Hello. I had some weird crash today. I was playing using my modpack and everything was okay when i logout, because o homework. Later i wanted to play again and.. I've got crash when entering my world. I deleted this mod and i was able to play again. And if anyone could help me i will be grateful. http://pastebin.com/b4JgV1ur
I need my checkpoints. They are really helpfull! Thanks for this mod
please run again with the mod. I can't reproduce the error here (though I know why it is happening). If you get the error again, great! It means it is consistent for you, and you are the perfect person to test the fix I have.
I am betting though that it you run it again with the mod it won't happen. Either way, please let me know if it does or not and I'll put together a fix. If it does happen to you all the time, we can know for sure if the fix works once i send it, otherwise I'll just have to hope
having more waypoints means it's more likely to happen (though not certain). It just means you are the perfect test subject sending you a possible fix via private message
HappyDiggers is a small Minecraft community with several different servers: Adventure, Arena PvE, Feed The Beast, Skyblock, Small World, Towny, Prison, Vanilla and Snapshot.
Sorry, took a while to get back...I've been trying to resolve the problem myself. The version is 1.5.2.
I loaded ftb unleashed and it comes up with an elephant on the map. I've removed Voxelmap, and loaded Rei's minimap and it comes up okay. But I don't want server conflicts with different map mods, so I erased the entire thing and reloaded it, and once again came up with the same problem of having a cartoon elephant covering my map. The zoom is fine, it's just the corner map I can't see anything because of the blockage.
Since removing Voxel map solved it, I wasn't sure if maybe the map they're using is an issue. So, I downloaded a fresh 1.5.2 from here, removed anything Voxel from the folder (oddly, could not find any voxel in the .jar when it's supposed to be a direct .jar load), and carefully added voxel to minecraft.jar, making sure not to mess with any ftb mods.
Strangely, doing so still made the elephant appear.
I can't understand it. Why would I be constantly getting a cartoon elephant on my map? It doesn't make sense!

A texturepack? Pretty sure it loads mob info from your texture pack.
No, I tried to get help from feed the beast, and they suggested that, too. Even with a default texture pack I get that. Plus, if I change from Voxel map mod to another map mod, like Rei's minimap, I don't get it at all....
It's just weird.
Here...I'm going to attempt to paste a pic here of what I'm talking about. Not sure if that works on this site:
Yay, it did! So, yeah...that's the elephant I'm talking about.

I would say it looks like some kind of anti-map plugin if you're on a server, maybe they don't want people to use any kind of map other than the old useless vanilla map that you can craft... But I could be totally wrong, I don't know how a server could detect that you have a map of any kind installed.
Well, I would agree maybe that's what it is, except for the fact it also works for my single player games, as well. That means it's not on the server, but on the feed the beast/Voxel packet in my system.
Plus, if it was a server protect, why would it do that for Voxel, and not Rei's? Again, I've gotten rid of Voxel in the past and placed Rei's minimap in. And that's great for single player, but I want to be able to use all the map functions that every else does, which means I'd also have to use the Voxel map mod. Otherwise, the entity radar will be useless, which kills most of the reason to use the map program.
Well, I would agree maybe that's what it is, except for the fact it also works for my single player games, as well. That means it's not on the server, but on the feed the beast/Voxel packet in my system.
have you tried to "force update" and start an absolutely brand-spanking-new-freshly-downloaded-seconds-ago instance from Mojang, and have EXACTLY 2 mods installed... Forge and Voxel Map... that's it, just those two, without using ANY additional texture-packs OR mods, just a basic Vanilla game?
not trying to sound like I think you're an idiot or nothin', I'm just trying to get a better picture of what is going on... but...
the reason I ask is when you said three posts ago "and carefully added voxel to minecraft.jar, making sure not to mess with any ftb mods." and also here... "Even with a default texture pack I get that."... a vanilla game doesn't use a "default texture pack", it's built-in to the game itself, thus implying you still have extra textures installed somewhere... to me, that reads out as "I STILL HAVE some possibly conflicting mods installed and/or still have some non-default textures added into the game, but it happens even if I use the default textures in the game without UN-installing the other ones first". that COULD mean that it is a texture-pack issue and the GAME may not actually be USING the "real" Mojang-supplied default textures... but, I think that it's more likely a conflict with one of the other mods that are STILL installed as part of the FTB Unleashed pack you say you're using.
on another subject... I'm not sure if it will actually help MamiyaOtaru diagnose anything, but as a test, have you tried to move the location of the mini map to anywhere OTHER than the upper right? if the elephant ALSO moves then that means they're connected somehow. but... if the map moves and the elephant doesn't then we'd just have to finish finding out what exactly is causing it....

man, I just had an evil thought, kinda similar to what I heard about Gregtech and the whole nerfed wood planks debacle... and I HOPE that I'm paranoid and totally wrong, but what if this was code by Rei, to disable anybody ELSE'S map but his/her own?... see what I mean, evil thought and I really hope it ain't true.

Try going into the ZansMinimap.zip file and check out the assets/minecraft/textures/icons folder. See if you can find that elephant image in there.
If you can't find it there, look through every assets folder of every mod you have. The image has to exist somewhere for Minecraft to be displaying it.
Maybe I didn't word things correctly. When I said default texture pack, that's simply what I call the Minecraft vanilla texture. I know they don't have a pack, I just didn't know what else to call it. And yeah...when I said I was carefully avoiding messing up other mods, I was referring to not wanting to screw up the rest of FTB Unleashed.
At one time when I was using it only for single player, I pumped some more stupid stuff in it. But in order to use it for a server pack, I didn't want any conflictions. So that entire thing was erased, and I started from scratch loading it up.
So, yeah...straight up Unleashed.
I certain hope Rei didn't try something so devious! o.O
I haven't considered trying to created a vanilla Minecraft using nothing but Voxel in order to check it out. But in all honesty, I don't see how that would help. After all...Minecraft is presently 1.6.4, and even has a pre-1.7.2 out. I'd be loading a different version from ftb.
So you know, I also have FTB Ultimate 1.4.7 loaded on my computer, and that gives me no elephant problems, whatsoever.
Druha....If that's the folder mods normally keep their images, then yeah...I'll look into that. Thanks. I'm no programmer, I simply know just enough to be dangerous, I guess. So pointing a path like that can certainly help. I'll do just that and see what I can find. And if I find that elephant, I'm gonna kill it! (where's my elephant gun, I'mma go hunting!)
Here's a quick question...any idea what the CustomDISkins folder is? It's an empty folder that appears in the Minecraft Unleashed. This folder does not exist in the ultimate pack, or any of the Dire Wolf packs. I've actually deleted it since the folder is empty, and when I reloaded the game it came back. Any clue??

is chat formatted differently for non-ops? You are right, the mod has no clue about who is op and who isn't. The only thing that could cause it is if the mod can parse the chat lines on clients who are ops, but not on clients who are not, so i wonder if they are delivered in a different format based on the status of the person receiving it (not that I've ever seen anything like that, but it's the only thing it could be)
I figured out that people who are using nicknames are the ones not getting chat bubbles over their heads (my server is using EssentialsChat), so the core issue is something about a player's in-game name not matching the name it shows in the chat box. In the meantime, I'll see if there's a way for the game to use the nickname as their "real" name.
I looked everywhere, and still can't find that stupid pic.
But on a good note, I found something on youtube that looks similar to the graphic problem I have! There's a dude called RevTut who purposely puts his symbol as an overlay near his minimap, but off to the left. It doesn't look like an elephant, but it basically does the same thing. If I can find out how he does what he does, maybe I can find my problem and kill it: http://www.youtube.com/user/RevTut/videos
