I have a problem, dont know why, thought I did it right:When ever i click login with my .jar using optifine,I just get a screen with"Updating Minecraft" and "Done loading" with a green bar that is almost full.By the way,i use a mac.
Sorry for the late answer, but here is some info:
Version: Optifine_1.2.5_HD_MT_C2
Other mods installed: Radarbro, SPC, Inventory tweak
It doesn't always happen, i don't know what i have to do for it to happen, it seem to happen randomly, and when i tab out and in again, its fixed. The options, that i think could have an impact on this:
Chunk updates: 1
Dynamic Updates: OFF
Preloaded Chunks: 2
Fog start: 0.2
Render Distance: Normal +64
I dont know, if any of these actually matter

Had to go back and find out what the issue was. Well, that's a start for the info. System specs would help. If you have an NVIDIA Graphics card, make sure that the "Threaded Optimization" setting in your graphics control panel is disabled (set to OFF). Make sure your video driver is up-to-date while you're at it along with Java and your LWJGL. Also, make sure nothing is conflicting with the "A" key in your control option settings in Minecraft itself. In fact, try turning that "Dynamic Updates" setting ON in the OptiFine settings in Minecraft and setting Preloaded Chunks to 1 instead.
They actually update an experimental version of MCP to 12w17a, and are planning to update it sometime soon, according to Searge's twitter. Just sayin'.
You guys think it's some quick thing to update for each new snapshot version? Especially, with a mod as in-depth as OptiFine? And, without possibly introducing more bugs? And, when there is a new snapshot every week?
To everyone trying to install Optifine with Forge 130+, optifine hasn't updated with all the hooks as of yet, so crashing and weird behavior WILL happen until all the hooks are updated.
I have a glitch..... I'm using the smooth version, and the torso and head of certain mobs. Also, the player model is missing an arm... What could be wrong...
Is there a reason why the void fog/Depth fog option only works when in creative mode? It does not effect the depth fog when I'm in survival mode at all.
I am an amateur gaming artist working with 2-3 other texture pack creators to create 32x support for a mod ... can anyone tell me how to create an animated texture for an NPC from this mod?
Skin files in this mod are stored in a folder within its mod folder, titled "bdimg", with each skin titled, "bdi... png" - if I want to animate a mob with a skin titled "bdHorseRainbow.png", what should I do?

Oh, make no mistake, I was waiting with everyone else for some of the longer updates. I have no such thoughts that OptiFine is easy to update. Especially with this new update, with the Multiplayer and Singleplayer games becoming one now. I was just pointing out that MCP HAS been updated to a snapshot in the past.
I actually rather doubt that SP614X would update Minecraft to a snapshot, even if there was a working MCP version for it. It's just not worth the effort. (too small of a userbase for the work required, especially since it would only work for a week (heck, it would probably take a week JUST to update))
I used this mod with zombes and toomanyitems and sometimes when I click F11 it crashes Minecraft. Sometimes I can't join servers it just returns me to the main menu and it says communication error when I click refresh. What the problem?
to my last post: does anybody know, which texturepack i can use with optifine?
(a texturepack that doesnt need this mcpatcher-thing, which doesnt work with optifine)?
All texture packs work with OptiFine including Misa's despite what she'd like you to think.
I believe OptiFine has pretty much added ALL of the texture pack functionality that Misa's had added and worked specifically with MCPatcher to allow her to implement. Although, there may be a couple super minor features missing and you probably wouldn't even notice. Plus, Misa's is sort of an exception to texture packs in general since most other texture packs don't include most of the features that Misa's does. However, if you want to use Misa's, just try to use Misa's and see there is any of the special functionality of that texture pack missing while using it with OptiFine. In other words, see for yourself. Worst case scenario, lighting (which should be fixed now) or something might not quite be perfect in spots. But, the texture pack will work. Again, install OptiFine and select the new texture pack you want to try and use. Be sure to start with a clean (unmodified) minecraft.jar file and to also start with the default texture pack enabled. Once OptiFine is installed, you can load up Minecraft and select the texture pack that you want to use. You can even select it while in a world.
well thanks for the help.
I guess I'll be using smooth for a long time

ROFL!
Disable (set to OFF) the "Threaded Optimization" setting in your NVIDIA graphics control panel.

You need the latest OptiFine C2 when using the latest Forge.
Yes, paypal accounts have an email.
Can you please tell me what's wrong with the clouds in the screenshot i posted in the last page? Thanks.
Then its [email protected]
Will it work? or is there a way I have to install them?
Possibly...I think there is a bug with the water shaders mod and Optifine together. Too many items will work regardless.
