IANAP, but the version numbers in your log report look in order at first glance, so I honestly am drawing a blank as to what the issue may be. I'm not running WIndows either, but doubt that is the issue here.
It is possible the installer failed to update your JVM argument in the profile created, in which case I might ask you to list what the JVM argument in your profile reads as.
In any event, via a process of elimination, we may be able to figure out the exact cause of your installation issue.
Another thing... It doesn't make sense to me how large takes more fall damage and small less. Think about this: If you're giant, climbing onto, say, a table would be just a very small step. It might be only the height of your foot, so obviously jumping off won't hurt. But if you're tiny, it'd be like falling off of a cliff.
Some other ideas:
When at the smallest size, you can only climb/jump onto slabs and stairs
When at the smallest size, you can use (grappling hook? climbing equipment of some kind) to climb onto blocks
When at the smallest size, you can stand on still water for a second or two before sinking
When at the largest size, mining/punching/left clicking takes out a 3x3x3 area
Something perhaps that adds functionality with Little Blocks/Redpower microblocks and/or Clay Soldiers?
Well when u are big u take more fall damage because well... your big and u take more impact and when your small u take less fall damage because Your lighter
Well speak up, may boy. How, pray tell, can one go about doing that, and maybe it can be something useful for us?
[well... specifically Mion] ^^
Some Forge mods that don't have any baseclass edits (or coremod code injections) may work on multiple versions of Forge, sometimes even multiple minor Minecraft versions. Or at least until they start using newer Forge methods/fields that didn't exist in those earlier versions, meaning they crash when run on them, at which point they aren't multi-version compatible anymore.
Anyway, Gulliver makes base class changes, so it's very version-dependent; even Gulliver Forged is tied to particular Forge builds. That would still be the case even if alllllllll the Forged base edits were done "properly" with coremod stuff, so I'd never bother suggesting that a particular version of Gulliver would work on multiple versions of Minecraft.

Ah, so I was still right... from a certain point of view. ^^
Its always amazing how many new things I learn just by sticking around here.
Oh, well that sounds suspiciously like some areas of my server. Granted floating islands are a bit overrated (too easy to spot and siege), so there aren't too many of them. >v>
Well yes, but the islands should have plenty of stuff to make whatever you want, and be very, very big and very, very high.
The giant players will have a bit of a hard time reaching giant floating islands, since it'll take a lot of time to dig under, the mos logical way to go up will be over the edge, but a single-well placed arrow can make them fall off, and if a giant player falls off, they tend to die....
It'll be easy to spot, and easy to siege, sure, But I'm thinking of lots of them, all clustered together and designed so tiny players can easily get around via fishing rod or paper. So you could siege a single island, but the tinies can easily run away to other islands. If a giant player get's to the top, granted, there would be lots of death and destruction before the giant is killed or pushed off, but I think if the islands are high enough, big enough so they can't be easily destroyed, and close enough so giants can't get up between the islands that easily or fast, it'll be doable. Besides, the tines don't need a lot of gear or big homes, so they'll use less resources, meaning if you make the islands big enough and put some resources, they won't ever have to go down; all they'll need is up on the islands.
On the other hand, giant's will want to get on top(probably) because the land below will be dark and shadowed due to the floating islands. so the giant's will try to gather resources and climb up, and the tinies will try to stop them

Ha. If my land's in shadows because the sun's blocked by a flock of stupid floating islands, my top priority would be getting rid of enough of them to let through enough light to raise crops/food animals on the ground below. You do realize that huge players can punch blocks to break them more quickly, multiple blocks at a time? And that includes Stone, although punching won't give you Cobblestone drops. Even Obsidian can be overcome given enough time.
Also, knocking off a giant with "a single well-placed arrow"? From a tiny archer? Maybe if their bow had knockback x10....
No, I'd say Jack and the Beanstalk had the right idea - put the Giants up on 1 semi-big island in the sky with limited resources. Even with sunlight, they'll still need to be careful managing things, and falling to the land below would be deadly. (Sort of a Giant Skyblock without the lava bucket.)
Still, if you wanted to make a server to test those kinds of worlds, I know I'd be curious how things actually turn out

Ok, maybe not a singe, one, but what if a bunch of tinies were throwing enough snowballs to make a blizzard? I know they can break stuff fast, I did play size x8 a few times, but I if the islands are really high up, then it'll take some time for them to get up, and I really don't know how to make a server, so I tested with giant zombies and tiny skeletons. a good hit can bother you a lot, and because the blocks are smaller for you, it's actually pretty hard to pillar up with people shooting the living hell out of you. and the constant hits will make you fall off sooner or later. also, if you wait for them to show their heads, then use the sprint attack knockback bonus, you'll knock them off. and the thing with pillaring, is that once you fall off, you need a new pillar.
and if all else fails, there's always the option of dropping tnt on them. If that won't drop them, I dunno what will.
I guess having giants in the sky trying to go down can work too but if there is even one block of water, they can all jump down, really quite easily. So they cant have water at all, or the water cannot reach the ground(I guess a plugin or a command block can do that...) And also, giants would use lots of resources, and if they want ti mine for ores in the island, they'll end up hollowing the entire thing out, unless its freaking huge.
Or we can have a reverse thing where the sky is covered by a giant island, filled with resources, ores, and everything you can think of.
The ground is an empty, desolated place, with no animals, little grass, and what was trees are now little more than logs scattered across. On the island lives giants, and on the ground, tinies. The tinies will have a better time surviving the ground, because the mobs won't attack them. They just have to watch out for the occasional spider. The tinies want to go above the island, but are blocked by 2 facts. The island is high, high above ground, and there is limited resources they can get below. And above the island, are giants, who are not friendly. So the tinies have to get on the island, and chase out the giants. The giants are superior in every way, so the tinies will have to use advanced planning to take over the island.
Oh and a shorter, mini-game like idea
A castle, with 3 walls, each very tall, very thick, and heavily reinforced with obsidian.
In the innermost wall, there is a building, made of obsidian, stone, and iron blocks., and in there is a diamond block(called the Gem).
Each wall has an assortment of tnt cannons. potion shooters, firecharge launchers, and arrow machines that spit 30 arrows per second. each wall is connected by an assortment of railways, and between each wall, are bunkers, traps, more cannons and 'mounted guns'
The 'humans'(normal sized players) respawn 15 seconds after death at the Gem 'giants'(size 8) respawn instantly outside the walls after death. The humans have to protect the Gem for 5 minuets. The Giants have to destroy the gem.
Giants cannot use equipment, but all humans are in full iron gear, and have various items to help them set up traps, cannons, and 'mounted guns' anywhere they like, in case the traps and defenses are not where they wan't them, and can set up barricades (really big wood&stone structures with ladders on the back)
The giants have the advantage in the fact that they are faster, stronger, and revives instantly.
The humans have the disadvantage in the fact that it takes 15 seconds for them to revive, and it also takes time for them to navigate and go the the giants to fight.
But the giants have to break the walls, have an array of traps and mechanisms that attack them, and also have to break or jump over each and every obstical. But the humans have potions, places to hide, traps, bows&arrows, machines, and can block gaps and breaches(albeit temporarily)
But what all these things really mean is I need to learn how to set up a server, or I need to find a server that would like to test my ideas.
Teeeheeheem... wow, you have no faith in 8x'ers, dontcha?
In the scenario you describe, you have multiple islands stringed together, hence multiple places to defend. Assuming you even have enough tiny players online at any given time and they're willing to get organized like clockwork (BWHAAHHAA, good luck with that ), you would still need many in one spot to concentrate enough firepower to create said blizzard or hail of arrows.
Assuming there are enough 8x'ers on the server at any given time, they can simply out-Sun Tzu the Tinies and climb up from various directions. One or two giants serve as a diversionary force, while a couple of others attempt to climb up onto the island to establish a beachhead.
Or they can build a braced nerd pole, designed with three support nerd poles built by sacrificial friends, followed by a central nerd pole that would protect the climber from any knockbacks.
Or if they want to be fancy, they can take the time to build a nerdpole staircase, since Giants can step over 4-block gaps, and up 4-block elevations. Placed in sets of 2 or 3 nerd poles per set, and you have a nice secure stairway to heaven from which to simply waltz into the Tinies' island as if they owned the place.
Either way, the Tinies are not safe from being overrun up there. Take it from someone who's been at war with 8X'ers for a long time (albeit as a 2X'er), and knows all the brute force and cheap tactics they have up their sleeve.
As for the server idea, I doubt I would be able to volunteer mine since it really sounds like you would need Creative for that, and everyone might be too busy with their own creations or games to divert attention to this one (unless you market it well enough). At least we do have PvP enabled, though, so maybe you might be interested in giving it a shot?

i was on a linnex ubuntu computor. i didn't even load up a world it just crashed plz fix it. i watched good videos about it on youtube i like the mod. mixed emotions
*Sings* This is why, one should follow directions, like Don't put Gulliver into your "mods" folder~ You really ought to give Cia's Guide a tryyyy~
No I do not. I tried being size x8. while powerful, they need to eat a lot, and they take too long to gather resources.
While they can kill hundreds easily, they also don't last long against constant attacks, and enough hits do bring them down after a while. I doubt that x8 players will be able to gather enough resources to pillar up that fast, especially if it's constantly dark and mobs spawn 24/7 and defiantly not enough resources for multiple pillar stairs and even if they do, destroying the pillars, or adding more blocks so they can't use it can take down a pillar easily.
But after some thought. I relised that tinies in the sky and giants on the bottom might not be the best idea, and it can only end in one way, and sooner or later, the giants will win.
So I put up the giants on top, tinies on bottom idea as well. That way, the giants are defending, and tinies are invading and having one giant island instead of lots of tiny ones. the tinies should be able to move around a big island unseen by giants easily(Ever tried to spot a size 0.125 while size 8? really not easy). But they'll also die a lot more easily, so that could be better than the giants invading tinies idea.
I might want to give it a go, but even with creative, ti'll take a long time to make, so I'm thinking of making it with mcedit. I'll probably make it, test it, refine it, and test it, and refine it some more before I think about getting it on servers. (oh, btw, what's your server? I've been looking for a gulliver server, but no luck so far)
Or I could make a server myself... If I knew how to make one. It took me ages to figure out the mod thing, and that was with tutorials, so I might be able to find out how to make a server for a while.
Oh and while playing,
I noted some things on the riding thing I feel could be refined.
Horses can only be tamed if they are size 1, and you are size 1 as well. otherwise, they ignore you.
Wolves can be ridden and controlled by size 0.5~2(only tested up till size 2)
You can control wolves 2x your size (so if your 0.5, you can control wolves size 1)
But smaller than size 0.5, and you can't control wolves, no matter how small the wolf is.
I think this is a bit odd. Tiny players need more help then big ones. they die faster, dig slower, move slower, eat slower, etc.
In my view, it's the tiny players that need more help, and I think being able to ride and control animals would help out tinies a lot.
Speaking of which, I think tiny players should be able to ride and control bats. It'd be cool, and useful for the tinies.
i run on windows 8.1, Java 7u45
running via GulliverForge, i installed forge first, then the Gulliver mod (using the automated installer)

Just for validation purposes, can you skim through my unofficial installation guide and confirm you went through similar steps when installing Gulliver Forge on your machine?

IANAP, but the version numbers in your log report look in order at first glance, so I honestly am drawing a blank as to what the issue may be. I'm not running WIndows either, but doubt that is the issue here.
It is possible the installer failed to update your JVM argument in the profile created, in which case I might ask you to list what the JVM argument in your profile reads as.
In any event, via a process of elimination, we may be able to figure out the exact cause of your installation issue.

Looks like you missing the fml.ignoredescrepencies = 1 flag I'm to lazy to verify the spelling here
Some Forge mods that don't have any baseclass edits (or coremod code injections) may work on multiple versions of Forge, sometimes even multiple minor Minecraft versions.

This is why, one should follow directions, like
Don't put Gulliver into your "mods" folder~
You really ought to give Cia's Guide a tryyyy~
Cause of you, my guide doth entice!
Now I will make some drink on ice!

A peach-pie slice would quite suffice
You know what I mean, soul sister?
