Fixed. Equipping regular arrows ONCE allows me to use all other arrows correctly. The grappling hook was because of smart moving - I have to grab it to go up... The arrows do have shorter range than the normal arrows though (is it intentional?), and the bow animation does not occur (string does not pull back and the arrow does not appear in the bow, however the bow still fires and can be seen in mid air)
additionaly, when I attempt to use the HD textures, I get a java.Outofboundsexception. Since I use a HD texture pack, it would be good if someone could help with this.

Could you maybe also make a switch to turn certain arrowtypes off?
Because slime arrows may seem fun, but they kinda defeat the purpose of finding slimes, because once you have one slimeball you can make tons of slimes that give off slimeballs again.

Could you use the Forge Terrain Sprites System instead of the classic one for this mod, please?
Classic terrain sprites are very limited as you might know...
That would be great!
the below happened when i tryed throwing a spawn egg for any mob. i was on a server
i was using default id's for ropes+ items

I did grab the old Zipline and updated it to 1.2.5 for fun, but it was so broken i decided against posting it.
If anything someone would have to code a truly freeflow threedimensional Rope anchored in 2 fix points (using render magic etc etc) and i have too much on my plate to even consider that.

When I got the crash I had been delving into a cave, I didn't do anything in particular that I hadn't been doing for an hour by that point.
I have strange trouble - bow animation works, but without an arrow (all arrows, vanilla too) and don't shoot. Maybe because SmartMoving or another mod?

Halp.
your gpu looks nice fyi
and try redownloading and reinstalling mod from atomic strykers site.
then go into cave and tell me if it happens again.
if it does happen again then create a new world pull out a ropes+ arrow and tell me if it crashes.
if it does then idk how to help you. as long as you redownloaded ropes+

That's just it though, I never even MADE a ropes+ arrow. I don't even think I had a grappling hook in my inventory. But I had used the grappling hook several times before and I never noticed any problems.
I like this mod, especially for the grappling hook, but the rope arrow has several issues:
Shooting a nonstandard arrow transforms the bow into a different item. The transformed bow is "unnamed" and loses it's enchantments until it is turned back.
There is no visible arrow while charging special arrows.
You cannot shoot special arrows without having regular arrows in the inventory. Attempting so will transform the bow and not transform it back until an arrow is fired.
Shooting a rope arrow at the side of a block will first attempt to place the rope on the block's underside instead of the side.
The selected arrow type is not always displayed (didn't test further as to why it doesn't).
The ammo count always displays 1.
I only found out by chance how to switch loaded arrows. It would be nice to have it display something like "press , or . to switch arrows" right under the selected arrow type

I have exactly the same problem. I don't know how could I use the "unnamed bow" or giving it back to its original form. I think the unnamed bow has the ID 8559
Yes, that sounds about right. The ID change might also cause a problem with InvTweaks, if you have the bow in your "combat" configuration like I do. if the bow is transformed and you sort your inventory, it will be switched out (unless you add the transformed bow to the "bow" definition in the tree file)
I propose adding a Quiver that not only stores your different arrow types, but is also used to select the arrow you want to use. That way it not only saves inventory space and possibly the need for a seperate "unnamed" bow item, but also frees the two keys currently needed to change arrows (which overlap with Rei's Minimap key config).
Also the quiver could calculate how many arrows of the selected type are in it, and report it to the bow, which would display the ammo count correctly, eliminating yet another problem.
