also a suggestion as this mod appears to be designed to be played with no aggressive mobs around your world imo (as in real world you'll hardly find living skeleton zombies or 2 meters wide spiders) I strongly suggest to make a custom difficulty mode that allows you to play with no vanilla mobs but with hunger dropping down and no healing over time... sort of normal mode without mobs... or does a mod that already does it exist? (once I found one but is not yet updated)
I can appritiate that prospecting is not supposed to be precise. You are correct, it is most certainly not a divining rod. What I cant see, is why the effect appears to be 100% useless for actual finding of ores. Oh look, I finally found a huge sample of <tin> Sadly, I still cant find it after 15 minutes of digging and wearing out around 30 stone tools. And better yet, I don't even expect to be able to mine it even if I find it....
Just a few months really. It's just out of Alpha so bugs and incomplete features are to be expected. What's great is the dialog we have with the mod author though and the changes you see happening almost daily. It's definitely not complete at all, more of a preview of things to come. If you want stable, you'll want to try other mods for now.
Does ANYONE know how to make this compatible with FLan's mod? I really want to use this one, but my content packs for flans over rule paying minecraft with this mod. It would be like Bioxxx stopped playing this so he could try a different mod, only on a much larger scale in his case.
i am playing this mod for a while but what can i do what all the gems? i have loads of jade and jasper and such things but i don't know what to do whit it
I looked through the TMI menu, and there is nothing i can see that uses gems.
Again does anyone even KNOW what java.lang.ClassNotFound.ISpawnable Is Caused by when i have Flan's mod??? Wat the h3ll IS ISpawnable?
Does ANYONE know how to make this compatible with FLan's mod?
Haven't really paid attention to and flan mod posts, but what's not working for you? Loading Forge after ModLoaderMP sometimes work, but depending on how they use the classes it might not.
This mod doesn't really work with itself much less other mods yet. All the other mods will require items that simply don't exist in an TFC world anymore (like normal Cobblestone or Glass for example) so making items in them will be difficult or impossible.

I upvote this, is pretty hard and annoying you get ninja arrow´d or ninja creepie´d while you're cooking in the firepit with no weapons to defend yourself... unless the yummy meat smell attracts those starved skeletons and creepers...
For whatever reason, I installed this mod, and I cannot break any trees. Is it possible that I glossed over some documentation on this feature?
You can´t karate chop trees, that is impossible do that in real life (and bioxx is searching a lot of realism for this mod)
You need a flint tool a flint+ stick
Since when was this mod created? Seems to be VERY buggy but has a good touch at making minecraft more difficult cant complain about that...
Anyways when i create a 2x copper ingot and then try to heat it up to white and then put it in my inventory i completely disapears into thin air.
I suggest you update the mod with at the most part bugfixing?
Read the thread name, if you wanna a stable version, wait for a non-beta release now bioxx are working in some plants and stuff, this gonna be great.

Nothing yet. Bioxx said he will be disabling them in an upcoming patch until he finishes their intended use.
Future plans are that they be used in an enchantment type system.

Well, then i'd need to let this mod go. I cant play this if it doesnt allow me to play the things i make.As for siftng in a desert, make it so you need to use a Soil Sifting Table, such as those used for archeological perposes.
Seems this will be a really cool mod one day, but I've given up on trying it out until a more stable build is released. Hit Login and then see black screen - no crash, no error log, nada - like falling off the planet, minus the stars...
Before anyone asks:
1. Fresh & clean install in the default location, i.e. no mods or anything
2. Modloader and Forge in the jar (tried Forge 3.0.1 and the newer build 90)
3. Yes, META-Inf deleted
4. Core & Textures in the jar
5. Game and Guava in mods
6. Java version 1.6.0_31
7. Fail!
I've installed hundreds of mods and mod combinations and as near as I can remember never had anything happen like this with on a base (and fresh) install; usually only get this level of response for some major mod/block conflicts.
I have found a bug, a big one. Whenever I place the wood piles down my game crashes with "saving chunks".
I have re-downloaded and I HAVE downloaded everything correctly. I have downloaded tons of mods and this one still gives me trouble.
I did start with a clean minecraft without any mods each time.
Enter that and you'll score one hundred thousand rupees for us both, along with a spiffy card!
Yes. Craft one flint above a stick, break your first tree with that.
Also, one gold nugget apparently weighs 4.5kg
Ahh, yeah just tested that and yup, if you place a vertical support in the same block as another it'll replace it and you lose the original.
Also, this was the seed for my test world, worst start ever: -6572424706182598214
I ate one of my two rose gold ingots this way
EDIT: Also, my stone hammers are not breaking when their durability reaches 0

Anyone else found any, where was it

Try Java 7 maybe instead?

There is an option that you can turn on to enable vanilla conversion recipes if you need compatibility.
As to supposed stability issues, there are 0 crash issues, I can't say why it fails to launch for some folks without a crash report.
