Are you serious, there are coloured fancy lamps and coloured candle lamps. I believe you use dyes, please look in the item lost before you ask silly questions.
I'm pretty sure that their question is about different metals other than gold, rather than dyes...
Just a question - And i apologize if its been mentioned elsehwere in this very long thread
I would like to update Bibliocraft, however i use the Add-ons for Natura and ExtrabiomesXL and the information on the page with the addons says its for version 1.5.0.
Will you be updating the addon's to be compatible with newer versions of Bibliocraft?
What about being able to see the name of a Waypoint on the Mapframe if you hover over it with the reading Glasses on...
I was thinking about adding something like that. I worry a little that it might create some lag when looking at the map for some folks because it basically means I have to do a bunch of math in the background while you look at the map to determine if you are looking at a point. I'll play with that some to try to figure if there will be some slowdown or not. It might be fine. But yeah, I think that would be something nice to have and I will probably look into it more after the 1.7 update. There is something other fun things I would like to do with maps too, like running strings from pin to pin. (That will be a bit tricky across multiple maps, but doable I think)
How do I do the extended maps, I tried making four different maps for a 2x2 frame setup but then 2/4 maps will disappear
The map frames work pretty much just like item frames, except just scaled differently, so the process for making extended maps would be the same as vanilla. I haven't heard of any disappearing maps. Is there any errors in the error log? When do the maps disappear?, when added to the frame? or on world re-loading?
i love this mod!!! my only question is......will there be colored lamps? i know that only gold has nuggets so its sort of hard to make an equivilent without installing another mod that adds so many other ores and things that i will never use except to make colored lamps.
Eventually I think I would like to add some other metals. I am waiting till after 1.7 for stuff like that. It will be much easier when there are no more block ID's to deal with.
I will try to implement the usage of these methods in my mod too. However, I'm not sure when I will do the next update. It might be once Forge for 1.7 is released, so don't hurry.
Fair enough. I'll plan to make it part of my 1.7 update. I'm kind of hanging back on BiblioCraft right now anyway, waiting for a stable forge release for 1.7 before adding anything else.

The Bibliowoods packages are all compatible with the newest release of BiblioCraft. I just had forgotten to update the addons page to reflect that. My bad! I just updated the page to say 1.5.0+.
I am not certain if this is the correct place to post it, or if the idea has already been explored, but i had an idea of a sort of jar you could place and fill with spider eyes (mostly just for the cosmetics of having such a thing lying about)
again, sorry if this has already been proposed and turned down
Pardon me if I'm missing something obvious here ... is there any way to put carpet under a wooden seat the same as under a wooden table? I've tried using the same technique as for a table, and placing the seat on top of the carpet, and neither works.
Also ... what's the chance of us ever seeing Bibliocraft beds with the stylistic versatility of Bibliocraft tables and chairs, but with the spawn-point functionality of vanilla beds?
To somewhat expand on the previous request, what I'd love to see in Bibliocraft beds is some or all of the following:
— larger beds (2x2 and 2x3, say) that look better in a room than the cramped-looking 1x2 vanilla bunks, as well as the 1x2 size;
— different base bed styles: perhaps a standard bed base with legs, a lower platform bed base with no legs, a taller high frame, and a captain's bed base with built-in storage;
— choice of adding a couple of different headboards, a mosquito net (for those steamy jungle biomes), a canopy, or a full curtained four-poster;
— support for bedspreads and carpet as for Bibliocraft tables.
I'm aware of a couple of different alternate-bed mods, but they all appear to be abandoned; none have updated to 1.6, last time I looked.

I love this mod and use it, but you were mentioning wanting different bed styles. I also use the mod Carpenter's Blocks, which lets you do a lot of different things, including beds. I'm not sure if it can do everything you are wanting, but it does a lot, and is up to date.
So I was wondering... does bibliocraft furniture cause any kind of lag? I'm having a serious fps issue (like under 10 frames bad) only when I look at my house I can't figure out what's causing it.

Right now Carpenter's Beds only change their covers, but yes, the different bed shapes sound more like the changing shapes of Carpenter's Block (tha barrier in particular) than anything Bibliocraft does.

One way to cause a lot of lag with Bibliocraft is to display a lot of items with enchantment glow. Potion shelves in particular.
Hmm. I was kind of thinking of beds as completing the set (so to speak) of chairs, stools, benches and tables that can already be made with Bibliocraft, but Carpenter's Blocks does look interesting.
Any mod that uses Forge can't update until Forge does.... A "beta" version just came out yesterday, but that's mostly for bug testing and for mod makers to start looking at what has changed. After testing is done and there is a "recommended" version of Forge, mods will all have to update, which depending on the changes to Minecraft and Forge and how those affect the mod, could be anywhere from a day or two up to weeks.
Just do what most people that play modded Minecraft do and stay on the previous version until all or most of the mods you use update.
For crying out loud, dude, the BETA of Forge for 1.7 just came out yesterday. (Which was AMAZINGLY fast considering that Minecraft Coder Pack for 1.7 was only released a few days before that. Funny how it takes a long time to update things like this when Mojang changes half a million lines of code in a single release.)
I'm guessing patience is a virtue. There's two things you did in this pack that I would LOVE to know how to do: One, create subclasses (i.e., oak table, spruce table, etc.) and Two: the bookshelf itself - which is essentially a custom chest with a custom gui. Unfortunately, your code is still 1.5 --- which I can't use. Dang. I suppose *SIGH* I must be patient & wait for the update on MCP & Forge. Meh.

Do you have version 1.5.x? Seats were only just added in that version.

Can we have metal frames, and frames that work with mod metals? (Metallurgy, tinker's, etc.)
But they were still asking if coloured lamps existed

Very nice, good work and ty. ;D

Have a little patience. Nobody's stopping you from using vanilla bookcases. If you don't like all the items Bibliocraft adds, why are you using Bibliocraft...?
Are you using optifine?
