don't know if this is a problem with this mod, or in extrabiomesXL, but red cobble from extraboimes does not show up on the map. neither doe redbrick (made from red cobble) blocks and redbrick stairs also do not show up.
The bug is that, when using the minimap with Optifine, yyou can only see the rendered part of the map instead of all like before. Also, when you move the map starts to glitch and you can't see anything. Here's a pic(ignore the white part of the image):
As you can see that is the large map, but is too small, and it glitches when you move. Sadly I can't use minecraft without optifine because it's a netbook.
I love this mod but having problems with it. I found out how to fix the map problem. on optifine go to options and reset everything back to the way it was. Then play your game for a few seconds and it will go back to normal. Then form there change one setting at a time to you get what you need or the problem comes back and then you can find out what made the map mess up and try to find a way around it.

I did this and I ran back into the glitching problem when I change the render distance but when I change the other options everything is normal. I couldn't find a way around it so I guess I'm stuck with playing in "normal" til there is a way I can play normally on a shorter render distance. Hopefully there will be a fix for this soon.

I doubt there will be a fix for this. The minimap cannot render chunks that the client doesn't have in memory. Optifine's setting for render distance causes the client to request and remember fewer chunks than normal to improve performance. Maybe something changed in the way Optifine does this, but the minimap has never been able to render chunks that the client doesn't have.
Is looks like Rei is working on a system for the mod to remember everywhere the player has visited for display on the big map, and maybe that will allow for better render distance support, but it would still look weird as you're travelling in a direction that you haven't been, and Optifine isn't requesting as many chunks as normal.
That's because you used Google Translate and for some reason expected an accurate translation. What the second sentence actually says is that pointing out the notation of the Options screen, i.e. the spelling and grammar, is also helpful.
That's only on multiplayer for me... I don't really know why though?

I'm having trouble with showing entities / other players on the minimap for SMP.
I've tried to add the code mentioned to the MOTD, but all it does is show what I put in for the MOTD on the server list.

The code doesn't go in the MOTD. This has been stated many times in this thread, but I'll go ahead and repeat it so you don't have to do any work yourself.
You CANNOT enable entities/cave mapping on an un-modded server. Period. You either need to install LoginMessage v0.4 as detailed in the first post of this thread. Or you need to install something like Bukkit and then use a plugin that displays a welcome message to players when they log in. The code goes in the login welcome message.
I really love this mod, I do have a feature request though.
Can there be a setting to hide some waypoints if they are far away? Like, maybe I have a lot of 'small' waypoints that only show if I'm within 200 meters, then regular ones that show within 1000 meters, then ones that show no matter where I am? Maybe it would be easiest just to put a distance setting when creating the waypoint, so people can choose their own system.

Is there a way to have "Server" waypoints? I play LAN with my son, it's be great to have a way to either save waypoints as personal or shared.
