How long do they take to change? I've been hanging zombie flesh outside on my wall, 2 spaces up from the ground. Is there some requirement I'm not meeting?
This mod is great, though I have to point out one issue that just glares me in the face. The barriers... Sure, they're great and all, but they seem entirely WAY too expensive for what they are. Two logs for what is essentially less than a fourth of a block, you needing eight entire cubic meters of logs to build one completed barricade block? Talk about a ripoff, it's cheaper just to make regular fences. Three logs = 8 fences, where as they don't even make half of a full barricade block. The crafting recipe should yield 8 barrier items, minimum, since it costs two logs.

What version of Tinker's Construct are you using? I know in some of the older versions it wasn't working. That said, if it is:

Can we see a picture of the contents of the smeltery?
I still can't see any tools in my inventory (or NEI) but they render in my hand correctly. Any ideas?

Double checking, your smeltery has molten metal in it? Are your drains inside out and do they have faucets? If you could post some screenshots of your setup it may help troubleshoot it

Do casting basins work for you? Because I'm having a similar problem. I can pour into casting basins just fine, but casting tables don't work at all. I can't create casts, nor can I use cheated-in casts to create ingots or tool parts.
There's a new dev version out now. It should fix a number of issues people are having, but structures may still need to be torn down. We're working on that; hopefully the update from the current stable to the next stable version should be smooth. I give no guarantees on how it works with development versions.
The main problem we're looking at right now is: The Smeltery sends too much data over the wire. The plan is to split up the data into smaller chunks so that it doesn't break packet size. With 1.7 rewriting the network code, we may have to rewrite how things work again, but there's no telling how far off 1.7 is.
Superstoffolous: The cutlass uses the guard in its durability calculations, unlike the other swords.
Physicist: That's an odd bug. Hmm... it's not an obvious one, and it's probably buried somewhere in vanilla code.
Rummbottom: The barricades take 4 harvests to take down. Try putting a ton of them in front of other players.

They won't be in tinkers construct for much longer they will be moved to chaotic bastion a mod he is working on in which his npcs will make them and use them.

I know I have many mods but I uninstalled Tinker's and copied the action, with no crash).
I'm no expert, but I think Optifine is to blame. It tends to have issues with many different mods lately, and the crash appears to result from Optifine's connected textures being used to render a TiCo armor cast.

Nah. I made some casts and tried to make an aluminum brass block this morning, but I haven't been able to again.
I'm getting passive health regeneration with Tinkers Construct 1.5.0d6 in Minecraft 1.6.4 even though I have the following set in the config:

Passive health regen was obsoleted by vanilla 1.6. The option was left in the config (possibly by derpcident). Enable cheats/have a mod on the server use /gamerule naturalRegeneration false
I am having an issue with the longsword's charge ability.
Sometimes my wife or I get locked into constantly generating sprint particles. I considered it a minor graphical issue during 1.5, but I have since discovered a problem (now 1.6.4_1.4.6d1): this particle effect is apparently enough to make IC2 think I'm sprinting and sprinting over plants placed in IC2's crops causes them to pop and the farmland to become un-tilled.
This is actually serious enough that I can't do anything in my garden anymore (edit: without relogging).
Edit: Relogging seems to fix it until it occurs again. Also, the sprint particles cannot be seen by the player locked into sprint mode; another player must observe it.
So I just squashed my garden again, prompting my looking at this thread again. I'm thinking it's having to do with sneak-rightclick-charging. It would seem logical that sneaking while walking over the garden would stop it, but it doesn't... I can sneak over the garden and still squash it.
Not sure if I'm unique in this, but I do a lot of longsword jumps (6 blocks vertical or maybe 10 blocks horizontally) before I tech up to Gregtech's Electric Jetpack. The agility gained from that longsword really is useful, I just wish I could stop the sprint effect when I go to my garden.

Thanks for the information. I've been looking to make my hardcore playthroughs even more difficult recently and I wanted to try playing without health regeneration, so that command will be very helpful.
Edit: Unless I'm missing something, it seems cheats cannot be enabled in hardcore mode and thus naturalRegeneration can't be disabled (even using the NEI cheat mode doesn't allow use of the command). Maybe mDiyo could add an option to force naturalRegeneration to be off through the Tinkers Construct config file?

Whoops! That's the only time you couldn't set that :P. Though you can always get an external tool to set the world to no health regen after the hardcore world is made. Or hardcore mode after health regen is disabled
might just be my crappy laptop but as soon as I get withing 20ish or so blocks of a slime island in 1.5.0d6 I get alot of lag till I fly out of range, but I can still see the shadow of the island on a map I'm holding, its not in the copy of the instance with 1.5.0d5 and the changelog for 1.5.0d6 says : - Slime islands should let light through so just taking a guess my lagtops reacting to the lighting ?
I tried erasing all of the Slime islands blocks with a excavator, replacing the liquid with dirt and TNT, and the lag vanished the moment the slime water was gone

Passive health regen was obsoleted by vanilla 1.6. The option was left in the config (possibly by derpcident). Enable cheats/have a mod on the server use /gamerule naturalRegeneration false
So I just squashed my garden again, prompting my looking at this thread again. I'm thinking it's having to do with sneak-rightclick-charging. It would seem logical that sneaking while walking over the garden would stop it, but it doesn't... I can sneak over the garden and still squash it.
Not sure if I'm unique in this, but I do a lot of longsword jumps (6 blocks vertical or maybe 10 blocks horizontally) before I tech up to Gregtech's Electric Jetpack. The agility gained from that longsword really is useful, I just wish I could stop the sprint effect when I go to my garden.
Thanks for the information. I've been looking to make my hardcore playthroughs even more difficult recently and I wanted to try playing without health regeneration, so that command will be very helpful.
Edit: Unless I'm missing something, it seems cheats cannot be enabled in hardcore mode and thus naturalRegeneration can't be disabled (even using the NEI cheat mode doesn't allow use of the command). Maybe mDiyo could add an option to force naturalRegeneration to be off through the Tinkers Construct config file?
Whoops! That's the only time you couldn't set that :P. Though you can always get an external tool to set the world to no health regen after the hardcore world is made. Or hardcore mode after health regen is disabled

I tried erasing all of the Slime islands blocks with a excavator, replacing the liquid with dirt and TNT, and the lag vanished the moment the slime water was gone
