OK I have a problem when I installed the Mod every thing was working fine but when I break a block I don't get anything please PM me if you can help me.
well if your using worldly tools to break the holy stone then thats your problem.the heavens is like a hole new starting world. you collect the wood and make the tools and then try. and if your using the tools made in the mod then i dont know what the problem is
Too many Zephyrs 0_0 It's really annoying when you're building something and you have to constantly dodge their snowballs... I understand it adds a new level of difficulty but it's mostly annoying as f***. A spawn rate decrease would be nice... also, not enough Aechor plants. You seem to need them in large amounts... yet they're so rare.I haven't found any moas either other than the ones that shoot things at you. The cocka-somethings.
that's ALL you're getting? oh my god you should consider yourself fortunate, son. I have about 3-4x that density of Zephyrs. It's insanity. (And I'm using 1.01) I can't even kill them as fast as they can spawn with enchanted darts/Hammer of Notch/lightning dagger AND flymod.
Here's my rundown of the mod:
Good things:
-New tools, both extremely handy in the real world (particularly skyroot tools) and very creative/fun to use.
-New ores and blocks introduce new gameplay methods as you discover them (cold clouds work well as replacements for glass in case anyone was wondering what to use instead), which keeps you from turtling and becoming a stagnant miner.
-Freedom of tool use and ability to tame/capture things with REAL utility to them.
-Lovely interaction between the Aether and the real world (Being able to pull down mounts into the real world to use them, falling out of the Aether into the world).
(Currently) bad things:
-All these spawning glitches, Aerwhales not being graceful and running into trees and things, are ruining the experience for a lot of people. I had the most fun when I was playing with cheats - I got really frustrated when I couldn't easily get to my items after I died.
-cold clouds not protecting your fall after a certain height. Has anyone figured out at what height it gives out on?
-Inability to load up the map in an editor like MCEdit, and inability to use certain mods due to restrictions in the Aether mod (like nobody being able to spawn Aechor plants, which we only need to do because there aren't any showing up!)
-Inability to use an item editor like INVEdit due to haxx-prevention in the Aethor mod. Seriously, your only audience for your mod are modders themselves, so don't you think we'd appreciate being able to cheat if we needed to?
-Weird bug with tamed Moas disappearing (I'm glad I can't find any Aechor plants, because if I spent hours and hours getting the aechor petals only to have my black moa disappear, I'd be beyond upset)
-Aether being annoyingly hard to survive in even on Peaceful due to all the mobs still being present. I see that the Swets need to be around so you can get back if your gate breaks, but they shouldn't do anything more than push you around on Peaceful. Maybe all of the mobs could still be around but not do any damage (the zephyrs wouldn't even attack of course).
FYI if anyone is firing up SinglePlayerCommands just to give themselves some items (and then remove it so you don't get banished to the Nether if you die) then the item code for Aechor petals is 17262 and the item code for Enchanted Gravitite is 185. Thankfully, my friend somehow spawned in the Aether next to two Aechor plants (and died), but he picked up the petals after coming back in when prepared. FYI he's been playing several days (as have I) and in our hours of exploration we have yet to see another Aechor plant. We are both playing on either Normal or Hard, but I have also tried looking on Easy.
I think the "saving chunks" problem was from optimine/optifog, because it works okay without them (without sound, though, I have no idea what that's all about)
I don't think Optime + Optifog causes any problems, at least not for me (unless I enable LoadFar, then my computer hates me).
I am sorry to have to report this but. . . I found a BIG flaw in the mod.
I was just minding my own business in survival and I got into the Aether. Once their I accidentally loaded a
saved inventory which deleted the enchanting book. After the enchanting book was deleted 1. I could not respawn it. 2. All of my aether worlds afterwards were the same. 3. None of the other portals spawned it. I just thought that you would want to know about a flaw this large. Thank you for reading,

If you happen to lose it again, just move the "stats" folder in the .minecraft folder to your desktop. Getting the book is connected to getting the "Hostile Paradise" achievement, so when you next log into that world, you'll get a book. Once you got the item, move the stats folder back and replace the new stats folder, so you can still keep track of your info.

Some items do not show on TMI on purpose, so then that you have to actually earn them.

I believe that the creators of the mod made it like that because it does it to me and all of my friends too. But i would admit its clever to make it so rare items cant be spawned.

It could just be me, I'm not sure, but the spawnrate of flying pigs, Aechor plants, the weird sheep, and Moas seem to be incredibly low. I have yet to see a flying pig, Moa, Aechor plant or sheep thing naturally. I can spawn them all in just fine, but I seem to only get the hostile mobs spawning (Zephyrs, swets, those poison Moa things, etc.) All of the Aether mobs show up in the spawn list in single player commands, but none will spawn naturally.
Is this an issue on my end? I don't think it could be, though I'd re-installed the mod to be sure and that didn't fix it.
I have yet to see a single aechor plant which is frustratingly annoying. I love it but navigation is just so hard without moa.
EDIT: Also I have not found any naturally-spawned blue or gold cloud blocks.

Ihave found that with SPC it decreases spawnrate of friendly mobs and increases glitches with the aether i reccomend you get rid of SPC if you are going to use the Aether mod but your choice.
Epic mod! This is definitely worthy of joining the actual game like pistons.
I played for a few hours today, and while I certainly did have a good time, the bugs kind of lessened the experience. Though I realize that the mod is newly released and many bugs need fixed and the fine tuning still needs finished so I won't discredit it at all.
Other than the bugs, there were a few gameplay features which I was not entirely sold on. The first is the tool abilities. While having unique abilities on each tier of tools is a cool idea, I found it semi-annoying that I needed to be using wooden tools after several hours into the game when harvesting certain resources. The whole point of upgrading tools is so that they become more useful. Sure they mine faster, but 2x resources is hard to argue with. I feel as if all the tools should simply have a 50% (give or take) chance to drop double of whatever your collecting. This still excludes the minerals you cannot get double currently though like Zanite and Gravitite.
The second one is Zanite and Gravitite armor special abilities. I do not really like how Zanite gets more effecient as it wears. I don't exactly know why, but it doesn't feel right when playing. As for Gravitite, the set effect should allow you to perform two smaller jumps instead of one large one and fall damaged should be greatly reduced and not eliminated. I don't see how you can fall from the Aether into the normal world with this set and still be live.
My final issue is rings and neclaces. They serve no purpose but slight faster mining time if your wearing Zanite ones. They just seem to clutter up our inventory and look rather unpleasant in the inventory slots. Surely something more useful can be done with them.
Anyways, I will certainly be looking foward to more completed versions of this mod in the future.

I built an enchanter and tried to repair a valkyrie lance I got from a dungeon in it, but when I did it wouldn't start I also tried other special things from dungeons, and the same thing happened. Is this supposed to happen? If this was intentional, I think it should be changed so that people won't be nervous about using up their dungeon only items. I'm sorry if this was obvious, I quickly read through the thread and didn't see any similar posts. Thanks!

maybe you messed up on a step in installing it.

GENERATION 24: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
