Hey have you ever tried your mod with sonic ether unbelievable shaders. Im using Zeus v10.0 (Ultra) I just wanted to mention that the sky block beam gets ruined by my beautiful shaders.
It also has the downloads for zeus shaders there too. I would really recommend checking them out and see if you could fix the beam some day if you feel like it. For me shaders and smart moving are a must. I really helps with the Zelda style and feel with minecraft.
Anyways hope this isn't a bother, love the items and artwork. I will continue to monitor any news

I also wanted to add some ideas:
Crystal ball like in zelda OoT that when you hit it with an arrow, bomerang, sword, fist. Whatever it activates a redstone signal for a short period of time. (Maybe adjustable time?) Maybe just an on and off switch. But I was hopping for something we could shoot at to activate a door quickly.

You won't be updating for 1.6, alright. When 1.7 comes out will you update it? Or will you ignore 1.7 and wait for the inevitable 1.7.1. Or never update it. It'd just be nice to know.
When you get a person that bugs you to update something when they have zero experience and/or is filled with an ideal to which it can be updated in a few days, and multiply it by a large number; you tend to get annoyed and sometimes lose motivation to update.

I'm really happy this mod isn't dead, I thought it was until I saw your post about the sword. I've heard it is hard to update mods from 1.5 to 1.6. But I really hope the mod gets out soon. Good luck!
Hey, im wondering, would there be a price that we could all contribute to reach, to possibly have a update for 1.6? say for example: if we raised 1000$ through donating, and as the months go by, you could just update the post with how much $ we are at maybe.

Honestly 1.7 will probably require a major re-write of most mods. The networking code has changed, on top of the rendering engine (yet again) And given the new world gen mechanics in vMC, a world restart might be good anyway.
1.7 looks like it will be out sometime after Minecon, depending on how much more content Dinnerbone and the crew decide to put in (and how much they plan to break >_>)

Interesting. yet ty. I wish the modding community could all together just pick a damn version. hahaha There are so many good mods that it would be awesome to use together. some mod authors are only working on 1.6.2, some are going only 1.6.4, some are sticking to 1.5 till 1.7.
I wonder if the coding for the newer versions will get easier. or more complicated.
Love the mod and had a ton of fun with it in my adventures with my girl friend. One of our favorite things about the mod was kind of corny, We really liked the sword holder, not the fact that you could repair with it, just the fact that you could display the sword. We made some amazing battle rooms for many of our mods with the aid of this mod and a mixture of others. However we have moved on to 1.6.4 and we wanted to know if any one know of an alternative mod that had a similar sword pedestal that could hold us over until this mod gets updated in this or future patches.
I wish this mod was updated for 1.6.x or 1.7.2 so I can play it. I always had a lot of problems with my life and couldn't do modding but I have time playing and say that I always love this mod no matter what happens I'm still gonna love it.
1.7 hasn't been released with the mod API nor 1.8 has the mod API in plans.
And even with the mod api, I think Forge will still be needed to acomplish certain things. Remember, ForgeModLoader loads Forge the API.
Notch promised us a mod API back in, I want to say 0.7.2... you'd think by now he (and now Jeb) would have finished the bleep-ing thing! *sigh*
And true, I'm betting it'll take a while for the mod authors to switch from using forge hooks to native hooks when we do get an official API... oh well...

Why is that exactly? Does 1.7 really screw up forge that much?

Keep in mind that (supposedly) 1.7 will introduce an official mod'ing API, we might not need forge anymore.
