Alrighty, So.. I have a question. How am I supposed to install this mod..? I think I got modloader installed right.. but the question is.. how am I suppost to install the Zan's Minimap mod... I've been trying and whenever I try to play the game.. the text (which is english) on the main menu is all compressed and looks like its written by dwarves from the skyrim universe and when I switch the language to pirate speak then its alright D:
Please help me ;w;
I figured out my problem, X-ray did not want to work with it, when I turned off X-ray it worked just fine
[off-Topic]
Xray is for cheaters, sorry but I had to say this one, if you can't play legit with Minecraft either go in creative or stop playing it, I'm not saying you use xray on servers here, but most people that want xray is for cheating on servers and brag about their diamonds and such, I wish you'll get banned for this if you cheat on servers...
Your blatant display of ignorance is most astounding. You seem to have completely failed to consider the usefulness of X Ray in conjunction with a minimap for building purposes - especially useful with redstone. Of course when used off of mainstream servers.
Show me one useful reason to use xray, just one, I don't see why you would need xray for redstone here, I want to see what you're talking about because that doesn't make sense at all, xray is a cheating device only, unless it doesn't show where the ores are located, its cheating and nothing else, it could be useful for server admins to check if some players are cheating somehow but I don't see any other legit use for this, I'm quite intrigued to see what you can do that isn't cheating with Xray exactly.

nothing in there mentions any of my classes. If my mod has anything to do with it, it is likely because you are using the non-forge version with forge (don't do that). Guessing here, since the non-forge version does modify GuiIngame. That's the only thing I can see that's related to me at all, but it shouldn't be if you are using the Forge version.

One more question for you sir!
I know the minimap mod and optifine work together (as seen on the Mindcrack FTB pack), if i follow the same instructions to install optifine (when the 1.6.1 version comes out) would it interfere with the minimap?
Should I install optifine first, then the minimap, or other way around?
I know optifine isn't your mod, but i'm %90 sure you've dealt with this before
Ok, I know I'm doing this weird but it works for zenMap but I'm not seeing any chat bubbles.
First I made a new version
Renamed the files, changed the id.
Removed the Meta-Inf folder
Then added the following lines to the .jason file:
{ "name": "Mods.mamiyaotaru.chatbubbles:ChatBubbles:161" },
{ "name": "Mods.zan:zanMap:161d" },
Created the following paths and moved the files into the librariesdirectory as follows:
.minecraft\libraries\Mods\zan\zanMap\161d\zanMap-161d.jar
.minecraft\libraries\Mods\mamiyaotaru\chatbubbles\ChatBubbles\161\ChatBubbles-161.jar
Yes I renamed the files to jars and put a dash before the version number (It has to be that way for the launcher to load them)
zanMap works fine. ChatBubbles seems to do nothing. Does it use a hook to initialize or something?
I've tried it in SSP and see nothing and also tried it on a server that uses the chat format "[L][Hero]payten100: Hi"
Still nothing.
Any Ideas? And no using Forge is not an option. Can't get on the server with it installed.
never had a problem connecting to a vanilla server with a forge client :-/
Vanilla no problem. This is a bukit server (at least I think it is bukit) for skyblock that I am having issues with. Found a post on forges website that basically stated that it not their problem. I will have to try modloader.
Tried it and ChatBubbles is now loading but I am not seeing a chat bubble above my head in SSP.
Should I see one?
Well I finally had to go back and double check everything I could, and I found out a couple if interesting things. I was using a version that only had ModLoader and chatbubbles installed.
Modloader loads the mod from the <gameDIR>version\<VERSION>\mods file which is incorrect. I will be posting on their thread to inform them. It should only load from .minecraft\version\<VERSION>\mods. I know not your problem but just a FYI for when other users have problems.
Some things I found which you may want to fix is:
1 There is no chatbubbles directory created in the <gameDIR>/mods folder so the customRegexes.txt file could not be created and an error is produced. Once I created the directory it seems to work without any problems.
2 I could not create a line in it for 127.0.0.1 and have it work, it used the default rules no mater what I tried, at least that is what the following leads me to believe
Client> <dannyrjohnston> Test
Client> check 1 A
Client> check 1 B
Client> check 1 C
Client> check 1 D
Client> check 1 F
3 I never saw a chatbubble for my own player in SSP I don't know if this is on purpose or not.
4 The output from the mod produces a lot of extra data in the logfile. A way of controlling the debug level this would be nice.
A couple of questions:
1 Does the color codes like "§f" get passed to the regexp or do you strip it out first? If you don't maybe you should unless the text in the bubbles is colored.
2 Can the regexp have spaces in them, escaped or otherwise?
Please help me ;w;

in the readme text on the non mod loader version it's a bit.. vague on what to copy over,
The zip file has 5 files in total:
Maybe clean up the readme to just say copy all these files except the readme.txt into your jar file? That's what worked for me
Thanks for the awesome mod!
That's step one of installing any mod in the jar
im gay

Going online and see if I see a difference.
