Beds work in the Aether! Use the modified WorldProviderAether if you want beds to work in the Aether, and use EntityPlayerAether ONLY if you want to be able to 'sleep' in your bed (and set your spawn point) during the day in the Aether. This is useful if you haven't killed the Gold Boss yet and the sun doesn't set :biggrin.gif:

Aechor Plants no longer despawn! (at all... not sure if this will cause issues or not, but they shouldn't despawn at all now)
First off, it's not fun running around and falling down places and losing your items into the abyss. SPC has its own little 'keepitems' feature that should keep your items after death but it doesn't work sadly because of the extra armor slots that the Aether mod adds. So I've developed a fix for that, which is usable with/without SPC.
Secondly, the spawn rate for everything is messed up of course. I tried changing it in the BiomeGenAether file but strangely it wasn't working out.. So I rewrote the entire function to spawn animals. It works a bit better now. In the Aerwhale, Cockatrice, and Zephyr generation functions there was a 'pick a number between 0 to x, if its 0, spawn, if not do nothing' snippet of code... I figured this was an attempt on their part to make the game more balanced as well. I don't understand why they should complicate it like that so I removed that and just changed the rarity rates for all the monsters in the BiomeGenAether file.
Here's what I've done to the rarity rates:
Swet - 10 (unchanged)
Aechor Plant - 3 to 8
Sheepuff - 15 to 10
Phyg - 8 to 10
Moa - 10 (unchanged)
and separately:
Cockatrice - 12 to 4
Aerwhale - 10 to 6
Zephyr - 8 to 2
Just some background knowledge on the mob spawning:
Okay so the 1st list is the mobs that spawn on any difficulty and the 2nd list is the mobs that spawn on easy+. Each list is dealt with separately so the rarity rates of one could be vastly inflated (if you wanted) and it wouldn't affect the other list. A single list's rarity rates are relative. Think of them as ratios. Now that I think about it i could take the 2nd list and divide each rarity rate (4, 6, 2) by a factor of 2 and it wouldn't affect anything.. but whatever.
So as you can see the most popular monster will be aerwhales then cockatrices then zephyrs.
The most popular creature will be swets/sheepuffs/phygs/moas then aechor plants.
Just an FYI, mobs probably won't despawn immediately so when you load up your world, don't expect changes to take place immediately.
I've also added an Aechor Plant spawn notification, which will tell you the coordinates of it so you can press F3 and navigate to it if you feel like cheating I suppose.
Thirdly, the poison lasts a bit too long for my taste. I've reduced it to half.

inb4 mods delete thread for ripping off the Ather's code. Also, it's plagiarism because you used adfly, you are gaining money off of something you didn't make yourself. So it's not only against forum rules, it's illegal.

This is a mod forum... there are game mods here. I never said 'I take full credit for Aether mod'... Of course the creators are great for making it, I simply made some changes to it. There are plenty of other mods that modify Minecraft code. You can't get mad at me for modifying a mod.

While I definitely dislike that he has not asked beforehand, I will not take action against this at the current point in time.
While I totally support open source (good on you for including the .java files, bro), you're being a bit overly hostile and coming of a kind of an asshole.
