Oh...yes...yes...Pleeeease! Because I run this mod on SP, my SMP sheep heard are frozed in a "rave dancing" glitchy stance. I have a huge herd of "sheared dyed sheep"...I just do not want to have to kill them all on my server...such a waste. This may be a "small mod" compared to the 'big boys'...but it is the best one of them all!!!
Mega kudos...:smile.gif:
May Santa bring you something special this year for your wonderful efforts.

Thank you so much, this really means a lot.
As a shout out to everyone, the first SMP release may not include the other animals due to that being a new release. However, it may...

The man who discovered milk... What the HELL was he doing...
Oh I am sorry, I will try to fix that if it is that bad :wink.gif:
Maybe a better way to store the data for the animals? Or do it by chunk. Only keep track of X chunks from the player. Let the rest of the animals act like normal :tongue.gif:
Sorry to disturb for such a stupid reason, but how do I edit the properties of the mod? Cause I am an adventurer for nature, and having to take care of my herds would just make my game harder. So, how can I edit the mod settings?

The man who discovered milk... What the HELL was he doing...
I'm just trying out this mod for the first time.
Thanks so much for creating it!
I am glad that Mojang is FINALLY doing something to fix sheep, but clearly this mod already does more than the latest pre release of MC.
ANYWAY,
I do like the direction of this mod.
I also have some questions about what feels like an inconsistency to me in the way the mod treats cows versus pigs.
If I understand correctly, pig will drop porkchops when their needs of food and water are met, while cows will drop milk.
But what about leather? That's what I really want! That's what I really need! If pig drop pork cops why don't cows drop leather? I'm in desperate need of additional leathers as my world is a bit borked and cows are VERY hard to come by.

Again, thanks a bunch!
Killing cows will provide leather, that is pre-coded into Minecraft. The only reason pigs need food and water to provide their drop (when killed) is because they have nothing else to offer. Cows have milk so that is what they need food and water for. If you are asking me to add food and water requirements to all animals' drops, that is something I considered but figured people wouldn't like. There isn't much water in biomes like forests.

ah ok actually that does make sense to me now. I forgot about cows giving milk (and leather) but pigs only having pork-chops to give. I don't think ive ever milked a MC cow, so it was easy to forgot about the milk!
Have you ever considered having an animal mating component to your mod?
Or a separate mod?
It might be great to be able to have some animals that when surrounded by a fence, and having food and water, and maybe grain or a grain lick block, will mate and create baby animals at some random interval.

There is a mod called AutoBreed, don't have a link sorry (try google), that accomplishes this. However, one problem is that the animals will breed wit the babies which causes fenced in farms to 'explode' and can create some serious lag.

thanks again for your responses. I took a look at the autobreed mod.
Looks good but i would prefer something that was more balanced, like maybe so the animals still had to consume some wheat or something like that.
Not really something I know how to do...
Do so and I'm all on board. :smile.gif:

I'm a patient man.
Being pestered by a few people who play on whatever server I run can get annoying enough...
I can't imagine having hundreds on a forum.

Well it still affects other animals and it has a bit more in it than what Jeb has put in. But yeah, it does lose some of its value.
I know, it disappoints me that he added food requirements... That was one of my big points :sad.gif:
