You know it's a wanted feature when even a Moderator starts asking for it! ;D
Haha we ain't no different from a normal user. Just trying to +1 the suggestion
EDIT: Just writing down my 2 cents:
The 3 mods (Improved First Person, Player Animations, and Player Render API) ARE compatible with each other, and each one does it's job well. However, in First person, because Player animations adds a new model/animation to the head, and Improved First person brings out the third person model without the head, the result is this:
creepy
My uninformed, non-developer guess is that the only thing needed to be done (Not saying it's easy) is to remove the head added by Player animations, ONLY when in first person. Everything else seems to be working correctly.
About the RenderPlayer API becoming a coremod, I don't think that's going to happen. The problem is that it makes HUGE HUMONGOUS GIGANTIC changes to the player rendering code, not just minor ones to open up more possibilities. There are API hooks for pretty much every single method in RenderPlayer.java. Then again, I'm just guessing, maybe Divisor will start feeling ambitious sometime. But I don't think that would fix compatibility with the Animated Player mod either. If the head doesn't become invisible with IFP installed, that means that Animated Player replaces the head model completely, meaning RenderPlayer wouldn't be able to get at it properly (and neither would any mods that use it).

The problem with doing that is that I'd have to decompile the Animated Player mod, which the maker of it may not even be okay with. (and even if I did that, it would be a very hacky solution)
The absolute ideal solution would be for the maker of Animated Player to make its special head model copy its values from the vanilla head model (invisibility, other values), so that when those values change for a RenderPlayer mod it changes for the Animated Player model.
I'm taking the mod over, and I'm preparing to post a new thread on these forums with the new version of the mod that I've been working on. I have to wait on the CurseForge admins to approve the mod download so people can start downloading it, but be on the lookout for the thread (it should be up soon).
Great! Thanks for the response, soon-to-be-head-developer
I have already left a reply on the Player animation topic, hope the dev responds and maybe it can be done.
If you are willing to, maybe shoot him a PM?

Done. Hopefully he'll reply, I haven't seen anything from him about compatibility issues yet on his thread.

I'm glad you may be working on a solution for this. Also, you're starting development? I thought you were just working with Kes not taking it over! I guess congrats anyways. Yeah, hippo doesn't really seem to like to respond to people, and it's been mentioned so many times in the post that I think he just ignores the incompatibility posts to tell you the truth XD
I'm really excited though Good luck!

"Yeah I do." "Oh."

Great idea, and thanks for using an image instead of words, it's much clearer and more interesting.

I'll be also asking the moderator to lock this thread.
