bug: installing CodeChickenLoader, alongside modloader, modloaderMP and MCForge. the game freezes before the "mojang" screen appears, stuck at "updating: done loading" even though I'm already running 1.1.
Where are you putting CodeChickenCore?
It DOES NOT belong in the JAR. Needs to be in MOD Folder.

Not sure what's wrong. I used this with 1.0 and it worked amazing. Finally upgraded to 1.1 today, I put on the modloader (modloader mp is not version 1.1 yet but only 1.0 but I do NOT play multiplayer at all - I do not go into servers for anything. I'm a solo player). I have NO other mods on (just for clarity). I download the chicken core, open it up and drop the two items - codechicken folder and packager.class - into the mods folder. I then open NEI and highlight them all and drop them into the jar. I then start the game and it flashes loading chunks and crashes.

Well, I can't figure out if this problem is for Chicken_Bones or SpaceToad...
When I attempt to open the interface for the Assembly Table in BC 3.1.2 (yeah, I know, its ALPHA), the game does it's 'Saving Chunks' routine.

@Searge_DP (MCP Team), cpw11 (FML creator), LexManos (FORGE Team), thanks for making the tools that allow the modders to make the mods! And to chicken_bones for NEI so I can figure it all out..

MLMP is indeed 1.1, the tag just wasn't updated properly. And it requires MLMP whether you ever set foot on a server or not.
Ah thanks a ton! The site i usually use is not up to date. they say it/s 1.1 but it's not. :/
Ok, got that on. Let me reinstall as I had before and hopefully it will work.
Edit to add thanks to Sotmead above as well. I thumbs upped both of you. Ok, hopefully this will work.
Edit to cry. Still not working.
I don't get what the issue is.
Again edit: says I'm running modloader mp 1.0 yet I put it on from that site you linked. I think all are messed up. That's got to be the issue. Let me redownload /again/ lol.

I understand you deal with a lot of people who probably have the same problems or similar problems over and over again. I too run a pretty giant forum where we get a lot of the same stuff or similar stuff, but please, try to reply with a little more tact and kindness. In my case, I honestly thought you meant the tag on the websites were not updated properly. I didn't realize you meant that the actual file which comes off of the error report. Okay, do NOT put the codechicken Core Client IN your mods folder, people. Put it in your bin. It works perfectly now. Mods folder is a no no. Kinda figured something was up with that class out of place. :smile.gif:
glad it's fixed. Maybe make a note of that as some on this discussion say to put it in the mods folder. NO. Do not do that, people. Put it in your bin>minecraft>open with winRAR.

It workes fine in the mod folder, the problem was you where extracting the zip into the mods foler, you DO NOT do this, you just paste the zip in there unextracted :smile.gif:
Yeah, I deal with the same kind of people quite a lot...
You want tact? Be different.
But I am different.
I'm me. :cool.gif:
Seriously though, thanks for the help and advice you did give. I do appreciate the time and such which you and the others spent trying to help me figure out this madness which really shouldn't have been madness.

Gotcha!
I knew I had to do that for texture files but wasn't sure about that particular file.
Thanks a ton! If I have other issues with other mods in the future, I'll give that a go as well. Definitely will add it to my 'checklist of things tried' group. I try to troubleshoot by myself before coming here which is why I don't have a lot of posts. I spend my times modding games like Fallout 3, Fallout new vegas, Skyrim, Oblivion - huge mods which take you all over the place to put things here, there, everywhere. Different games do things different ways and it's all a learning platform for the first few mods, then it all clicks into place.
You guys n gals have been awesome help. :smile.gif:
The TMI Uninstaller for 1.0 destroys my 1.1 jar everytime... (blackscreen).
Could you please update the uninstaller, so I can install NEI? Otherwise I'd have to reconstruct my whole minecraft.jar, which would be really hard.
This could take a bit of time and patience, but try redownloading tmi, see the files within and manually delete them. Sometimes however you'll find files which are named one thing in the mod and something totally different in the bin. I've ran into that a few times but hopefully this can be done down the list with no issues. Everything you need from tmi is in the download and in the bin if I recall correctly. I've removed mods like this before - as long as they're not over writing another class. Sometimes (for example) an aa.class will be rewritten by other mods after the original :/ can't just delete those to take off one, sadly.
It's worth a shot, but it's a HUGE gamble. It's an idea however.

I try to be helpful until I sense the derp level rising. Then it ramps up pretty fast into mockery. Responses are usually predictable. Thanks for actually being different.
Slowing down and listening, though, can be a useful tool as well. It will get you further with problem solutions, especially on these forums.
I just added Buildcraft to my old Minecraft account, and I'd like to get Chicken_Bones's NEI mod. I've seen it used in various tutorial videos (the hypnotoad guy), and it will fit in nicely with my single-player play style.
So, where can I find a link to the actual file? The post on page one (December 31st 2011) doesn't have active links.
Where are you putting CodeChickenCore?
It DOES NOT belong in the JAR. Needs to be in MOD Folder.
Now what version is CCL for?

:smile.gif:

Slowing down and listening, though, can be a useful tool as well. It will get you further with problem solutions, especially on these forums.

So, where can I find a link to the actual file? The post on page one (December 31st 2011) doesn't have active links.
Thanks
