Question: do mobs and items bounce on the green ice?
A few ideas since you asked:
Ice that doesn't support anything, so entities fall through it, but something that mobs won't avoid falling down.
Redstone infused ice that acts as a mob/player sensor and lights up/sends a pulse/something else.
Or a non-redstone one that melts once a player/mob walks within a certain distance of it or if it is placed by heat. (I think it would be a neat effect to see, but possibly annoying)
Ice that gives you a very short special ability.
Ice that you can bring into the nether/spawns in the nether and melt.
Ice that slowly heals you even if you're hungry if there is enough of it around.
Something-to-do-with-avalanches ice. (Ice tnt?)
I don't care so much for 2 and 4. The others I'll put in order of the ones I prefer: 5, 1, 7, 3, and 6

um...I think there's something wrong with the green ice....every time I jump and fall on it,I got damaged and died.....
You should add slabs and stairs maybe? it would be awesome to have hyperspeed stairs to a different floor, or a slab trampoline.
Also i made new textures for the blue and green glacier ice. I think they're good, i tested it and it worked.

oh and by the way its 64x. If you like it i can change the size, maybe even from 16x -> 128x !

Awesome! Just what I've been looking for. But, I don't know if it's a bug or not, but sometimes the green ice bounces me up only about 80 blocks, and other times it bounces me up over 250 blocks. Is this a bug?

Great! Well, it depends on how you look at it! There's nothing in the code that I can really do to fix it, but then again, it adds an element of excitement? IDK, you could look on it as a bug, but I don't really know why it happened or how to fix it. So have fun! Oh, and next update will allow you to customize the IDs of the ice (and biome) to reduce incompatibilities with other mods.

Okay thanks! Also, I just thought I'd add that it would be really neat if the sides and bottom of the green ice were bouncy too! But certainly not a necessity. It would make for a very interesting game of Minecraft pinball, though! (Have the floor be blue ice, and the sides be green ice. =P )Although, you would have to be very careful if the bottoms of the green ice were bouncy... it could mean instant death in many cases. So perhaps just the sides.

Glacier Biome: Simply high cliffs of blue ice (don't fall off!). Has a unique 'plant', the ice stalactite and stalagmite. A stalactite will gradually drop 'ice water' blocks that upon contact with the ground, will build up a 2-4 block high ice stalagmite, and if they are close enough, will form Ice pillars of blue ice. Pick axes with silk touch can harvest these stalactites/stalagmites for placement in your ice cave lair.
No falling damage from normal ground after bouncing off green ice: This is for those who want a launchpad from their floating fortress. Have a runway of blue ice with green ice at the end and go flying out towards your next adventure with no damage when you hit the ground! A parachute mod could probably do this, but some integration would be convenient.
Mobs killed on ice don't fall over, turn blue/green and freeze in place. Striking them again in this state shatters them. Have a garden of your fallen foes!
