Works, albeit double-place and intermittent stutter, on

HP Mini 311 @ 1920x1080

Windows 7 SP1, JDK 1.7
Atom N270 @ 1.6Ghz HT
2 GB DDR3 RAM
NVIDIA ION 256MB VRAM

Rendering distance: Maximum vanilla (default Minecraft) draw distance.
Everything else on lowest settings - except - transparent water & starry sky

For me, Minecraft seems to always reset back to Far render distance when I leave the world or exit the game with this installed. It may be because of my other mods, but that wouldn't make any sense. Help?

EDIT:
Actually, sometimes it switches on me IN-GAME!

Really good mod, wouldn't be able to record Minecraft videos without it. (Vanilla, I usually average only 20-25fps on Normal since I'm playing on a laptop, and I need at least 40fps for CamStudio to capture the game correctly.)

I have noticed a bug with the "Better Grass" option (in both the 1.8.1 and 1.0.0 versions, using OptiFine MT), though: grass spreads underwater with it enabled. And it's not a mod confliderp with Millenaire or anything else (no classfile conflicts, and it happens even with just OptiFine installed).

HD textures not working with optifine for me

I'm using Sortex's texture pack and OptiFine 1.0.0_HD_MT_A but I can still see flames in the corners of the dirt block sides

any help is appreciated

Is there anyway to get Optifine without the HD Support? As in, have it and the MCPatcher installed? The texture packs I use don't work with Optifine, I get the "Use the Patcher noob" message on fire and stone blocks have this weird transparent corner.

"Multi" means more than one, and two is most certainly more than one. It'll work fine.

Unless your other program is using 100% of one of your cores, you'll still benefit from using the MT version. Firefox, AVG, etc don't stress the processor nearly that much. Even if it does, the MT version can still work with a single core, you just won't see that performance gain.

All right. Thanks for helping me out, because I struggle with frames on my computer from 2000-fricking-9. The worst part is that it's Vista and has a dual-core Pentium processor. I'd be better off with an i3.
