Even if Somnia was updated, what makes it right that this thread has to be locked because it's a similar mod? Let the modder post his own mod, even if there's already something similar out there. There are no rules that go against posting similar mods or mods that have already been done before.
can someone answer me? anybody? ı'm gonna make a modded minecraft series on youtube and ı want to use this mod in it ı already downloaded 29 mods out of 30 and this mod is the 30th one so if it's compatible with 1.5.2 it means ı can make my first video next week but if it isn't ı have to wait 1 mounth and make a tekkit video instead of this

Sorry I've been kinda on hiatus. This isn't compatible with 1.5.2 but I will have an update for 1.5.2 out by tonight.
Just heard about this from a user of my own mod and it looks great!
This might is a tricky one but how about trying to implement what the old somnia mod used to do? If you haven't heard of it, it used to simulate time while you slept, so things happened, rather than just the time change. I expect they somehow increased the tick rate but I'm pretty sure it's not as easy as it sounds.
I was also going to suggest this, the world simulation in Somnia was great. It made things slightly more dangerous because mob spawning still happened and if you were randomly sleeping in a cave you had to watch your back.
Also, I haven't played MC in a while so I'm not sure if your mod does this already but allow for "infinite" sleep. By that I mean don't wake the player until they click "leave bed". This would allow them to sleep through several day / night cycles rather than simply waking them after a single cycle.
Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for this mod, definitely a nice one that I have loved playing with so far, but I have encountered a few bugs.
In my currently heavily-modded game I noticed a bug where if you slept with your hunger lower than the max limit that can be drained it would actually increase to said limit; this allows you to actually get less hungry by sleeping.
Then after adding another mod, IguanaMan's Hunger Overhaul, I noticed some compatibility issues. First when using both together I don't seem to be getting the hunger drain while sleeping. Secondly it seems to increase the severity of the bug I mentioned above. When using both mods together sleeping anytime - regardless of hunger level - causes your hunger to increase (as in get less hungry). By sleeping over and over again you can go from starving to a full hunger bar. Can't say what side of the fence these compatibility issues would be on but since I have already brought it up in the thread for Hunger Overhaul I thought I might as well bring it up here as well.
Again, thanks for the mod, I definitely enjoy it. Hopefully these few little issues can get sorted out!

I will look into adding that as a configurable option. I don't really want to add it though as I want to keep this mod simplistic. I might implement a simplified version of what Somnia did.

Read my reply to iguana_man. I like the idea of not getting kicked out of bed automatically.

I'll have to try that out for myself. I've noted the bug in the OP and I should have it fixed by the 1.6 release.

Honestly, there's no reason to sleep forever if the mod isn't going to simulate the world. The idea was so you could plant crops and sleep until they're fully grown (if you wanted to) or take a chance some skeletons will spawn and then perish at daylight so you could pick up the bones.
How complicated is it to make it so that crop growth and furnace cooking speed up after sleeping?

That would basically turn this into Somnia Mod. Sorry but that's one feature I won't be adding.
Right. Almost forgot Somnia is about simulating the world while you sleep.

The mod has finally been updated to 1.5.2! Sorry it took so long everyone. My grandma passed away two weeks ago and I've had a lot going on lately.
Back in these for'ms here, and mods have been updated, mods have been created, and mods have died. The circle of life continues.
Thanks. Things a definitely getting better now fortunately.
That's good to hear.

Somnia hasn't been updated in a year. This is also a much more simplified mod.
Don't compress the forge folder, compress the files inside.
Make sure forge loads first in the magic launcher list.
