One of the coolest mods out there. I am going to do a showcase video about this. However, I don't know how to reach the promised land, which is important for a showcase video. Help?
You need to make an Ancient staff, and to do that you're going to need End Stone. If you have NEI or TMI installed, you can look for the recipes there. When you use it it'll say it made a portal at 'the origin of the world'. Basically, on the origin of a graph is 0, 0. With respect to the minecraft world, it would be 0 = x, 0 = z, then it's at layer 32 (or y). Best of luck.
Canyons are made of emerald blocks, volcanos are made with ender chests. What's going on? I have 100+ mods, so at first I thought it was an ID conflict. Checking emerald blocks and ender chests ID then searcing for "conflict" in the logs results in nothing.

I have a pretty cool seed that has a Mystic Grove right up against a Deadlands (which makes it look like good & evil are fighting), but I don't see any mobs in either of them. Expected that in the Deadlands, but not in the Mystic Grove.

I'm assuming you don't have any sort of custom mob spawner mod installed? I can't say I know the answer to your question with vanilla + BOP but CMS's can both screw up spawning if not configured correctly OR also be useful to change vanilla spawning to your tastes.
I know almost for certain you would see this behavior using Dr. Zhark's custom spawner in 1.5.1 because those biomes needed to be categorized for mobs to show up.

Here is the more spartan crash log. The crash is identical and throws the same null pointer exception with only the 4 mods installed. Sorry I posted such a long crash log.
Reproduce on SSP: Yes, the problem also occurs on SSP this new log is from an SSP map.
Reproduce without NEI Plugins: Yes, this crash occurs with only Code Chicken Core, NEI, IC2 and Greg Tech.
Well I played around quite a while and I can repro as well although it's consistently a different block cited in the exception than you're getting. Doubleslab IIRC vs. ColorizedLeaves.
I did find a workaround that may or may not be OK for you. I wasn't able to repro this using BOP version 0.5.2. If you can live without the updates/fixes listed on the first page in the changelog that should get you playing.
Still not sure if it's actually a code defect on the BOP side or in the GregTech NEI addon. GT's mcmod.info still shows it as being for MC 1.5.1 and I know sometimes 1.5.1 mods load in 1.5.2 but have unpredictable behavior.
TDWP_FTW or the dev team may have an idea what changed between 0.5.2 and 0.5.3 that may cause issues with a custom GUI. I'm not sure of the type or scope of changes but I suspect the improved compatibility with Thermal Expansion may have something to do with the behavior.

Sorry, I missed your response - actually I was using DrZharks' before, and it was spawning animals like crazy in the MysticGrove, which is what annoyed me - made it too easy to survive because food was everywhere. I got rid of Mo' Creatures, and now nothing is spawning in the Mystic Grove - but that appears to be the expected behavior from what I can see in the source code. (Though I'm not a Minecraft modder or even great with java, so I could have misinterpreted the code).
You ran out of memory for Java/Minecraft to use and need to increase it before you relaunch. I have no idea how to do this on a Mac but I'm sure you can find it easily with a search or if you're using a launcher like MagicLauncher, MCPatcher, MultiMC, etc. there will be a way that will be MAC/PC agnostic. If you have trouble figuring it out and are using a launcher re-post which launcher and I'm sure someone will walk you through it.

At least twice that. 512mb is alright for Vanilla, but modded Minecraft needs a bit more memory.

You can't. With either mod. It's best to start a new world. If you're playing single-player try MultiMC which will allow you to have two instances to load so you can play your old world and the new world.
Alternately you can add BOP or XBXL to your existing world but you will not see the new biomes until you explore out from where you have already. When you get to the edge of the 'known world' Minecraft will have to generate new land.
Edit: And even the new generation can be glitchy at the borders.
Hey new here.. Ive been getting a crash report whenever I run this mod. I do run it alongside other mods but it seems to me the crash only has to do with it conflicting with its self.

It seems to me the problem is with slot 0 (whatever that is) being occupied by another block

Thanks to Kazekai I fixed my problem. Deleted the config and changed the conflicting block "Moss" from 4095 to 1943 (Tip to anyone running Forestry along side this mod.) Finally I can play with this awesome mod! =)

Hmm, this is odd. Everything runs fine with no crashes and plays smoothly as well as enjoying the new scenery. The odd part is that I may have encountered a slight bug on my end that strike as being odd. So far I have had two accounts of this with one biome being completely covered with Trapped Chests on every spot of air above the ground block and another with Skeleton Heads. What would cause something like this to happen and how to fix it if possible? Could post a report if needed also have a screen shot of the Trapped Chests covered biome.

Having used extrabiomes for a long time, I can assure you this mod is vastly superior.

This mod adds more blocks than extrabiomesXL. Last time I tried it there were a ton of blocks it added which made it incompatible with a lot of mods. So I've been using extrabiomesXL. I read that the number of block IDs was reduced in 0.5.2 so I tried 0.5.3 but I get the same crash message as gleamingsword. The mod is conflicting with itself :/ always laugh when I see that message.

Curse PremiumI'm a huge fan of your mod and i'm glad to see that it's still beeing worked on.
I'm only missing one feature of the mod:
Language translations, and an option in the config file.
For example in extrabiomesXL there are several xml files included in the src.
It would be nice to see that feature in BoP.

It looks like it does disable spawning of creatures, and adds the spawning of Witches.

It seems to me the problem is with slot 0 (whatever that is) being occupied by another block

ava.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 0 is already occupied by biomesoplenty.blocks.BlockBOPMushroom@14b3950 when adding biomesoplenty.blocks.BlockBOPStairs@19fc33d
Any help would be much appreciated. (Expecially if it has something to do with my error finding, bear with me I may be wrong about slot 0)
*EDIT*
Thanks to Kazekai I fixed my problem. Deleted the config and changed the conflicting block "Moss" from 4095 to 1943 (Tip to anyone running Forestry along side this mod.) Finally I can play with this awesome mod! =)

Having used extrabiomes for a long time, I can assure you this mod is vastly superior.
This mod adds more blocks than extrabiomesXL. Last time I tried it there were a ton of blocks it added which made it incompatible with a lot of mods. So I've been using extrabiomesXL. I read that the number of block IDs was reduced in 0.5.2 so I tried 0.5.3 but I get the same crash message as gleamingsword. The mod is conflicting with itself :/ always laugh when I see that message.
