Did you change the name of xtraslopes's config files?
I updated to 1.7.
And I find that the config I seted before failed.
And there are another config file appeared in the config folder.
No. The config files (including the extra one) are normal. It's just that v1.6 was a temporary fix, based of malivil's code. As such it did not have quite the same set up.
Updating my code for 1.4.5 caused an SMP crash at first. I really needed some slopes for a video, so I changed malivil's code (as his version was working) for that purpose and posted a link in the comments.
It had been my intention to get out an official release the next day, but life got in the way and v1.6 floated about for a week or so.
I found what caused the problem
I found that if powercraft ,forgotten nature ,secretroom are all installed.
superslopes will cause the xtraslopes crashed.

I having difficulty getting my textures to appear in minecraft. I have tried every way possible, making a texture pack, replacing the templates in the mod, but no matter what I do my textures for Xtra blocks don't appear in minecraft. I use gimp and when I open the file it shows that the template is edited but when in game its like I didn't change anything. Please help! T-T

I don't use Gimp myself, but I have tested it before.
From memory, it would not let you save the image directly back to the .zip file.
If you save the image to another folder (making sure the file has the same name and is a .png. e.g xtras.png) and then drag and drop that image into the mod .zip, your textures should work in game.
Love the mode, i use the original xtrablocks for my server and they are great.
One suggestion i would make is to have a fixed name for the config file, i have to remember to change the id's every time because you are about the only one that changes the name of the config file almost every update, very annoying.

I don't often use the config myself, so I hadn't noticed the fact that the config file take's it's name from the mod ID.
I have changed the base code so that the config file's name will remain static, release to release.
I will add this fix to all the releases in the next update.
Added in the promised 16 DIYFlammable blocks (Netherrack)
Added Hunger Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will kick in and you will loose 3 hunger bars
Added Heal Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will replenish your health.
Added Scuba Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will allow you to breath underwater for 1 minute.
Added Night vision Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will allow you to see in the dark for 30 seconds.
Added a Vine Block, works just like a regular vine. (figured why not)
Made the coal block flammable.
Not sure if anyone noticed, bit in v3.9 I made it so that if you stepped on a sugar cube you will get a potion effect speed boost,
and if you jump inside of toxic fog you receive a brief confusion effect.
Added 2 x Fountains, they consist of a base and a top. The top half could also be placed to look like a sprinkler, but the base spouts particles from above the block and requires the top half (to not look weird).
They don't actually produce any water as such, just a combination of particle effects that simulate (at least a little bit) a spraying fountain. They may not be everyone's cup of tea but I kind of like them.

when you touch it from any side i springs you up could you make it spring you in the oposite direction that you touch it (so if you walk into the side it shoves you back/if you fall on top it springs you up/if you touch the bottom it shoves you down and causes fall damage)
and could i try making a newer banner for you (im not very artsy but i can make a gif that shows individual shots of the blocks (not each one but i can do a shot of each block type)
(ps i remember this mod from way back when it was only a very small amount of extra blocks now its composed of 5 image files)
(p.p.s. would it be possible to add Mod Update Manager so we can see if you update when we are playing?)
I'm not sure if I can make the block do that or not. I will take a look next time I do some coding.
If it does work, it would have to be a separate block. I am quite partial to the bouncy slime the way it is, as if you stack them up the effect is cumulative (4 or 5 will send you well above the clouds). Great for rapid elevators!

I need the Top to face the way I place it, but the sides can be all the same. eg a table with a tablecloth hanging down on all sides, and the top is a place-setting with crockery and cutlery. The setting obviously needs to be facing the chair. Anyone got any ideas?

Leave to grind levels in Dungeon Defenders for a little bit and I come back and BAM tons of new stuff. This mod never fails to impress. :D:D
Question though. I currently have 16 varieties of wooden stairs, with the new setup am I unfortunately stuck eliminating half of them? (Was using 16 varieties of colored planks + stairs for a better variety of roofing.) Just curious.

I know that the changes to stairs may have messed things up for some user's, I do apologize for that.
I had quite a few requests for the three type's of stair but I felt that 48 was excessive. I settled on 8 of each for balance and they all get their textures from new sets of blocks.
If your not overly fussy, you could texture the 8 stone stair blocks with the wood textures (as there are 4 sets of stone blocks)
Or might I suggest a range of tin roof's, using the metal blocks/stairs.

That is fantastic! I just re-skinned a road to make my dining table, but this is fantastic! I will download this immediately, and play to my heart's content. I can see a multitude of possibilities for this block type. ...which is why I was reluctant to re-skin a precious road block, especially as I wanted to use it as a road.

PS I like how the texture sheets are named differently now. Having 4 or 5 of "terrain.png" open in Photoshop was getting a bit confusing.

Stems from their recipes. One of the drawbacks to having the option to turn off blocks, is that if a block is used in a recipe or has shared code (like fences with torches) it will cause a crash unless you disable the partnered block too.
I had changed the recipe for bouncy slime, to use the slime block in v3.9.2 (as opposed to a slimeball in 3.9.1)
Hot coals are still used in the two fog recipes.
I will change the bouncy slime recipe to the same as a slime block but with the gunpowder in the center and I will replace the hot coal block with torches for the fog recipes.
I will do a hot fix for those recipes tonight.
That should fix your problem!
I'm pretty sure that there are no other blocks left with shared properties.
Of course, DIY1 & DIY2 are used in most recipes, so they can't be disabled.
Disabling Fences or XBlocks/Bases will also cause crashes unless you disable all torches & lamps (shared code for placement).
Remove the basic XtraBlocks v1.6 mod.
XtraBlocksEE is an expanded version and as such they share dulplicate blocks and code.
They are not designed to work together.
@imalsome, I had a look at the direction thing with the bouncy slime and the results weren't great.
I can make it so the block will push you backwards, but only 1 direction. The rotation code doesn't change the push direction, I will investigate further.
well first people would have to submit there textures for that... or it will be as it has always been (one texture sheet) and with the constant changes the textures get quickly outdated
And of course the obvious - that we all use different DIY blocks for different purposes. eg I might have a block I use for a decorative capital on a column, and someone else uses the same block but textured it as a feedbag for a horse. You can't just swap textures sheets.
I don't texture a whole sheet anyway - when I need a new block/panel/fence/lamp/etc, I create one.
If you are after textures for particular things (eg hay, columns, flowers, windows) then there are threads for that. Even a google search will throw up a few results that you can copy, adapt, and use in your own texture sheet.

I don't use Gimp myself, but I have tested it before.
From memory, it would not let you save the image directly back to the .zip file.
If you save the image to another folder (making sure the file has the same name and is a .png. e.g xtras.png) and then drag and drop that image into the mod .zip, your textures should work in game.
One suggestion i would make is to have a fixed name for the config file, i have to remember to change the id's every time because you are about the only one that changes the name of the config file almost every update, very annoying.

I don't often use the config myself, so I hadn't noticed the fact that the config file take's it's name from the mod ID.
I have changed the base code so that the config file's name will remain static, release to release.
I will add this fix to all the releases in the next update.

Another update!
Added in the promised 16 DIYFlammable blocks (Netherrack)
Added Hunger Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will kick in and you will loose 3 hunger bars
Added Heal Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will replenish your health.
Added Scuba Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will allow you to breath underwater for 1 minute.
Added Night vision Block. Step on/Touch this block and a potion effect will allow you to see in the dark for 30 seconds.
Added a Vine Block, works just like a regular vine. (figured why not)
Made the coal block flammable.
Not sure if anyone noticed, bit in v3.9 I made it so that if you stepped on a sugar cube you will get a potion effect speed boost,
and if you jump inside of toxic fog you receive a brief confusion effect.
Added 2 x Fountains, they consist of a base and a top. The top half could also be placed to look like a sprinkler, but the base spouts particles from above the block and requires the top half (to not look weird).
They don't actually produce any water as such, just a combination of particle effects that simulate (at least a little bit) a spraying fountain. They may not be everyone's cup of tea but I kind of like them.
New recipes and the correct Bouncy slime recipe

I'm not sure if I can make the block do that or not. I will take a look next time I do some coding.
If it does work, it would have to be a separate block. I am quite partial to the bouncy slime the way it is, as if you stack them up the effect is cumulative (4 or 5 will send you well above the clouds). Great for rapid elevators!

This is what I was working on last night. Turns out, I have some free time this afternoon, so I might finish work on the wood set and do another release tonight.

Question though. I currently have 16 varieties of wooden stairs, with the new setup am I unfortunately stuck eliminating half of them? (Was using 16 varieties of colored planks + stairs for a better variety of roofing.) Just curious.

I know that the changes to stairs may have messed things up for some user's, I do apologize for that.
I had quite a few requests for the three type's of stair but I felt that 48 was excessive. I settled on 8 of each for balance and they all get their textures from new sets of blocks.
If your not overly fussy, you could texture the 8 stone stair blocks with the wood textures (as there are 4 sets of stone blocks)
Or might I suggest a range of tin roof's, using the metal blocks/stairs.

That is fantastic! I just re-skinned a road to make my dining table, but this is fantastic! I will download this immediately, and play to my heart's content. I can see a multitude of possibilities for this block type. ...which is why I was reluctant to re-skin a precious road block, especially as I wanted to use it as a road.

Stems from their recipes. One of the drawbacks to having the option to turn off blocks, is that if a block is used in a recipe or has shared code (like fences with torches) it will cause a crash unless you disable the partnered block too.
I had changed the recipe for bouncy slime, to use the slime block in v3.9.2 (as opposed to a slimeball in 3.9.1)
Hot coals are still used in the two fog recipes.
I will change the bouncy slime recipe to the same as a slime block but with the gunpowder in the center and I will replace the hot coal block with torches for the fog recipes.
I will do a hot fix for those recipes tonight.
That should fix your problem!
I'm pretty sure that there are no other blocks left with shared properties.
Of course, DIY1 & DIY2 are used in most recipes, so they can't be disabled.
Disabling Fences or XBlocks/Bases will also cause crashes unless you disable all torches & lamps (shared code for placement).
Remove the basic XtraBlocks v1.6 mod.
XtraBlocksEE is an expanded version and as such they share dulplicate blocks and code.
They are not designed to work together.
@imalsome, I had a look at the direction thing with the bouncy slime and the results weren't great.
I can make it so the block will push you backwards, but only 1 direction. The rotation code doesn't change the push direction, I will investigate further.
And of course the obvious - that we all use different DIY blocks for different purposes. eg I might have a block I use for a decorative capital on a column, and someone else uses the same block but textured it as a feedbag for a horse. You can't just swap textures sheets.
I don't texture a whole sheet anyway - when I need a new block/panel/fence/lamp/etc, I create one.
If you are after textures for particular things (eg hay, columns, flowers, windows) then there are threads for that. Even a google search will throw up a few results that you can copy, adapt, and use in your own texture sheet.
