When was the Sword of the Zephyr added?
I was playing on 1.4.7 with 3.0.1c and couldn't find the sword in NEI. I also researched a lot of arrows for Telum but the research was unavailable.
Also, would I be able to change the version from 3.0.1c to 3.0.3 without damaging the saves?
Okay, thanks for your info, I will try to see if I can get my pack private. Otherwise, I guess bye bye thaumcraft for me
The "Private pack" option in the technic launcher makes it so your pack isn't publicly visible to others. Anybody with the Modpack URL can download it, however.
The line gets sort of fuzzy from that point on. Technically, your modpack will be publicly accessible to those with your modpack URL, so if one of your best friends loves your mod-pack and starts giving the URL to his friends, then it could become "public" without your knowledge or consent. But then, what if you password protect your mod-pack? Then it wouldn't be "publicly accessible", but you could still have the same problem if your friend distributes the password. In a way, the modpack URL is the password. So is it any less public? Or any more private?
If you aren't intentionally trying to make it publicly available, I think you are in the spirit of the law.
I'm not sure. I've been putting Thaumcraft 3 in my private Technic modpack and only giving the URL to people I trust will not redistribute it, which in my mind makes it private. I only do it because I am the only one of my friends technically skilled enough to do things like resolve item ID conflicts and stuff, and the technic platform makes a great distribution platform to get it to my friends in a user-friendly way. I assume it is not the author's intent to limit Thaumcraft Multiplayer to only those skilled enough to install modpacks by hand.
If he comes in and says what I am doing is inappropriate, I guess I'll politely acquiesce.
As for the other people who are posting public modpacks via the technic launcher that include Thaumcraft 3, and getting reputation and likes from it? That's inexcusable.
I'm absolutely loving the way Thaumcraft is going, and the creative things you can do with it. Thank you so much for expanding this mod once again!
One thing I think would fit Thaumcraft really well; Reverse gravity, and being able to walk on the ceiling (And maybe walls?)
By using a wand or something, and it drains Vis slowly while using it. It'd be amazing to be able to build on the ceiling, for example.
But what the point of building on the ceiling? And would it be any different from building from the ceiling while rightsideup? And if it is just as simply as being able to walk upsidedown on the ceiling, would there be any other purpose than for the novelty of it? And to point out, Im not saying its a bad or stupid idea, Im asking if it would have any real purpose than just because (In FTB, I have a massive Marble tower with several Arcane Levitators heading to the top, where I have my research table, while I have the rest of the lab on the bottom floor, just because. Im fine with just because.)
Actually, I can see something somewhat similar being used... an Arcane Platform. A 3x3 grid of blocks (slabs, maybe?) that travels directly underneath you to keep you at one height while building. Not flight, exactly, because I don't see it working well vertically, but stepping on anything but the middle tile could make it shift in that direction by one block. Have it require essences of dirt and air for each tile of movement. Right click with the wand to place it, left click it to make it stay in position, and right click again to dispel it.
Could be made by combining the thaumostatic harness with the shovel of the earthmover.

Bukkit does it in (semi-)vanilla. Not that that means anything for azanor, but it would be decently simple.
Though, it's still a stupid idea. Having a 3x3 grid of physical, static blocks under you is a bad idea. Maybe something like the old magic carpet. Or something.

Perhaps a carpet you can stand on when not flying it? This way you can move it as needed and have a platform for building.
in the newest version of thaumcraft if i use the thaumostatic harness things get wierd, sometimes the world get upside down or chests dissapear (i dont have optifine installed) but it does not happen to other players thats close anymore.
For the Arcane Platform, the idea is more that other people can stand on it, but you're the controlling influence. As for it being static blocks, something appropriately magical would be neat. Maybe blocks made of mobile crystals or something appropriately thaumcrafty. A crystal carpet?
I love the crystals, wish there were more physical things you could do with them. Also wish there was a way to permanently make the crystal core stay expanded, because man, that looks neat.

I have reported that bug many times, it happens when someone else is flying near you. All non-full blocks/entities blink and appear upside down, but is only visual, I even have a screenshot lost in the pages of this thread
There appears to be a bug involving Wisps and Particles where Thaumcraft has no way to allow for textures larger than 16x as the particles or goggles GUI. Any way we can get a patch that supports larger texture sizes?

I doubt this is likely to happen, as that Wisps and Particles aren't being skinned. Though it might work with the new resource pack mods.

As long as they are for the same version of minecraft (1.4.7) you should have no problems updating.
trying to be patient but gets harder every time I watch a thaumcraft 3.1 sneak peak video :'(
That's why I try not to watch any of the sneak peaks. I like suprises and I don't very much enjoy anticipation.
Thanks

How hard would that be to code?
Off in a magical land, fighting a Tainted Dragon to get us the new update. Pray for his success my friend.

Did you happen to use the carpet in Thaumcraft 2?
