Thanks for suggesting that, creators should use this song as background music while in Twilight realm.
in addition to the green fog thing, make a rare magic tree in the overworld, that only spawns atop mountains, and very rarely. use the wood of this tree to make your portal. maybe have pixies in the twilight forest, among other creatures. magic trees should be less rare in the twilight forest.
Love it! First time I tried it I spawned in a huge cavern and was murdered by like 27 spiders! :tongue.gif: Only problem I had was that when I die in the forest the game freezes. Thats probly just my computer screwing up though. Either way great mod! Keep it up, I'd love to see it with new mobs!
I love this mod, one problem though, it LAGS my game completely out when I go to the twilight realm, in the normal realm I have like 200 FPS constantly, in the twilight realm I get like 30 - 40 FPS. x_x

My framerate leveled out to it's usual fail average of 8 after it generated the nearby chunks.
There's something about this mod that just makes Minecraft crawl. Even when I'm not in the twilight forest I get no more than 10 FPS, which is a far cry from the 30 FPS I'm used to getting. It looks nice and all, but being that slow makes me not want to play at all.
Hmm. While I'll freely admit that the system requirements for the mod are higher than vanilla Minecraft, I'm not sure why the mod should change anything in the regular world. All it does is check every few seconds to see if the player is standing in a portal with a mushroom. One more check on top of the thousands that minecraft normally does shouldn't mean a 60% FPS loss.
But yeah, when you're in the Twilight Forest, it uses a lot of CPU power, especially if you have "Fancy" graphics mode on (all those leaves add up). I usually have to turn it to "Fast" mode if I'm moving quickly into a lot of new areas.
I can look into the performance a little, but before I start tearing my hair out trying to find the reason, could you check like two other things?
First, make sure it didn't reset any video settings. I know it's done that to me before.
Second, I usually play with like 24 browser windows open, so I know that every so often one will go berserk and start using like 10%-50% of the cpu, causing a FPS loss. In fact this site will do that to me sometimes. So I'd check that, maybe shut your browser down entirely before playing.
Minecraft does just gobble up computing power. It's kind of silly to think my mod might have similar system requirements to say... Skyrim.

It's not Minecraft, it's just that Java is a CPU hog. Combined with all of the checks of Minecraft, it has higher system requirements than Source Engine games.
Will there ever be SAPI compatibility? I would love to use this mod, except for the fact that I am running the aether. I don't want to have to choose between them since both of them seem/are amazing.

Were you holding a RED mushroom?
It needs modloader, make sure you have the correct version installed, and if it's the correct version, reinstall Twilight Realm.
ikr it fits so well. Also i agree they should listin to this while making the mod.
I love it! Thanks, I've put it into the description!
