Thanks it worked. Downside is, everything appears too large. Another question I have is how to lower the file size of the MP4 video output. My 10-second vid consumes 59Mb of disk space. Idk much about video compression and all
cant do much about the size because it is raw video. after you work it and convert it to something smaller.
So I installed it today and put ffmpeg in my bin folder (and I enabled execution with Terminal). However, while it does run the video doesn't record properly. Not sure if it's a software issue from my OS or from Minecraft possibly due to other mods.
Ok, so it works quite well. Pretty much seems to take a snapshot per frame, which was kind of what I was expecting, a bit like stop-motion.
Except now I have a folder full of pictures. Do you know of anyway to compress these down into a video or to record it all as a video file in the first place?
start first with reading the openings post very well it is all explained. oh and dont forget to click the link to the decoder.

I'm running OSX 10.9. I wouldn't think it to be an issue with the OS but likely within the ffmpeg (I did download the correct one for Intel chipsets)
Any ideas?
no idea! you are on mac right? i have no idea how it works on mac but try uninstalling all mods and then add one by one each mod and see if it reoccurs

I'm going to try that later today. I had a similar issue back when Mods didn't rely on Forge. If I find out which I'll post it up so people can resolve similar issues
However, I'm guessing that since it did record video that ffmpeg is working. The flickering minimap may be a clear indication of it interfering

i can assure you it is not rei's minimap it is normal that it flickers with the minema mod installed. (atleast so far for each version i had it did that)

Hmm. Then it's either the FinderCompass or Galacticraft. Maybe I'll make another profile with Forge just for recording and have it exclude this for testing. Thanks for that info!
I also have a question regarding the second one. The video encoded by .264.exe cannot play and be edited in Premiere Pro... I don't know why. May be the problem is in ".264.exe" ? I'm not certain. Can anyone help me?

I also can't play the recorded video. with .264.exe does anyone know the solution? (did note that in the intro video the user was using "Prism" video converting software.)

Yeah guys, I had this problem too. I fixed it by video converting all the video files to an mp4 file using just the h.264. Theres no quality loss and it works, it's just a bit of a hassle
No adobe programs can open the files it saves, Windows movie player cannot read the files either. I've tried opening with VLC and it works. Are there any ways to convert the recordings so that they work.
