Help, i downloaded the multicore version and it works perfectly, except for the fact that i get random chunks flickering invisible, and blocks disapearing for a couple of frames...
If you have problems with flashing or transparent blocks you can try: A. Disable "Threaded Optimization" in the graphics card control panel (example)
B. Enable "Vertical Synchronization" in the graphics control panel or set the option Performance to VSync.
I can't find "Threaded Optimization" in the graphics card control panel, but i've tried the B option and it didn't work :/ is anyone able to help me with this?
When connected textures are on glass and sand stone are turning to the default texture.Im using the standard version ..
Connected textures off :
...
connected textures on:
...
The ConnectedTextures need texturepack support.
Some texturepacks does not include the connected textures (ctm.png), so OptiFine uses the default ones.
Can you please update your spoilered part "Compatibility with other mods" in first post?
Especially the part with class files, using OptiFine with MCPatcher.
I installed OptiFine HD B Multi-Corefor Minecraft on my MacBook Pro, and the glass is messed up. I did read the post, and it said to change certain settings in the control panel, but I don't have a control panel for my graphics card. Anyone know what to do?
I'm new to this forum, and didn't see that new posts are at the end. If this is a repost, I'm sorry. haha
If you are speak of entire chunks disappearing to let you see through world (Which is what those graphics settings fix) then unfortunately there has been no solution to that problem found on a Mac other than not using Multicore edition. Otherwise we need a better description than "glass blocks messed up".

The threaded optimization setting is Nvidia+NotMac only. As I said above if you are on Mac then the only known solution is to drop to 'Smooth' edition.
If you aren't on a Mac and are using Nvidia then triple check the Nvidia control panel, it is under 'Manage 3D settings'.
And finally if you aren't on a Mac and are using an ATI graphics card then please let us know that as it may be a new unknown problem.
For some reason i could use this in 1.1 with s.p.c. and too many items without problems but now i can't use this or modloader in my minecraft. I still have over 800 MB of memory in minecraft and it's really confusing me, can someone help.
Using the multi-core version and loving it so far. Only issue i'm noticing, which is really annoying, is really frequent world flashes and flickers when i'm moving around.
I assume I'm not the first to report the incompatibilities of OptiFine and ModLoader.
It's a real bloody shame, since I want to run Minecraft faster, but I also want all of those cool mods that need ModLoader.
I guess I'll just not use OptiFine 'til it's fixed.
In case anyone is wondering, it's vh.class that is the source of the problem.
this update is great and working wonderfully for me EXCEPT that i get weird spikes in the frame rate where it freezes for a couple seconds every now and again. i've been running on far distance and getting 50 fps on average, so it seems to be doing fine otherwise leaving me confused in response to the spike thing. anyone else having a similar problem?
for reference, i'm using windows 7 and have updated java and also turned threading off in nvidia.

I'll attached a picture of the glass.
UPDATE: I found out what is causing the problem. In video settings under the "Quality..." tab, if I have "Connected Textures" set to anything other than off, It makes glass look like the picture below. I switched from Smooth to Multi-core, and they both do this on my Mac.
The dots in the middle are mini-map markers (just to clarify), and the white blocks with smaller black sections are suppose to be glass.
When i used the multicore version i got an error code
