maybe dont sound like a jerk when reporting them? hes a nice guy :/ he maintains over 10 mods
No offense to the guy I have no idea who he is but his advanced machine mod for ic2 sucks. Immibis' is but a much better version. So honestly I would rather see someone else take over the updating of MFR.
ugh, why is it that the authors of many of the best mods out there constantly get pulled away suddenly by real life and kept away for long time periods >_<

LOL perhaps because they are good programers and jobs offer them money? Or in king lemmings case get a phd? These guys are fantastic and we have to remember minecraft is just a hobby for these guys. Money is a bit more of a motivator.

You really don't watch his threads do you? he greets any bug report or question, regardless of how polite, like you just made a joke about his dead mother.
and 'maintaining' mods is exactly what he does. He "Doesn't fix what ain't broke" which means that as minecraft code drifts, his code gets more and more plagued by minor bugs caused by failing to keep up with anything OTHER than the least amount of effort to get code into the next version.
Under his maintenance, MFR drifted into near unplayability. Even his own code, such as minions, is plagued by a plethora of bugs that he refuses to address because it doesn't actually crash minecraft (Well, it does, but not on loading) it simply doesn't work anymore.
And anyone that even mentions the fact is subjected to a vicious personal attack.
Not to mention that he seems to enjoy pushing his personal politics and America-bashing at any opportunity.
So yes, he's a jerk. Coders are perfectly capable of being jerks no matter how talented they may be with code. I can think of at least 4 major modders that have purposely included suicide code and other jerky attributes into their mods, specifically to harm the playerbase. There's a reason I won't play most FTB modpacks unaltered, and won't touch a particular total conversion that may be fun, but is incompatible with forge due to primadonna personality quirks.
quick question, if you add something like a diamond upgrade to a planter, does that add to the 5x5? to make a 14x14? im assuming... also asumming you still need water and you need to constantly supply it seeds??
Planters have a base 3x3 area. A rank 1 upgrade turns that into 5x5, and so on.
The harvesters and fertilizers work the same, even though they're placed at the edge of the field rather than at its center; use the same upgrade for each and they'll cover the same area as the planter. (You could also have one harvester covering multiple planters, of course.)
I have noticed an ongoing problem on many servers of safari nets crashing/corrupting player profiles if used on them, so my question is this, can safari nets be easily edited to not affect players?

Think it's a config option.

I know the version of PowerConverters isn't "officially" released for v1.6.2, but the version that is released doesn't seem to read power from an IC2 MFSU or from a [IC2] CompactSolars solar array setup.
Is anyone else using this version of PowerConverters? If so, is your copy working with IC2 power and, if so, what version of IC2 are you using?
I'm currently using the (almost) recent port of PowerConverters to 1.6.2 by "the guy with 3 numbers" (sorry, I can't remember numbers) with IC2 experimental - newest build. I haven't tried PowerConverters yet, but I'll try (later). Disclaimer: I usually forget to do something, so...
Where can I find that build, pashikcraft? Can you provide a link?

Man, seriously? I really hope that isn't true. Dunno if that's just the rumor mill grinding away, but I hope you're okay regardless, PowerCrystals.

Maybe it might be a good idea to specify what guy and what he said.

I'll take your word for it, good sir.
How can I get builds from github without installing Eclipse?
