Can anyone help with this fuzzy stuff on my screen when I hold the wand?

Due to my snarky and sarcastic personality I can easily be seen as a jerk. If I've offended you in any way it was likely unintended.
So after watching the interveiw vid you said that vis is gone and that in some way you wanted to bring back the pipes. I had an idea a while back that might keep vis and be able to bring back pipes.
How about some way to convert essentia into liquid vis? Vis could be an ineffencient replacement for anything that requires a certain aspect of essentia to be powered.
For example lets say an item needs fire essentia to work. It requires 1 fire essentia to do its job. You could power it with fire essentia or vis. However to produce vis it would cost more then a single fire aspect to make. It could be 8 essentia to create 1 vis. This allows things to be able to be powered by any essentia, but cost more to do so.
And what about the pipes? Well how about Eldritch tech only able to function with vis. Any Eldritch machines would have to be setup to a source of vis by using pipes.
Well thats my little suggestion. Whatever you do Azanor I'm sure it will be great as always. I look forward on seeing how 3.1 turns out.
I rather love thaumcraft, But very recently i have come across something that has put a damper on it's enjoyment.

I am of course talking about: The Nether Star.
The reason for this is as follows: To get a nether star you must first defeat the Wither, The most powerfull Boss in minecraft so far. And to even have a chance in a fight with the Wither you need to spend a bunch of effort and time preparing, Preferably enchanting all your armor and weapons with the best you can(unless you are a UB3R 1337 H4X0R oF PwN of course), collecting all that experience can be both tedious and boring, Something which tend to lower the general enjoment of the game for those that are more "casual" than others. Also, Farming for wither skulls is boring and time consuming, Time being something not everyone has a lot of to expend.
This far point into the tech tree i still feel that it is too early to use the Nether star.
tl;dr:
(No offense meant)
The useage of the nether star is not currently worth the effort
And it's kinda ""-ish to require it so early in the game.
Sorry, I couldn't think of a more fitting word at this time.
Anyways, I hope there are more that have realized this on their own as well and that its not just i who thinks this way.
There Should probably be some other way of getting something like the Nether star, Maybe an abandoned ruin or altar with something similarly powerfull contained within, Requiring you to explore to find an alternative, Or maybe a way of creating something like it.

I would love to see the conduits come back. they make things so much cooler than any of the current tc3 ways. I was thinking of a way you could have this be possible with the near infinite types of essentia. What if you can only pipe/store the main 6 or so types in tanks and such then use the preexisting essentia vials and jars to scoop them up? then you could have a :"liquid combiner" of sorts that merges the types of essentia? im not entirely sure how this would work but i see it as some sort of block (the advanced ones would probebly be multiblook structures) then all you need is some different types of essentia and away you go!.either way Azanor i cant wait to see what you come up with and cant wait to get back to my research. Love your mod it is by far the greatest magic mod out there..

While this does not address Wither skull farming, another way to defeat the wither is to use small army (10-20) of upgraded, strong golems to help you fight. I would do that in a confined space so the wither does not fly out of reach.
i feel the research needs some work. it is too stubborn. there are many possible things i can learn at a given point, some of which will use some of the same aspects, BUT the problem is the mod seems to favor a single discovery over the rest. the result is you must learn the one before getting the possibility that the papers will become something else. but then of course if you most recent discovery unlocks some more discoveries that also require those same aspects, then you're stuck possibly having to learn them before the one you want to learn as well.

cause i can't count how many times i have had multiple research papers turning out to be the exact same one i am already working on. but i can't finish it because for example, i haven't been to the nether or the end to get the materials i need to complete it. <-- the problem with the research system is here.
since i can't gather the mats to complete this particular research, my chances of learning any other recipes that also have some of the same aspects that my unfinished research shares.... it means i can't even get a new research paper to come up with something different.

I've been messing around with the wands, and it appears to only happen on that wands that have gui attacked near the bottom. For example, the apprentice wand or the wand of 9 hells.
