a parachute to slow your fall to something safer, but if you have a station on a planet with no atmosphere, there's nothing for the parachute to catch on, so it's ineffective. Maybe it can cost less fuel once the whole fuel system is fleshed out more, but I don't think the whole cost to descend to a planet from its station should be removed.
This is really interesting, but I'm not sure if it's Galacticraft or if it's the UE framework that's causing the bug. What version of MC are you using?
It is the 1.5.1. (there is not any other mod, just Galcticraft and Basic Component).
And for the picture in the first page ?
I think it might be a problem with the Basic Components mod, but I'm not sure. I'll check with Mic and see if we can replicate it. As for the pictures, I'm not sure what's up with that, but I'll get them from Mic and reupload to Imgur. Should be more stable.

I have one question, if the moon is currently the one you can travel too, why is yogscast able to go to mars???
Are you hiding a secret you don't want us to know about?

Please read at least some of the comments before you post. I have answered this question in big red letters so you can't miss it. And yes, we are hiding a secret. That secretly this isn't our jobs and we do this for fun, so expecting us to recreate the empty solar system and fill it out with cool stuff as our hobby and do it exceedingly fast is somewhat unfair I would say, especially since the mod is WIP. If we didn't want you to know about something, then why would we let the Yogscast broadcast it across the internet? Actually, if we were smart and didn't want the community to know something, the best course of action is probably to NOT PUT IT IN THE FREGGIN' MOD. The whole question is a little silly and I personally would greatly appreciate it if you were to read at least 2 pages of comments to look for an answer rather than blindly asking a question. A lot of people have been asking for more planets, and we're getting there. I'm not sure when Mars will be ready, but again, this is our hobby and not our job, so I think a little appreciation for what we have so far is in order instead of just looking for more content and not enjoying what you've got. I know Mic works his butt off every day writing thousands of lines of code trying to get stuff to work, and is making great progress towards a nice big release. He sometimes streams his work, just so you guys can know that he is working a ton. Like until 4 in the morning a ton.
You remember the Aether? That great mod that added a new dimension filled with wonder and awe? You remember how long it was between updates? We're trying to do that same quality eventually 11 times over. Maybe not as much content per dimension, but we still need new models, textures, sounds, world gen, mechanics, and gajillions of lines of code per dimension. A lot of mods add in a new dimension or two, and that's the showcase of the mod, the main point. Coding a whole dimension is unbelievably complex, let alone one that functions strangely like Mars or the moon. I appreciate that you're interested in the mod, and that you did watch the videos and are hopefully following the progress. The same goes for the million and a half or so other people that have seen the video. I understand that you guys are really excited, and I am too. But I just ask that you understand, this is Mic's free time, blood, sweat, and tears put into something for the community, and asking that he do it faster is a little insulting.
Also that I enjoy gouda more than I probably should.
TL;DR - Calm yourself and be patient, coding is hard. Also guilty cheese.
Every time I try to download the mod from micdoodle8.com it doesn't work.
When I skip the Adfoc.us thing it says "network error" after a long period of time.
Please fix this problem, really looking forward to playing this mod
Thanks
We've been having a lot of problems with the file hosting since there's so much traffic due to the sheer number of people following the mod because of the Yogscast video, and with the number of updates that are put out. So there are a lot of people downloading the files frequently. I've let Mic know there's a problem and he's trying to figure out how to fix it. I think as of right now, it's just a bad timing thing, too many people at once. I would try to download at a different time, and if it still doesn't work, know that we're on it. Thanks for the support!
When I made a new world I started finding them underground exactly how an ore vein would spawn.
The block id is changed I think. It seems like the ores that would spawn normally are being overwritten. I'm not sure of this, but I would try changing the block IDs around and see if that helps. If not, then I'll let Mic know something's weird.
No, actually and it never will be. jk most mods are multiplayer now, nearly all actually. And this is one of them. The only ones that aren't are the ones that modify certain classes.
read through the entire listing of posts; nowhere did i see mention of the fact that the batteries we can craft CANNOT be used to make the battery box. The batteries we craft do not have a durability/charge bar, and the ones for the battery box do. I tested this by cheating in a battery box and placing in one of the craftable batteries to charge. I then used the battery to power the furnace. Once the battery was fully drained( I did this for 3 batteries), I was able to craft the battery box with the empty batteries that had the durability/charge bar. Kinda hard to charge batteries when you can't legitimately craft the charging item..=P

I don't think this bug is involved with Galacticraft, I think it's a bug with Basic Components. Unless you're using one of the blocks added by Galacticraft, the problem would be with BC since battery boxes and batteries are added by it. It's a possibility that Galacticraft is messing with how they function, but I'm 99% sure it's not. Wish I could help, sorry
Buildcraft has nothing to do with either the batteries or the battery box. They're part of UE, which is included in the galacticraft jar.
Edit: NVM..I see you're using BC to denote basic components, not buildcraft, derp. I'll see what I can do in the class files.
I would recommend against that actually, just run wires to transfer power. UE will be updated soon, just report a bug for them and it'll be fixed in the next version or two.
I've downloaded the latest dev build of Galacticraft, which is supposed to add Moon Landers, according to the recent changes listing, but when I get into the game, I can't find it anywhere. I have a couple other mods installed, so it's possible that it is an ID conflict, but usually that throws some sort of error. That's not the case here; the lander just doesn't appear in the creative inventory or NEI.
The lander isn't quite finished yet, the model is, but the texture is still being worked on. I've got a few models in the works for different stuff in the mod, and just haven't been able to finish up the final details. It'll be in soon.
I need some assistance, I've installed this mod many times before (and it's a great mod) but I have an error, the mod keeps insisting I have two copies installed so it's conflicting with itself even though I only placed one copy in the Coremods folder, here is the error logs of errors(?):

I'm getting ender chests spawning as well at level 49 just now. And a pile between 29 and 41. Haven't found any Galacticraft blocks yet any way of changing this.
I'm not sure then. It might be a typo in the code and instead of spawning in the ore id it's spawning the ender chest id. I'd report it on the site.
I donwloaded the new 75 dev version today but still have no NEI with it! If I use the old -16 build it works fine but as soon as I update beyond that I have lost ALL nei in game. And while my wife enjoys playing (which means I get to play more!!) she won't pay with out NEI!! LOL
The best way to get it fixed would be to report it on the site and let Mic know. I'm not sure which mod is having problems, but the first step would be for us to check Galacticraft.
hey guys ive got a little problem every time i start to pump fuel into my rocket the game crashes i dont even have enough time to get enough fuel in it to launch has anyone else had this problem?

I'm not sure then. It might be a typo in the code and instead of spawning in the ore id it's spawning the ender chest id. I'd report it on the site.
The best way to get it fixed would be to report it on the site and let Mic know. I'm not sure which mod is having problems, but the first step would be for us to check Galacticraft.
