@MineCrak: I'm sorry to hear that about your mother.
I'm running quite a collection of mods myself on my laptop. I've got quite an old one, so it only runs on 32 bits. Here are the specs:
HP Elitebook 8730w
Windows xp Professional
Intel core 2 duo PC P8600 @2,4 GHZ (2 CPU's)
2026 MB RAM
ATI Mobility FireGL V5725
Without Optifine, it manages the following mods quite well (short/normal render distance runs fine, 30/40 FPS average, sometimes a bit laggy (during thunderstorms), and I haven't tried running hundreds of IC/RP/BC machines or pipes at the same time yet. My Mod-setup:
Thanks M4tt1994. It's encouraging to hear about your laptops performance under those conditions! As always, when it comes to laptops, I think the secret is to stay away from Intel video like you did.
Thank You for your list, info and your condolences.

@Sogemplow (and FrostByteGER): It appears there is something missing in the pb.class. Both Robinton's 4096 ID's and Forge overwrite it. Have you installed it in the correct order? (Forge first, then 4096 ID's) If you try it again, it might help...

I had done it this way and this seems to be the problem. As there is only noforge versions of the 1.2.5 version, I had to use that and as it turns out, pb.class is much more important to forge than it is to this mod. Putting forge's pb.class in second seems to have made it so I can start minecraft however it seems to have broken TMI and upon trying to give myself an item with TMI the game crashed and then went back to crashing when I tried to load my world. TMI seems to think that all item IDs have shifted to the 3xxx range. Probably a problem with TMI.
Anyhow, thats how to fix the problem.
Wait, nope, now the world is crashing when I attempt to obtain a legitimately gained block.
Follow up: Your Cart Mod appears to be working fine with all my mods. Tried the furnace, crafting bench and chest in a cart and worked fine.
Pulled the cart, put a sheep in the cart, harnessed sheep and had it pull cart, rode in the cart...all apparently working as intended.
Most fun however was capturing a Brainy Zombie from Thaumcraft and putting him in the cart and then harnessing him and having him pull the cart haha. I'm thinking of starting an enemy mob prison since your mod makes it so easy to capture and move mobs.
About the technical info you requested. I've only used this one PC to run Minecraft. It's an Intel i7 930 which has 4 cores with 6Gb of ram and with a Nvidia GTX 480 and running Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition. It appears to run MC just fine.
I did make a shortcut so it uses the 64-bit Java and upped the memory a bit. My shortcut has in the Target box:
...which starts up JRE 6.x which is the 64-bit Java and bumps up max memory to 1536Mb. I believe I got this info from a thread here at the forums somewhere. That thread also warned of not bumping up memory too much because that might cause other problems. If I recall there was a noticeable improvement afterward. I did try 2Gb and 2.5 Gb max but didn't notice any additional improvement.
I hope this helps and I wish you and your mother all the best.

Hey Noobs: When you have to post an error log please use the spoiler tag like this:

That's great to hear! And thank you for your well wishes.
I will keep track of that Java memory trick and shortcut since it works for you. I've tried similar ones but they didn't work for me, I suspect they only work for Java 64bit though, which may be why they didn't work for me.
Oh yeah; Remember to try out the Dispenser Cart too. It's especially fun to shoot Fireballs out of it! (Fire Brands). It's especially helpful to pan left and right with [A] and [D] when aiming it.
* btw: There is a sort of Easter Egg in v1.2.1 of Cart Mod that no one seems to have found yet. It involves doing something risky and difficult, but if you pull it off you can get the ride of your life!
@FrostByteGER: There's something wrong/missing in you aia.class. The only mod I know of (from my collection) that overwrites it is Forge. I've looked at the Forge github changelog, but I can't find anything that changes something in aia.class over the versions. What are the mods you've installed (or that you want to install), and in what exact order?
i installed this cause i used More Slopes Mod (which takes up a lot of useful IDS). As i entered my game, all the sprites for the More Slopes mod(and only more slopes, everything else was fine) were replaced by the icon for fire and i could not add them to my inventory..... A little help?
@FrostByteGER: Try the following order:
Modloader
Forge 3.1.2.97
Robinton's 4096 ID's
--------------------------do a run test----
GUI API
ID Resolver
--------------------do another run test----
TMI
Optifine
-----------------do another run test-----
And then install the other mods (preferrably one by one, but that's not really important (since you've got ID Resolver)
You could think about switching TMI for NEI, and then you could also switch wirelessredstone for ChickenBones' edition of Wirelessredstone. It has added redpower support, for better integration. All of these can be found here. NEI generally plays nicer with other mods than TMI.
@Rising_Dead: Try moving the block ID's for More Slopes back under 255, and moving another mod to 255+ (preferrably a large forge mod, like IC, BC, RP2, Thaumcraft, EE, The Twilight Forest, Millenaire, Forestry etc. etc.). If this doesn't fix it, make a backup of your .jar, then delete it (and all the config files in the /config folder after a backup), start with a fresh .jar and install everything in the correct order (Modloader->ModloaderMP (if wanted) -> Forge (if wanted) -> 4096 ID's -> Other mods (i.e. Optifine/ GUI API)).
Thanks Robinton for this mod. There's a problem right now that I'm having though, and it's this:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: pb.getBedDirection(Lali;III)I
at vl.t(RenderBlocks.java:427)
at vl.b(RenderBlocks.java:375)
at ct.a(WorldRenderer.java:211)
at l.a(RenderGlobal.java:1461)
at lr.a(EntityRenderer.java:1070)
at lr.b(EntityRenderer.java:903)
at EntityRendererProxy.b(EntityRendererProxy.java:21)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.x(Minecraft.java:869)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:747)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:680)
Now, the problem here is that the version of Forge that is in here is old and doesn't have this method, along with a few others as well. I don't have the source for 4096 so I can't exactly update it... BUT, I do have the newer version of the pb class and the old one, and I also have JBE.
So, I'm adding these methods in the byte code for the pb class:
I'm sure there will be other issues as well, but for now, I hope this will be enough until Robinton updates his mod.
This is why you mod people should make your projects open source! But, I'm doing this for you guys that might have this issue.
Here's the class, everything seems to work just fine! pb.class
Please, make a back up just in case of the class, and if you think this is a "virus", you can go ahead and decompile it and see that there's only those methods added and nothing else.
@FrostByteGER: I snooped around a bit in the TMI-thread, and I found out it's incompatible with Robinton's 4096 IDs. If you want TMI-functionality and 4096 ID's, you should switch to NEI.
@LeonBlade: Thank you very much. Are the changes you've made the same as the changes between the Forge .97 and .107 pb.class?
Been searching the thread trying to find some info on cubic chunks update or not, how its proceeding. Any news? or trouble? or temporarily suspendedness?

It was .105, but I doubt much has changed since then, it was recommended build I believe .105 is.
I hardly ever play minecraft anymore. I rarely check the forums, and I was here back when ymod was still up to date. Sadly, it looks like Robinton hasn't posted in a while. This was the only thread in the entire forum I checked concistently. Its usually the reason I even get on here anymore. I'm just posting this to say:
Robinton, if you still read this thread, keep up the good work. Your hieght mod is the only reason I even care about Minecraft anymore. I've watched this thread since it only had 5 pages. I hope that you will keep this mod going. It would be sad to see it die like ymod did.

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.
@FrostByteGER: I think I'm running out of options with my not-really-existing knowledge of mods/modding/coding. The error report mentions Itemrender, which leads me to believe that there is something wrong it an item rather than a block (or that there's an error in Robinton's mod). Could you check the item/block ID's of buildcraft? Or could you perhaps try it with another mod (a 'simpler' one, like IC2, which has only 1 mod instead of 6), and see if it gives the same problem?
