One more quick question. I am trying to pipe the lava using Buildcraft fluid pipes into the lava smelter but for some reason pipes are not connecting. I am making sure I pipe it from the bottom so into a fuel slot but when I place the pipes, I can tell they're not connecting correctly. Is this just something that's not supported or am I doing something wrong?
Can you post what Minecraft you using and what version of your Metallurgy and Buildcraft? Anyway for basic checkup, try check the version of Buildcraft and Metallurgy. Is it compatible?

Metallurgy is 3.3.1 and Buildcraft is 4.2.1
Not sure how to check compatibility. Both mods work but I didn't know there was some version matchup to follow. Where do I find that?
edit: nm, more research shows that this is actually a known bug and transport piping works but not fluid transport piping. https://github.com/T...lurgy/issues/95
Ty for trying to help though.
All comments pertaining to ducts not connecting to Smelteries, I have looked into providing this but it will take some time to rearrange the code and to make it work properly.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll make do with manual filling for now.
I'm updating from MC1.5.2 to 1.6.4 and found out the latest Mettalurgy3 added Pylons with no crafting recipes. Is there any use for them or is it just a placeholder ?!?

Yes, I am currently updating the mod. Lately the focus has been on Metallurgy4.
So will there be sweeping changes coming to the mod or will the items and systems generally be the same? Specifically will progress/gear be lost if my server were to update from Metallurgy 3 to 4? Also I take it you will post a new forum page for Metallurgy 4 here when it is ready?

Okay, thanks for letting me know.
Also, is there going to be a lot of changed mechanics, kind of like what was proposed for Metallurgy reforged, or will it be pretty much the same experience with 1.7 coding?
Poking around with things, if the Ender Storage Ender Tanks could be included in the planned additions to compatibiltiy for fueling the smelters, that would rock. My group of players is hard to sell on things, and are really not buying that a major mechanical mod is worth the trouble (they're mostly mining and hunting types), but they are interested in new ways to handle the lava supply problem once we get Smelters. Will keep an eye on Buildccraft, though- the player usually responsible for actually going out and grabbing lava would probably like it if we could replace him on that job with some kind of pump. :-J
I'm using Metallurgy 3 Base, and when trading with a villager he wants 4 magnesium igniters for 1 emerald however magnesium igniters aren't stack-able.
I would upload the picture but it seems im not allowed too.
Updated to the most recent version of Gregtech, 4.07o, and still have this same issue. I'm pretty sure Greg put this in intentionally, so I'm just wondering if there's a way to turn it off somewhere?
Not sure if it's related, or a conflict with another mod.... but when I mine Bitumen & Potash, out pop a ton of Woven Adventurer Backpacks (from the Forestry addon). Pretty sure that's not right... but not sure how to fix it even if I can? :\ I'm also not sure if those are the only two id conflicts, I haven't fully explored all the metals/forest yet.
Also posted this over on the Forestry thread.

keep up the great work!
It would probably be a good idea to open ForgeModLoader-client-0.log in your Minecraft directory, and search for the text "CONFLICT" (without quotes). That will find you anywhere IDs are colliding - but bear in mind that item IDs may be reported as 256 higher than you see in the config files.
What does the Tartarite enchanter do? Also, do any tools have special abilities? If not I think you should add some, especially for the fantasy ores. Also I looked at the spreadsheet, and what's with all the crossed out things? What does that mean?
