Couldn't you technically add the same biome to your mod multiple times to increase it's frequency compared to other ones? Perhaps you could do that if you want some biomes more prevalent than others.
Got some new biomes ready for the next update. Might release it tomorrow (Well, today, but later...It's 3:49 AM and I haven't slept yet), or the day after, depending on if I want to add/polish anything else.
Here's a little preview of one of the new biomes...The Redwood Forest:
Tall redwood trees with shrubs on the ground, and lots of tall grass and ferns.
jesus man, you're a machine. it is impressive how fast you are churning these out. keep up the good work. don't tire yourself out; get some sleep, man.
Non universal, non-FML, .jar based, incompatible with ExtraBiomesXL, unknown Mystcraft compatibility, but awesome biomes. That makes me a sad panda.
I'll keep an eye on this and if at some point I can run it with ExtraBiomesXL properly, and have symbols for biomes from Mystcraft, I'll be all over this. Even better if I can do as ExtraBiomesXL allows and disable these biomes in the Overworld, but still have symbols for them. Probably a pipe dream, but a man can hope.
I know there was a falling out, but I really do hope you guys are on friendly terms at this point, because both mods are awesome and I don't want players to have to choose between them.
Good luck, even if I never play with this mod I will look longingly at it every now and then.
I am having an issue to get this and CTM working together. I use CTM in my texture pack, and would be sad to see it go, am I installing things incorrectly or does CTM not work with this mod? (It could be that it's late and I am not entirely sure I am installing it properly :D)
Make new mobs like rabbits giraffes monkeys and other cool animals to go in your biomes
Perhaps asking nicely could benefit you.
Example:
Excuse me, could you please make new mobs such as Rabbits, Giraffes and monkeys, and also other cool animals to go in your biomes?
the reason nobody is answering is because nobody knows of one. replying "no" kinda just seems like a waste of time to most people, i think. you're probably going to have to find one yourself. just pillage google until you find one. i'm looking too; i'll message you if i find one.
Ok, thanks. I'll search for one too and let you know if I find one. Doubt I will though -.-
Nevermind, CTM was user error I got it working for my texture pack, and will redo some textures now I know what they are supposed to be, but I snapped some screenshots. Thank you so much for making this mod! I am having such a blast and will make some biome specific mobs for it, too =)
The main reason I registered here was to tell you how fantastic this mod is. I'm glad this mod doesn't use Forge.
Also to bug report: I know you've heard about the edge of the world issue, but I am adding that when the "edge of the world" is hit, some commands no longer work, such as /kill or /gamemode, and it's not possible to fall out of the world.
Also, biome suggestions--chaparral: Rolling hills or foothills with medium sized oaks, scrub brush, and several different wildflowers (orange poppies, blue flowers, and another kind?) High desert: Sand, dry dirt, medium sized rock outcroppings, cactus, sparse wildflowers, and short, sparsly leaved trees to mimic Joshua trees. Like the Mojave Desert.

I would use this mod, but every single time I load up a world, I'll get to exploring, and all the sudden I reach the end of the world and chunks stop loading, nothing fixes it either. Other than that I love what this mod has to offer...but that's keeping me from wanting to use it.
I just cant find a Alpha Biome though D:Make a Reef Biome great mod
I have that planned for the next update actually, which I'll be releasing in a few days.

Would it be possible if you could link my Mod Review to the OP
Thank You in advance
It's been in the OP since I saw it earlier. Also, it's just me working on the mod, so just "guy."
Make sure you install Biomes O' Plenty AFTER ModLoader. They have a conflicting class, and you have to have it use the one from my mod, not ModLoader.

yeah, it's still pretty soon in the life of this mod. but i'm sure there are a few in the works.
A few more
Sorry I posted that before reading like 6 posts up. Can't wait to see that
