I have this problem with 1.4.6/1.4.7... I use HarvestCraft core, Harvestcraft, All tress, bushes, flowers, fruit, everything...
I try to break a not finished fruit and it doesn't break. (I think that is intentional.) However.. If I go to break the leaf block it's hanging from, that fruit will drop as smoothstone...
Also when I go to chop the tree and let the leaves decay, the fruit will drop as smoothstone.

I tested this on both 1.4.7 and 1.5.1 (beta) versions of HarvestCraft's apple trees. Neither one appeared to drop a smoothstone for me. I broke the leaf block above the apple fruit (both unripe and ripe). The unripe apple didn't drop anything; the ripe one dropped an apple.
For breaking a tree with both incomplete and complete fruits, the result was the same. Unripe blocks dropping nothing, ripe ones dropping apple.
You might want to see if there's somehow a block conflict or item conflict somewhere as it's functioning normally for me. Tested with HarvestCraft Base 1.01, Apple 1.0 (1.4.7), and HC 1.5.1 Beta (which has both apple and harvestcraft).
Will you update Earthcraft? Because i would REALY love to dye glass!
Unfortunately Thor with Metalurgy 2 & The Paint Mod Pam is no longer updating her Earthcraft. Metalurgy 2 is a very decent stand-in for Pam's ores and minerals & also has colored glass you can use. It's linked on the first page near the top. I recommend you check it out.

I'm finally releasing 1.5.1 updates for all my mods! This has been my longest, hardest, and most annoying update to date. Heh. It's taken me over 36 hours to cut up and re-name over 1014 textures and re-code HarvestCraft to be more efficient and easier to update in the future. Please see the change log under each download link for changes. These mods should be use-able without issue on older worlds but always please make sure to make back-ups before trying! Also, these mods should work with later Minecraft updates, but we'll see.

EDIT: While this works fine with Harvest Craft on my client, once uploaded to the server running Forge 7.7.1 and Harvest Craft as the only two mods, it crashes console out. Here is the log. https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing
While integrating your mod into my server after release I made a full list of all ID conflicts I encountered and the changes I made. This is with the vanilla block IDs in the other mods. Just a heads up if anyone else is using a similar setup. I mostly shifted IDs within the other mods instead of yours.
Known conflicts:
Jammy Furniture
Forestry
Flan's Planes
(Grape bushes were conflicting with one of your own trees?) Maybe this was just a glitch on my end but I resolved it anyway.
Jammy Furniture:
mob_heads_four from 4084 to 3084
mob_heads_one from 4087 to 3087

PamHCGrape:
grapecropID from 4069 to 3069
grapestorageID from 4070 to 3070
grapewildID from 4071 to 3071
I'm using your Pam Hates snow and the melon spawner mods but niether of them are working. still have snow and no melons are spawning. what to do?
Strike that. My Bad! I Figured out that they weren't showing up because I was in an existing world save. created a new and they showed. Total Brainfart! LOL!
my 1.5.1 server crashes with this error. can any1 help me out?

Looking for some troubleshooting ideas, thanks in advance.
Problem:
After installing HarvestCraft 1.5.1, Java is throwing an exception when I load a pre-existing world that has lots of HarvestCraft material in it. This did not happen with 1.4.7.
Installed:
HarvestCraft 1.5.1
Forge 7.7.1.611
Optifine 1.51. HD U B1
No other mods installed.
My system:
Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit
8 gig RAM
Java standard edition, version 7 update 13 (build 1.7.0_13-b20)
Specific errors:
About 30 seconds after loading my world the first time, MC crashed with:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 5
It targeted: mods.PamHarvestCraft.trees.cherry.BlockPamCherry.func_71858_a(BlockPamCherry.java:61)
I removed the cherry mod and tried again. About the same amount of time after load, MC crashed with:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 7
It targeted: mods.PamHarvestCraft.trees.lemon.BlockPamLemon.func_71858_a(BlockPamLemon.java:61)
I removed the lemon mod and tried again. About the same amount of time after load, MC crashed with:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 7
It targeted: mods.PamHarvestCraft.trees.apple.BlockPamApple.func_71858_a(BlockPamApple.java:61)
This time I generated a brand new world, and spent an entire MC day running around harvesting any ground-based thing I saw, and never got a crash.
Some research on ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException said that this exception is thrown in java when the index is higher than the size of the array. Unfortunately, I don't know java well enough to go any further than this, and do any investigating into the arrays used in HarvestCraft.
Does anyone have some ideas of what I could try, to resolve this? I really don't want to lose this world.
Hey Pam I don't know much about scripting but is there any way you could make this more integrated with Mo' Creatures or AtmosMobs? As in... add specific meat drops to Mo' Creatures and use them in crafting food? If its possible I would love to see it happen, it would bring a whole new dimension to hunting in minecraft.

Update:
I removed the entire trees folder from the zip, and it errored like so:
java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 7
at mods.PamHarvestCraft.misc.candle.BlockPamCandle.func_71858_a(BlockPamCandle.java:61)
At this point I suspect it will just keep erroring its way through every mod as I delete them to try to figure it out.
SummerTree, this is with a previous save, correct?
I might have caused that error when I fixed up the fruit trees dropping stone and such.
If so, this means previous saves with tree fruits aren't going to be compatible with the new mod. =(Also, that sink error - I can see what's causing it. I will fix it when I get home from work (leaving in 5 mins else I'd fix it now).

Yes, this is a world built in 1.4.7.
I'll try opening it in a 1.4.7 environment, destroying all tree fruits stored everywhere, and opening it in 1.5.1 again. If that stops the crashing, at least we won't have to lose our worlds entirely.
