Hey Neptunpink, LOVE the mod, I do have one major issue that how now made 2 world unplayable, it's the barrel's... Read something in the early posts of the mod back in 1.2.5 days and its was having this issue then, making me wonder why it has not been addressed yet... having to delete the barrels losing all the inventory is simply not a good solution...

oh yea and I have the Extra-Dimensional storage upgrade on em, so why is it saying its over the default maximum of 4096, which is 64 full stacks???
Having trouble updating to forge .436 due to factorization, the client is claiming this when trying to connect to server, exact same config files:

From what I noticed, that doesn't do any harm. Just puts the message there. You might ignore it, tbh.

But that is the problem it was doing harm as I was no longer able to load my worlds, twice i have had to revert to previous world saves in order to gain access to them again. not sure where the point is when it starts to be an issue, but the messages I posted are where my world sat, which I was no longer able to log into. i have resorted to placing 4 barrel's for the resources each for the ones that where over filling, hopefully that's enough to hold it till i get home from work.

That happened to me when I had piped over 1024 stacks saplings using RP in 1.2.5. This might be the case here as well? Just using BC or something else, apart from RP? It gives the message if a barrel has over 64 stacks of the item in a barrel, even if it has an extra dimensional upgrade, but doesn't stop the world from loading.
Looking at my log, I have that message 6 times, and the world is running fine.
0.7.7

Routers:
Item filters now work when inserting: They will limit how much goes into the inventory
The machine filter lets you access routers if you say so explicitly.
Fixed wrath lamp breaking
It's not just logipipes; the packager doesn't package after it is fed items from any Buildcraft pipe.
I should preface this by saying that I'm still using 1.4.2 and 0.6.13_310. I was initially using logistics pipes myself, but having read this I tested both Automatic Wooden Pipes (from Valve Pipes) and baseline Buildcraft Wooden Transport Pipes (powered by RS Engine) and in every case, the input slot fills but the machine never starts packaging.
Unless there's another alternative for item transport that I don't know about, given that RedPower 2 isn't out to the general public yet, it means it isn't possible to automate the packager at the moment.
buildcraft pipes can insert through the bottom of barrels.
Have to live with it for now.
Suggestions:
A larger capacity battery is needed to make the angular saw viable for mining operations.
A battery charger would be great too. So you don't need to wait for day to fully charge some batteries.
An upgrade to the heater that speeds up the attached machines.
Some more decorations that fit nicely with the wraith lamps would be very welcome.
It would be nice to change the shape and color of the clay sculptures.
Heh, I haven't really used the saw too much. Batteries won't recharge batteries, which is intended. You might be able to cheat by making a high-power generator with nothing drawing from it & a bunch of wire; the wire'll be a capacitor. Heaters already speed up furnaces. Finishing up sculptures would be nice. I guess there could be dark iron glazes...
Questions:
Lag wise, how bad would it be to use the heaters as decorations?
What do you use to do your coding and texture making?
Shouldn't be completely terrible. They are a block & TESR. I use eclipse, kolourpaint, and occasionaly GIMP, and rarely blender.
I love the ceramics. It would be nice if there was a following:
Ceramic Mold: Something where we could combine a statue with a ceramic mold and a clay block to make a copy of the statue.
Paint: the ability to use dye on different clay segments. Using Sand on a segment which is painted will remove the paint.
Rotation: The ability to rotate the statue
Removal of Base. The ability to remove the wooden slab underneath the statue with the remove tool.
Different Bases: Stone slabs? Cobblestone slabs? Other wood slabs? Sandstone slabs?
I've got to rewrite that stuff. The base would go away when fired.
LOL if anything I have MORE silver than any other ore atm... I got like 20 some odd stacks of Silver ore which means crap tons of silver and lead ingots
Mmmm. Yeah. The next version'll have a config option for silver node size, and the default'll be toned down.
My best guess as to the cause of that is that there was a chunk unloading, or something. It shouldn't be causing lag tho? Might be able to prevent it by putting chunkloaders around.
Is there a changelog for 1.4.2 to 1.4.5?
Cause I have a problem with the Thoroughness Upgrade of the Router in the 1.4.2 version (cause of feed the beast).
As it is descripted it should fill _all_ containers first in row and then the ones behind,
but for me on rare occasions it wont do it.
Is this a bug or just cause of the dimension (about 100 barrels in use with 60 additional chests.) If its not a bug, is there a work around?
There is no guarantee that the router will visit stuff in any partiuclar order. Also it will start over if the chunk gets unloaded. A picture might be a good thing.
First, thanks for the win mod. I'm in the group (if it exists) that at first look said "oh, ,awesome, barrels and pocket crafting - screw that huge amount of processing time though I'll just use macerators." And then, curiousity got the bettter of me, and I started messing with the processing line. I won't do without it for iron/ore/gold now, and in fact I think it is one of the first things I go for in a new game, even before IC2 (which still has other uses). Copper/tin I run through Thermal Expansion once i have that up, as I like maximizing my gold/iron output...
Anyway. To my bigger issue/request/point/whatever: Router with machine upgrade won't let me distribute items to other routers. I have a fairly complex setup in a test world with a furnace heater, 4 crystallizers, and 6 routers, 5 of them to distribute items through the crystallizer available slots, 1 of them to distribute to the other 5 routers...but that doesn't work. I worked around it using BC hoppers but I'm very much not a big fan of those especially in automation; is it possible to get the router able to send items to other routers? Just seems logical it should since they're the same mod and all ;).
Thanks again for the epic mod!
Routers will now distribute over other routers if you tell it to do so using a machine upgrade.
For some reason I can't get the ejector upgrade recipe to work in 0.7.4. I'm using NEI 1.4.3.2, and the recipe for the ejector won't display. I also can't craft the recipe listed on the first post. If I'm reading the recipe correctly it should be:
But I get nothing for this recipe. I also tried deleting the config and using the default configuration, but that didn't help. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Just wanted to say neptune, my friend and i have been developing a mod for a while.. like since 1.2 and we just recently implamented your mod into a couple of others with ours, since we are using the forge ore dictionary it made all the like "dirty" and the other pieces of worked metal that was in the mod, I just want to tell you what brilliant code you have here, and currently the mod is not released but we are getting close. keep up the work, very, very great mod you have here.
There is some unexpected behavior with routers and barrels.
if you have a large amount of barrels and 1 router feeding these, even though you add a through-upgrade on it, it happens to overgo 1 barrel even though it should fill it up first.
If you read this, I would appreciate it if you would answer and then I can tell you how awesome this addition is. Barrels ftw! =)
Are the barrels all in a line? Otherwise they'd probably get visited in some arbitrary order. So how awesome is addition?
Great mod!
It adds a lot of utility without to much convenience, you really have to work to get your powergrid upp and running!
One suggestion though, if i may?
Could you add more support for other mods?
Like making the furnace heaters work with steamboilers, steamengines and such?
That would make i possible to power the buildcraft side of things with all the mirrors and stuff.
I'm really liking this mod, especially the wrath igniter! Easy smooth stone houses
A suggestion about the Mixer though, can it have a separate slots for inputting the dirty gravel vs. water buckets? It's hard to use automation from other mods when they both share the same 2x2 slots, especially with multiple types of gravel being fed in.
I use a router for each material & have it go into a single slot.
There's a bug in Wrath Lamps that causes the "light-producing-air" to not be cleaned up. This seems to happen very often, and has been observed when using various tools to remove the wrath lamps, as well as when destroying them in creative mode. I used the "debugLightAir" setting to confirm this.
Hi I am using the FTB 1.4.2 beta pack and the router machine upgrade cannot see a induction furnace. Any advice or how can I tell it NOT to extract from something specific like a diamond chest.
That's caused by IC2 doing things weird. I'd have to make the TE list be generated by the server instead of client-side, and I am lazy.

Yeah, that bug/thing is still in that version. Redpower'll be released any month now.
0.7.7 appears to have fixed the forge 436 compatibility, but I'm now receiving what I believe to be some sort of debug output spam on the server console.

I've found a bug regarding buildcraft pipes: When single items fill up a barrel through pipes, the barrel itself doesn't update. Here's some screenshots:
BTW, i'm using advanced insertion pipes on the bottom of the barrels.

About the bug, it has been present for a couple of versions (since 0.7.4 I think). IIRC, it is from BC's side, and not factorization.
Is there a problem with the wrath lamp and tree growth... have a forestry tree farm and put a wrath lamp above it and the thing never popped a tree, take the lamp away and I have 3 trees instantly grow. I am having no problem with my wheat farm.

Taking a guess here: Could have something to do with saplings wanting air "blocks" adjacent to them, and that it doesnt count the "light air" as a vanilla air "blocks". (Side note, is anyone else amused by the term "light air"?)

Seconding ThatOneGuy, your lamp is probably to close to the tress (which are much taller than wheat).
@ ThatOneGuy: that was bright, light air
Are the barrels all in a line? Otherwise they'd probably get visited in some arbitrary order. So how awesome is addition?
yes they are
due to this routers have a very weak point: overflow protection
If you have 1 barrel and 1 router and the barrel is filled with cobble and you want to insert dirt
the router will get stuck
My idea was, that every item which is present in my barrel row will be stored (if not full)
at the end is an empty barrel which will update if a new item will enter the system.
I will pump out these items cause they are not registered in my system and stored in an "random"-chest
or do you have implemented the routers with a different idea? If yes, please share your idea!

I'd like to. Forge needs an API for that.
