Using up a key to modify options is a step backwards, try adding in a few mods that add functions that use keybinds and you run out very quickly. I think GUIApi is a great mod myself and the hook was already there. I can't understand why you would ditch it.
Anything that doesn't need to be accessed frequently shouldn't be wasting a keybind.
Also the config file not being read is a dealbreaker.
Still, I am glad to see someone picked up this mod and I will keep an eye on it.
Just letting you know, in case you were not aware; I found the config file for the coral mod did not accept changing the block id's. Meaning, I changed them, but they were not read. Instead it used the default values.
I look forward to when this gets fixed and am really glad someone picked up this mod and decided to continue with it.
Lady E
I also have experienced this same bug. Block id changes in config are not working.
BTW, is there any alternative textures for the Coral Reef mod that uses a higher resolution? I'm now using Misa's 64-by-64 texture pack as my main texture pack. 32-by-32 textures would do.
Never mind. I didn't see the "Hi-resolution textures for Coral Reef" part in the OP. LOL.
Hey, mod maker. Please dont copy mods. Nanodalt owns this mod and you stole his textures.
Nandonalt abandoned the mod, and q3hardcore even said that if Nandonalt requests it, he will take it down. Nandonalt hasn't shown up to say anything. You try talking to him and see if he even cares anymore. >=(

Thank you very much for updating this mod.
Edit: I see the settings file still exists (it became "settings.txt" and sits in the .minecraft/mods/coralreef folder) but the changes I made in there don't take either. Please fix...

The reason I stopped using GuiAPI is because it wasn't updated frequently enough.
It also increased the chances of incompatibilities.
I like mods that add to asthetics of the game like this does. Maybe you could add kelp or starfish or a sea anemone or some kind of mob that would live in the ocean.Any way thanks for updating this cool mod.
Heyy, this is a cool mod!
i like the mods of nandonalt, sadly they are abandoned
but could u maybe get the Tree Mod from nandonalt?
i miss the palm tree's and giant sequoias etc ;D
I've been working on the More Trees mod for a while.
I'm waiting until the next version of Minecraft is out until I release it.

Is there a way to move live coral around--grab coral blocks and plant it in a "tank"?
If not, could that be added? (I'm trying to make it pretty outside the submerged portion of my base =)

espically the new feature of just using the "C" key instead of using GUI API to edit the settings

Or some sort of sprite extender?

I tried messaging Nandonalt, but he didn't reply.
I'll see if I can fix changing the ID's.

I miss XCommands...
I'm working on updating the Scuba Diving mod,
I'll release it seperately to Coral Reef.
I recently started work on updating Scuba Diving.

Hmmm... check out this mod: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/533512-125-tropicraft-v30yes-its-finally-here/
It has starfish.
If you want me to do a mod with ocean animals, I'll do that seperate to Coral Reef.
I've got the mod working on Vanilla SMP with ModLoaderMP.
I'm working on a forge version.
I miss XCommands...
That would be awesome if you could do something like that.Add ocean anilmals.
Not sure if you know this, but there is another tree mod out there. It is called Trees++, and all in all I think it is a much nicer mod than "more trees" if you want to take a look the link http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1028159-125trees-v1335-forgesmpbukkit36-trees7-biomes/

i miss the chocolate n banana cake and the pies too...
Hope you enjoy
Great video. Really want this mod, but don't know how to install ModLoader.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
Irony in the first degree.
