Is there a reason to have a crossbow in creative mode?
A suggestion to improve the crossbow.
By right clicking with a vanilla bow you shoot an arrow, by right clicking on a mine-cart you are going to sit in the mine-cart, and on a door you open it, buttons too and maybe more.
With your crossbow you just shoot the mine-cart and door, maybe you can make it so that is does the right-click action on things and don't shoot.
Also, shooting while riding a mine-cart results most of the time in destroying the mine-cart.

Interesting thought. I'll see if I can differentiate when the player is just shooting a regular bolt, or if they're trying to push a button.
Version 6 fixes appearance of holding crossbows by re-adding the render player API dependancy. Also fixes a bug where firing a bolt in creative mode wasn't working.
You need to change your pre-requisite file to just be the API you require not all of Forge, too, as a lot of people don't actually install Forge in to their jar as they use MagicLauncher or MultiMC.
Also make it a properly formed zip without any fluff in and have the readme on your website or on this thread so people who don't actually install anything in to their jar and instead use MultiMC or MagicLauncher don't have to mess around pulling out your files.

I noticed with V7 that the Diamond Crossbow with Heavy Mechanism only shoots one bolt. Then it rapid fires, but with no bolts being fired. The Tri Shot works well, BTW.
Best crossbow mod out there, but this new version is slightly jacked. I'm not aware of any other mod author that supplied a "base/core" part of their download included with Forge to inject straight into the jar. That is crazy. People with existing worlds could easily damage all sorts of things depending on which version of Forge they are using. You've put way too much awesomeness into this mod to let it die by adding these extra complications in setup. Just create a mcdoodle-core.zip or something to go in the MOD folder along with all your other mods. Same thing "Minefactory Reloaded" or a ton of other mods do.
Just had your wonderful mod crash on me when firing the Diamond Heavy Mechanism crossbow.
Also, of note, no matter what configuration I try, I cannot craft the trishot mechanism, though through the wonders of an inv-edit mod, I've tried it, and it works well. Thanks!
EDIT: Also of note, I am NOT using the prerequisite pack - I'm using Forge and the Render Player API download separately through MagicLauncher, because, as stated above, your prereq pack is a bit whack, and can cause some issues...

You can just zip up the contents of the prerequisite pack and use it in magic launcher, or just use your own forge and RPAPI.
I agree with HanFox, all I see is some (changed?) version of Forge in the Pre-Requisite Pack, If I try to install that into my MultiMC I see that I have two forges installed, at that point I pulled back and went further with version five and live happily ever after..

As stated in my replies above you can use your forge + RPAPI and it'll work. The reason why I have it packed into one is people used to complain about two downloads in separate places, so I combined them and linked it one my site.

Thanks, I'll try to re-create the problem. Are you in SMP? Because the auto crossbows can be a little wonky in SMP.

Yeah it's strange. I can get the trishot, I MAKE the crossbow with the trishot mechanism, but I just can't make the mechanism no matter how I orient the recipe. O_o
Forge version: 6.6.0.497
By the Forge forums, that should be the latest version... I hope. O_o!

Yes, you need to install the pre-requisite pack or just install your own version of forge with the Render Player API
You can just zip up the contents of the prerequisite pack and use it in magic launcher, or just use your own forge and RPAPI.

As stated in my replies above you can use your forge + RPAPI and it'll work. The reason why I have it packed into one is people used to complain about two downloads in separate places, so I combined them and linked it one my site.
