Gammabright is a great mod. It doesn't work for me with the modded modloader file, but that's alright. I'll wait until the official 1.3.1 release. Thanks for all your hard work with the mod. Amazing!

Hmm, that's strange. Works fine for me... Well, at least it's temporary! ;o
But anyways, thanks for your feedback! I'm glad to hear it.
Edit: If you want, post the crash report and I can take a look.
It doesn't seem to work for me. Outside at night seems brighter. But caves it's like it changes it from moody to bright. No where near what your pics/videos show. Could ya help me out please :D?

Are you sure the mod is enabled? The default toggle is G (you can change it though). If it is enabled, you should see "Gammabright: 1500%" (or something similar) in the top left corner and the world should be all lit up. From what you're saying I don't think you've enabled the mod.. Remember you can adjust the brightness and reset it with the arrow keys. If you're still having no luck, you might just want to wait. It seems people are having problems with this release due to ModLoader being in a preliminary state. Once the final release of ModLoader is out for 1.3.1, all these issues should go away. That is, if it is a real problem.

You didn't install the patch that I talked about at the top of the thread. After you install ModLoader, go to this thread and search for "temporary fix". You should then see a link to the ModLoader patch. Just download it and replace the old ModLoader.class in your minecraft.jar with the patched one and you should be good to go. It's just a temporary fix since the preliminary ModLoader release is not in total working condition.
Hmm, the problem was i was using a texture pack. I switched to default now everything's really bright. xD i can't stand default though. Got any fix for this?
Both images are from exact same place. first one is with default . The second is with misa's realistic 64x64

I did some testing and I found it's a result of Misa's custom lightmap. It's an easy fix at least! Open Misa's texture pack with WinRAR or whatever you use and go inside the "environment" folder. Find the file "lightmap0.png" and delete it. That fixed it for me!
Gammabright v1.5.1 for Minecraft 1.3.2 is now available for download! Make sure to install the ModLoader fix (thanks Divisor) available in the downloads section of the Gammabright topic. Install the patch after installing ModLoader. Thanks guys! Hopefully the next update will include some new features and fixes.
I can't help to notice the lack of an update manager version, what happened there?
Don't worry, it's coming soon enough. I felt it would be best to get the standalone version out right away (since it's in the most demand), and save the update manager version for another day. I'm also cleaning up the thread as I go, so enough is enough for one day.
Edit: The Update Manager Version has been discontinued.
The only version from now on will be the standalone.
So, is there any way to make version 1.5.1 compatible with Forge?
It should be compatible. Make sure you have the latest version of Forge, there was a bug in one of the previous builds that broke quite a few mods, including Gammabright.
Alright, I'm back to say Gammabright works perfectly with 1.3.2. Again, thanks for all your hard work with this mod. I love it and it's really helped me in a tight spot.
..and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make..

You may want to add the fix to the OP.
That's great to know. I'm glad it works for multiple texture packs! I think I'll add the fix to the OP now so hopefully more people can see it.
Oh, and enjoy your first rep +1 (having 0 is no fun).
