is there any way to make a copy of the magic map? like done with normal maps, so it can be shared with friends on smp servers, or support for item frames would be cool too. just idea's.
Quite impressive mod! Works very well for the most part, except that when you enter the portal the rendering of the twilight dimension takes a lifetime to load. I'm not sure if streamlining the programming would fix that, but by simplifying the programming I believe that the rendering would take less time. I must say how impressed I am as a whole, though,
Benimatic, I've found some incompatibilities with the Twilight Forest Mod.
I hope this Crash Report will help.

This mod looks awesome! I'd love to try it out.
One thing: I keep getting mixed messages. This page says Forge only, yet others say you can use Modloader for it. Is there any way I can get a modloader version? Forge makes conflicts with lots of my other mods. If not, that's okay.
-Warm Regards ,
Thorn
There is no Modloader version. There was one a long time ago, but the mod has been entirely converted to Forge since then.
I find that by the time I get into the maze mobs already set off all the traps.
Yeah, there's almost no way to stop them from setting off some of the traps. I have lights in the treasure room, but the lazy Minecraft lighting engine sometimes doesn't make them work until the player gets close. Anyways, there's extra treasure to compensate for the fact that monsters will set some of the traps off.
Been playing with this mod in FTB. It's by far my favourite of the worlds that i've encountered thus far.
A pity it doesn't count as daytime in the Twilight Forest. I'd love to have my Forestry Bees there.
In any case, there's a massive dupe glitch involving the Uncrafting Table where crafting multiple items on it (e.g. 2 chests) and shift-clicking the resulting item, will craft the item, but not consume the resources. Just refresh the recipe to repeat.
Thanks! I have fixed the bug in later versions. (Although I see there's a new problem, where the table doesn't pick up on Forge ore dictionary recipes. I'll have to fix that.)

The people with low spawn rates in Lich towers are lucky. Whenever I attempt to raid a tower, I contend with a preposterous amount of enemies. I couldn't possibly give an exact count, but I nearly always reach level 20 (from 0) before I've made it halfway up the main stairs. I fight at least 20 death tomes per tower and I hate them. This may be a SMP issue, possibly.
Regarding the lich towers: Maybe make the wood type for the roof biome-specific? Birch in the dark forest is awfully bright. I feel like spruce would look nice here. Also, are death tomes especially weak to fire? Because they should be.
Additionally, I'm still not able to set my spawn with beds in the forest.
EDIT: I see the bed issue is a forge problem. Never mind.
EDIT 2: What exactly does the peacock fan do at this point?
I did some tower testing this morning, and I counted 14 mobs on the way up. But I was also checking the side towers for treasure as I climbed. Anyways, that's not too bad. Some parts of the tower did seem kind of empty, but that's how caves usually are too. I don't have much control over the main Minecraft monster spawning mechanism.
Then, at the top, the lich killed me. Twice! But I think there may be an issue with his minions hitting too hard. I'll have to test it a little further.
Anyways, death tomes do take double fire damage. And the peacock fan pushes monsters or other entities around. If you practice, you can even launch them in the air. I may expand it in the future to give it another few uses, but I was running up against technical limitations with what the minecraft engine can do.

I did have map copying recipes on my to-do list, but I didn't get to it in this last update. Maybe soon!
This may be a random suggestion but I think it could be handy. Would it be possible to get a separate creative tab group for the items from this mod? There are so many that it would be nice to see them all in one place

This mod is fantastic but for some reason all npcs and my player character ( while in 3rd person) are invisible. the sounds and shadows are there. i can even interact 100% like getting drops and stuff but all the creatures are invisible.
The problem could be my method. In any case it's clearly not your fault!
Then, at the top, the lich killed me. Twice! But I think there may be an issue with his minions hitting too hard. I'll have to test it a little further.
I've had mixed luck with liches. I fought and nearly killed one without any armor at all and a stone sword (I killed it on the third life), but the next one stopped me like a brick wall five lives in a row. I couldn't get the reflection angle to work for a long time (my fault).
Anyways, death tomes do take double fire damage. And the peacock fan pushes monsters or other entities around. If you practice, you can even launch them in the air. I may expand it in the future to give it another few uses, but I was running up against technical limitations with what the minecraft engine can do.
Okay. That's actually pretty useful I imagine. I noticed it wasn't double-jumping in the last update and I wanted to check if this was intended. Are you going to add this functionality back? I know you were having trouble limiting the number of jumps to two, but if you were to explore this mechanic further I'd recommend a cool-down period between strokes. Maybe just enough time to maintain constant altitude when the button is held?
Also, do you plan to make the maze and magic maps display their contents in item frames?
I hope this Crash Report will help.

I have, actually! I have quite a few ideas about new weapons, but I wanted to concentrate on non-combat items with the last batch.
The mod is awesome, keep up the good work!

The problem could be my method. In any case it's clearly not your fault!
I've had mixed luck with liches. I fought and nearly killed one without any armor at all and a stone sword (I killed it on the third life), but the next one stopped me like a brick wall five lives in a row. I couldn't get the reflection angle to work for a long time (my fault).
