I am a little late, but I made a very good showcase on your mod "CraftGuide!" Its also in my Top 5 mods of all time video. Hopefully you can add this video to the page! That would be awesome! Thanks.
yeah me too. NEI is invaluable for resolving ID conflicts but I cannot STAND having it in while I am playing the game it is just too overpowering. But even the recipe interface just isn't as convenient as crafting guide.

I love this mod as well, I've been using it for several months now.
I do have a question though, what causes some mods recipes to not show up? I'm giving mekanism a try and most of its recipes don't appear in crafting guide right now. Is that something that mekanism is doing or something happening with crafting guide?
Finally, an update:
- Finishing with Minecraft 1.6 (hopefully)
- Updated compatibility with GregTech and IC²
- Misc. bugfixes, as usual (includes an old bug with liquid filters matching empty containers)
- Gave the item a name so that it can transition to 1.7 worlds. Forge will likely complain about an ID error, but it's safe to ignore)
A 1.7.x version will happen eventually. Forge changed the build environment, so I'll have to deal with that at the same time as significant Minecraft changes.

Might be a CraftGuide bug, though it's more likely that Mekanism needs more functionality than Minecraft or Forge already have in a recipe class, so displaying them is something I, or the author(s) of Mekanism, need to handle specifically.
CraftGuide, recipe viewer with a scrollbar! (Resizable window, too, if you prefer playing with a smaller GUI scale and are tired of GUIs only occupying a tiny square in the centre)
So it *will* be updated to 1.7? Thank goodness, I dunno what I'd do without this ._. I don't suppose you have any idea how long that might take? Just wondering when I should check back again. And also I'm a bit confused, did you mean you *can* currently use it in 1.7 even though it's not technically updated?
This should be available in the vanilla game.
How are people suppossed to figure out all the recipes without permanently alt-tabbing between the game and Minecraft Wiki? A normal game could never pull that off. If Minecraft was not in constant development but released like a normal game, reviews would totally destroy it for flaws like that.
The village libraries would be a totally logical location for storing something like this and basically all the game information available in the wiki. It would absolutely make sense. The villagers know how to build and farm. They need to have some sort of reference.
Anyway, great mod, saves me a lot of time, effort and frustration when playing, thank you very much.
Hello Uristqwerty, I'm doing a modded minecraft series on my youtube channel, and I'm using your crafting guide! It honestly wasn't my first choice, but I'm really liking the UI and the search features, and it doesn't slow down my PC like other Crafting guides. I'm still fairly new to Let's plays, so it's not the best, but it's here if youw ant to check it out!

I whole heartedly agree. This is the next best thing to the xbox crafting system, the lucky ba-- IIII mean fine fellows >.>;
Could you Updated to 1.7.2? Forge 1.7.2 is already out, and I cannot update because I need your mod, it's just so awesome.
Been working on it. Mojang broke some old code in the process of improving IDs, and Forge broke other things for no clear reason. I have something that works for 1.7.2, though the keybind isn't usable yet, and the item lacks a proper name.
Haven't tested with IC² or BuildCraft yet, so I expect it'll be done between later today (optimistically) and a week from now (pessimistically).

It seems to be working, so I have released a 1.7.2 version. There may be a few bugs, but hopefully nothing that makes it unusable. Tested with BuildCraft 5.0.3.61 and IC² 2.1.422, and their recipes seemed to work. BuildCraft does have a new machine, though the recipes won't be included yet as this release is focused on the Minecraft update.
@SubscribeEvent
public void keyDown(InputEvent.KeyInputEvent event)
And check a saved instance of the KeyBinding with kb.func_151470_d() (isKeyDown() or something like that)
IC^2's api has changed so that needs to be taken into account.
Thanks, though by the time I read that, I had eventually found something similar.

Thanks for the update. Like many others, I appreciate your keeping CG current. I am unaware of any specific "bug" report methods for CG, so I'll let you know here. It's not really a bug, but a minor oops. When scrolled to the bottom of the Guide, the label at top lists "Rows 275-276 of 277". For all other pages it lists the appropriate 1-3, 4-6, etc., but it misses 277. Like I said, not a big deal, but I thought it something you would like to know.
So it's not a bug that there are no IC2 recipes? I have IC2 version 419, and the craftguide does show the machine functions (like iron ore in macerator makes crushed iron) but it doesn't show even a single item recipe. There are not any IC2 "this is how you make 'x' machine" recipes. That's intentional?
Probably a bug. I guess it needs more thorough testing, to check whether all of the mod recipes are displaying correctly, especially using a variety of mod versions.

eg:
1) type in dispenser
2) lists every block with dispenser in the word
3) click on item you want to know (in the list of awnsers) and it'll show recipe?
I don't really get why it isn't just like that
You wouldn't need more than that.
It's not very useful for me like this
Oh and i've had two crashes while using this for like 15 minutes.
Tried it out with just forge & liteloader installed so it's not some other mod besides these important necessary modloaders that is causing it.
Once when opening the gui in a multiplayer server:

Um, you can, that's what "select item" does, and, once you click the dispenser it gives you its recipe and anything it's an ingredient in. Doesn't it say you have this ability on the first post under some change somewhere? I'm pretty sure it does. Hit "G" and click "select item", be pleased.
