@Mohicanman02: Ghostwood fletching serves as a replacement for feathers, should you stay for an extended duration in the Nether. Most of the items in Natura serve the purpose of replacing an Overworld item that cannot be obtained normally in the Nether. The compatibility between Natura and TCon comes from things such as Flame String being able to be converted into bowstring that adds a fire effect to the bow it is used in.
As to the effects of perks, Tasty currently has no obvious effect on tool function. Pig Iron is mostly a joke item, as far as I can tell from prior posts between mDiyo and those who suggested its addition. As to Thaumic, it differs from Writable in that it can stack with itself. The more parts of a tool that are made of Thaumic materials, the more additional modifiers you earn. Writable is only capable of adding one additional modifier, even if you were to make a tool completely of paper.

Pigiron is indeed a joke item. He said "If you make textures for a new material, I'll add it." and I decided to make the most trolly material I could think of >:3
Tasty will drop some bacon on use. A full Pigiron tool will drop bacon 1% of the time.
Just downloaded the alpha for Tinkers Construct 1.7.2 and Mantle. What is Mantle and who's Slime Knight? I try to see what mod he or she created. I did see a button for "Mod Option" Is that yours?

New to the Tinkers Construct, Just started using the B-Team mod pack a few weeks ago.
As of the last update 1.5.3 crafting stations and crafting slabs can now be used to "see in to" chests.
This exploit is being used to grief other players. Is there a way to disable this feature of the crafting tables?
They were working fine before the last update, now they are a banned items on most servers.
Any help would be forwarded on to the server owner of the server I play on.
I want my Crafting stations back, they are so much more useful than crafting tables because they don't drop items when you exit the GUI.
If this has been covered in other posts, I am sorry, please leave a link to the other threads/posts.
I did look for 3 hrs, but there is 436 pages in this thread alone.
With a pig spawner (from MFR, or others), and existing mechanics, we think it's possible to completely automate generating blocks of pigiron.
Even without a spawner, there are mods that do automatic feeding/breeding, and existing vanilla "mobs spill out of fenced areas" behavior will give you a small but steady supply.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
FoolishBalloon: Iron Doors should already be meltable.
Garakson: Mantle is the base library for TConstruct. It has some of the more common features abstracted so that they don't need replicated across every mod we have. Slime Knights are the we - the team behind TConstruct currently.
WAM86: This is the first I've heard of the crafting station being used to "greif" people, and "banned on most servers" is hyperbole. What exactly is going on here?
Pixelated: Put them under a faucet and let them flow over a bunch of casting tables. The results should be obvious.
Keybounce: Your fully automatic pigiron spawner will need an iron golem farm, villagers, and pigs. Lots of pigs.
Could use some advice about Tinker Construct 1.7.2??
I thought I'd give the alpha version of Tinker Construct 1.7.2 and my system ran like a dog. Yike! I ran Forge 10.120.0.1039 + Mo' Creatures for 1.7.2 and I was shocked.
Yet, I've run about 18 mods when playing MC 1.6.4.
I'm not 100% certain if it Ti Const or Forge. So, I got rid of that Forge version of Minecraft and reinstall MC 1.7.2. I downloaded this version of Forge: 10.12.0.1012 . When I ran just Mo Creatures, the system ran at its usual 16 fps. Feeling adventurous, I installed the two files for 1.7.2; namely Mantle and Tinker Construct.
I found myself with a crash. I already know that it's the wrong Forge version; as it worked before.
What would be a good approach? Should I go back to MC 1.6.4 and my modpack? I already have my desired mods in a seperate download folder. Here's an odd side note, my version of Mo' Creatures allows for the Ents. It probably got included in the latest version I wated to try the Tinkers Construct on the new stuff. for MC 1.6.4. I already got EXBL and Natura. Don't have BOP.

mDiyo, thoughts on raising the recharge rate for flux tools to combat the animation reset?
Honestly, I would prefer to see the Max Flux amount and Flux Charge Rate based on the capacitor used, currently it doesn't matter what capacitor you add it'll give it the Flux ability and set the max charge to 400000 and charging rate to 75/tic.

Yeah but you can't change it once you have applied it. So you can't upgrade your tool later with a better capacitor. :C

The table's function to access a nearby inventory allows it to bypass some chest locking/ security plugins.
I do not know if it works with TE3 strongboxes.

I did that before, but I was hoping for mass producing of glass blocks, not panes. Or clicking the faucet over and over to fill a couple of basins.
Ah well.

Sorry if this seems obvious, but I need a bit of clarification. When you say that Optifine "isn't supported", do you mean that you don't have any special code to handle having Optifine, and therefore any crashes with Optifine are officially "Not My Problem"? Or do you mean that TConstruct detects if Optifine is installed and refuses to load if it is?
I was using TCon with about a hundred or so other mods, and it only crashed (before getting to the title screen, in fact) when I installed Optifine. I was wondering if that was an intentional "I hate Optifine" crash, or if Optifine messes up code in your mod somehow.
Finally, if Optifine does mess up code in your mod, would others in the community be allowed to produce a patch to fix the conflict? TCon is my all-time favourite tool mod. I just love the way I can customize everything! But, I really need Optifine's enhancements, too.
Either way, great mod!

Any crashes/ bugs are a "Not My Problem" situation. There is no code to specifically crash with Optifine loaded.

I may or may not play GT. I also might be playing it with TiC. Some Metallurgy and ExtraTiC could be in the mix too. I might have also dropped in some TE as well. Some AE and BC could possibly be on the list. And I maybe- just maybe - there's NEI to assist in short-term memory loss that I may or may not have.
I'm sure mDiyo wouldn't mind if you were to make a patch to fix crashes with Optifine, but, as mDiyo himself put it: "No modder in their right mind would support Optifine." The changes made by Optifine, even in the Forge compatible versions, are borderline base edits, and thus cause incompatibilities with a whole host of mods, no matter how basic. To support Optifine would mean dealing with the constant changes made to the basic infrastructure of their mod, as well as attempting to understand what changes they make to the rendering of Minecraft, and making different patches for every version of Optifine (Light, Standard, and Ultra).

Hehe. Sounds like have mDiyo confused with another mod author.
Anyway, back on topic, how far does TiC go with Metallurgy support/implementation? I'm a bit interested in installing Metallurgy but I really prefer to stay with the TiC system of tool creation. Can TiC tools be made from Metallurgy metals by any chance, or are they just processable in the smeltery?
Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/

Hi, I am having an issue with this mod.. We placed it on our server (and each of the players has it) and we have traveled thousands of kms in many directions and we're seeing no world gen. I will be the first to admit i installed it incorrectly at first, but once we figured out how to put it in properly, still nothing. The game does see the mod or at least the game sees the updater as we were propmpted to update but as yet we have found nothing. There is some world gen showing up but we double checked and it is from other mods. I'd really like this mod to work.
