I made a 'normal' iron Mattock (iron heads, wooden handle), and though it works just fine, it doesn't have an icon and is called "Unnamed". I haven't checked any other Mattocks, but all other tools that I have seem to be working fine. Except I can't repair them, of course, and so I have half a chest of destroyed tools, but I know that's not a completed feature yet.
I've added a basic repair method to the tool station. It's simple enough; putting the material that the head is made out of with the tool will add some durability. This may change, but it's enough to start with.
I've also added a lapis modifier. It takes a couple blocks and doesn't do anything to begin with. Adding lapis to it will give you something interesting... no sprite for it yet though.
Qwertygiy: Yay messed up Mattocks. I'll look at them later.
DarkWerr: I'd have to investigate NEI before I say yes or no.

Good bye my Diamond Pickaxe with Fortune III, and welcome Super Modified Iron Pickaxe with Fortune III. \o/
Edit: To confirm, there're still some tools without the whole sprite for upgrades? (e.g.: Iron Pickaxe Head, Obsidian acessory and Obsidian handle, this tool doesn't have upgrade sprite)
Edit2: It seems to be a bug on Lapis Upgrade.
Edit3: Confirmed bug, when the tool starts to shine (Fortune I), the sprite for upgrades doesn't change anymore. But it's just a sprite bug, nothing to worry too much.

in the creative menu i cant find the tool station and tools and armour and other stuff please reply
and btw i think u deleted the infitools from the download i think thats why can u update the thread
Today I'd like to improve the part crafter so that it pulls from a nearby pattern-chest block. No more muddied up inventory or throwing patterns at the wall in frustration, hurrah! I'd also like to add some mining tools with a wider range; we'll see if I have time for that.
DarkWerr: I am aware of the sprite bug. The fix I put in place recently seems to work on Redstone, not on Lapis. I'll be looking at it later. As the sprites are stored in the tool, the one you have is permanently borked. ;(
arnuno: TConstruct isn't in the modpack due to alpha-ness. InfiTools is gone and not coming back.

to mdiyo me can no find ores or i cant find ores and the tool bar in creative menu after materials its blank and orizon is supposed to give us ores i think u deleted cuz theres only stone and slime pool
Such an interesting collection of mods you have here !
The most interesting and original for me is the slime pool. I'd love to see it as a standalone mod . I wish all monsters appeared in such an organic and interesting way instead of those ugly and artificial "spawner blocks": old tombs for zombies and skeletons, webbed nests for spiders, and so on.
TConstruct looks very interesting, it has a similar vibe to Steve's Carts, but for tools. It would be great if you found some streamlined manner of interacting with all those mods that add new ores of varying hardness.
I've put a lot of work into these mods - over a year's worth of learning and making, for better or worse. I love to share my work with anyone who would like it, and to use in any way they desire. I only ask that you enjoy it.
You're an awesome human being. If more modders had this attitude the benefits for the community would be immense.

Like I said, nothing to worry since I can "NEI" the exact same materials for the tool and make a new one. The only problem is the feature to see the durability, upgrades and etc is bugged, only if I break my tool a little and try to repair that I can see it again.

Sorry for any misspelling, the english isn't my native language.
After spending too much time messing around with patterns and inventory, an idea struck. These stations are supposed to be multi-block devices, why not just make them so? Thus the pattern chest was borne.
The pattern chest has to be near a part crafter to do anything. Something like this will do:
I've also added a lumber axe that can fell trees. If it doesn't find a tree it will break every wood block touching the one you harvest, and yes it does use durability for each block harvested. It's got quite a bit of durability though, so go nuts.
Karganeth: Slime Pools are already a standalone download. I split up my mods into bite-sized pieces some time ago.
FireKnight_9253: There are, just not in the modpack. Try TConstruct if you don't mind constant updating. I'm building content, not systems.

Pattern Chest? Oh my gosh yes. Just yes. THANK YOU. Now having an entire chest dedicated to those wooden sheets is actually integrated with the mod instead of running back and forth between the chest and the tables.
NEI is your friend, but here's the basic T-construct recipes I've used so far:
Pattern: Sticks and planks in a 2x2 diagonal shape. I forget if the planks go in top-left bottom-right or top-right bottom-left or if it doesn't matter.
Other patterns: Stick the pattern in the crafting table and you'll get the next one, as well as keeping the old one. Temp recipe.
Tool part station: Pattern on top of block of wood.

how do i make the tool heads and all the other parts like axe head or the iron sticks or whatever u call them mdiyo make a comment with full crafting recipies cuz after 1.4.5 be cuz of tool station u need the head and stuff to make the actual thing i dont even know whats shards lol im in UAE so when its night time here its day time there i hope when i sleep someone will give me a reply and how do we get shards if there is no ores not if really no ores
Today's plan is to create the smeltery. It's going to be a little different from other mods, as it isn't just a higher tier furnace. It's going to melt metals down so you can shape them in patterns. The best part is that it runs on lava.
I've a mockup that will be good as a reference. Replace furnace with output, pattern chest with bellows, glass with lava tank.
arnuno: There are no ores. I got rid of them all, as a lot of them were useless. Shards are half-materials for tools, and you can use them as such. Some of them need better names.
You don't use the crafting table, you use the tool station and part crafter. The part crafter needs patterns; it should be obvious after that.
Dragoner95 1. Cobalt and ardite will be ores. I haven't finished that part yet.
2. Yes, yes it would. I can't reconcile the ores of other mods in the stratified stone, and some of them don't generate, so I've been lazy about updating it.
3. Most of them will return as base materials or modifiers. Redstone is a modifier, moss will be as well.
I can see what you see not, vision milky then eyes rot. When you turn they will be gone, whispering there hidden song. Then you see what can not be, shadows move where a light should be.Out of darkness, out of mind, cast down into the halls of the blind.

War does not determine who is right. Only who is left.
