thank you for being on 1.6.2 still.
I don't think I'll be updating for a while.
where is the MAtmos Designer jar and other files in the "linux" folder supposed to go? in the root directory? the install notes say the "minecraft roaming folder", but I'm guessing that that's some windows directory...
Most of Audiotori's features are now covered by the official Minecraft 1.7 'F***ing Awesome' Resource Pack system, which is one of the reasons I'm using this system in MAtmos and Presence Footsteps.
You can load multiple resource packs at once, choose the order... Audiotori is just not needed anymore.
I knew that when 1.6 came along, audiotori would be obsolete., but nice to see matmos and presence footsteps getting a good use in this system =D

Can i make a recomendation? If your listening Huricane? I've always found it difficult to play minecraft with just boring flat sounds, have you ever thought of adding in sound reverbs, echo, and sound dampening to matmos? there is a mod based on that exactly. But it is now dead, and the dev has not been on for a year now. I have played with this mod during 1.4 and it's amazing, i would love to see it surface again. The dev of that mod said he stoped updating because he wanted to wait for modding api. May take another year because mojang keeps pushing that back.
I'm still having trouble setting up the MAtmos designer. It's unclear where you are supposed to put the files in linux. It used to be the root .minecraft directory, but that is not working; it just can't find its libs...
[EDIT] Nevermind, apparently the editor kills itself if it doesn't have default_reference.xml in the root editor directory. Guess I should have noticed that sooner.
Why doesn't the time(0 to 24000) check work anymore?
For the ones who are using 1.6.4 w/ mods, Matmos will not be updated to that version... However, there is a not-so-alternative solution for this. There's a Weather Mod which is part of Tropicraft (Don't worry, you can install the Weather Mod if you don't want to have Tropicraft). Blows of winds and falling leaves but it stops there...
So yeah...
I've been playing Modded Minecraft 1.4.2 for a while now... I updated to 1.6.4 but when I found out this would never make to 1.6.4, I was heartbroken.
In my opinion, it's going to skip 1.6.4.
We don't know the progress of this mod, but we can obviously see the mod creator is still alive and has the
presence footsteps mod updated (fancy footstep sounds).
Too bad 1.7.2 is the update that time forgot. I doubt the majority of mods will ever update to 1.7.2, opting instead to wait until 1.8. Depending on how soon 1.8 drops, I could even see MCP and Forge forgoing work on making 1.7.2 stable to begin work on 1.8.
Hope the 1.7.2 update of this mod will make the 1.8 update easier - Otherwise, the 1.7.2 update was practically a waste of time. Unless you like playing vanilla MC with JUST Matmos (And the handful of other mods that have released buggy 1.7.2 updates), ofc. In which case, more power too you.
What scares me the most is that we did not hear from the original poster for a while ... I am not sure if this mod can be considered dead or not. I wish not, since I think it is the most interesting one ... my world feel so empty now...

I'm on it. I'm not reading the forums much because there's no much point until a working test version is complete, I've already disclosed all the necessary information about the update in earlier posts.
I just updated to 1.6.4 from 1.5.2 - I was going to wait until 1.7 / 1.8, but needed to test some stuff.
I know that there will not be a 1.6 update for Matmos, but just wanted to say how dead the worlds are without it. Its like I've gone deaf! Really horrible experience! Makes you realise just how much this mod is worth!
This is why Mojang should have implemented Hurricane's work ages ago for this very reason. Singleplayer especially is so bleak and silent all the time in 1.6.4. I can't stand it. Hurricane brought more life into the game than any other modder has to date. They should have cut him a check.
I'm also a bit disappointed there won't be 1.6.4 support. The bigger mod packs just got 1.6.4 packs out and FTB's are still in beta. Going to be a long long long time before there are 1.7 or 1.8 packs. Six months to a year or more I'd wager. I've tried looking for an alternative but Hurricane kinda has a monopoly. I'm a bit drawn on whether to keep playing 1.5.2 for the next year or start anew without this mod in 1.6.4 and I gotta say... 1.5.2 is looking like the way to go. Matmos is just too necessary anymore.
I am not angry or upset with you Hurricaaane. My blame finger points firmly in the direction Stockholm.
Thank you for all you've done. Your mod is quite possibly one of the best.

Hey! Good hearing from you Hurricaane!
You just made my day! Sorry I did not read everything, that thread is getting quite big. Maybe you should start a new one when you will release for 1.7.4.
Again, good to hear from you. Your mod is the best!

Incompatible with 1.6.4.

Question to the OP now. Quick question here. Since 1.7.2 has new biomes, are you planning to add new sounds to cover those?
If yes, then it would be Christmass again!
So yeah...

Oh well, you can't have them all.

Your mod is amazing! and Minecraft 1.7.2/1.7.4 is sorely missing it. Good luck and keep up the development process .
