This sure will be a must have mod....maybe merge the 2 mods together, as in become one mod to avoid conflict? That would be nice...if you and scaevolus dont mind that is..
That's more likely due to incompatibilities between mods than your mac. Remember, Minecraft doesn't yet have official modding support and all the mods are fanmade, incompatibilities should be expected :tongue.gif:
Well, I have Single Player Commands, Toomanyitems, Modloader&Audiomod, Optifine... Thats all I have! :biggrin.gif:
I seem to be having a small HD texture pack issue.
I can load texture packs up to 128X, but when I try to load a 256x I get 4-5 fps in-game, but when I press ESC it gets back up to 50-60 fps, and f3 debug (without graph) Isn't helping.
FUNNY enough, I can run the PureBDcraft 512x pack BEAUTIFULLY.
I tried with all 3 versions of Optifine, AND an un-modded "mcpatched" JAR, and it has the same issue.
Packs I've tried: PureBDCraft 256x=4fps, LB photo realism 256x=4fps,LB RPG 256x=4fps,PureBDCraft 256x=4fps and PureBDCraft 512x=60fps.
Specs: MineCraft 1.8.1 , Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit with the latest Java 7 64bit build.
Intel i5 2500K CPU w/processor graphics oc'ed to 1600mhz, from 1100mhz stock.
8gb cas9 1333mhz memory.
In the latest Intel drivers, the release notes have stated OpenGL Improvement FOR Minecraft *wow*. I like the fact that the Intel driver coders actually listen to the community, because Minecraft used to run like crap with the drivers that were out earlier this year.
All in all, Awesome mod sp614x, I checked DAILY on this page to see when the 1.8.1 version would be out, I love it that much. I'm Impressed that I can even run a 512x pack on sensible settings (normal distance view, Smooth light on , fast graphics.) Any Suggestions, did I miss something, or could this be fixed with optifine.
As I've stated ,it's not a big issue, because I'm a purist, I love the original texture pack (These days, I also like the 128X 3D MODEL DEFAULT TEXTURE Pack BY DONKEY2012), it adds more definition, but looks like the default, and runs great because it isn't a 256x.
TL;DR : All HD packs work except 256x, it has single digit fps. 512x runs @ full speed with or without Optifine.
Any Suggestions, is this caused by the 256x texture packs, or is this a Minecraft or Intel driver issue?
That's not even possible. They both optimize the same things in different, mutually exclusive ways.
Doing both at once would be akin to sorting a list in alphabetical and reverse alphabetical order at the same time; either is possible on its own, and either way makes it easier to find things in the list than if they're unsorted, but they are inherently different and incompatible with each other.
While using optifine I get texture flickering many times i do something like: opening/closing a door, pressing a button, pressing a pressure pad.
Also the flickerings are not texture pack dependent, they happen on every pack.
I tried tweaking with the settings with no use. I have no other mods installed, just vanilla minecraft + latest optifine.
Is this a known issue?
What am I doing wrong?
Note: the flickerings do not happen if I use mcpatcher for hd support instead of optifine.
This problem seems to happen with the latest MT version. I recommend Optifine Classic or Smooth, until this is fixed.
I replaced MT with smooth and the flickering seems to be gone, but I encountered another type of flickering.
If I have glass blocks underwater the water+glass flickers sometimes (when I move around and look at it).
Also, when swimming (not underwater), if I look at the horizon line, it flickers when I move.
They're not white with the mcpatcher I used before this. And why wouldn't a spider be up to date? They haven't changed, have they?
Have you uninstalled the MCPatcher's HD Textures before installing OptiFine? Both can not work together.
If still having problems try with a clean minecraft.jar.
Just tested with an old PhotoRealism 64x texture pack and spiders and endermen are OK.
If someone could help me, that would be great. I am using a Mac Mini on Mac OS 10.5.8 and minecraft is super rediculously laggy. I have no mods. Whenever I try to add this mod, i black screen or get stuck on loading. I have tried: delete META-INF completely, only deleting the MOJANG_C files (as some mods require), leaving the minecraft.jar as a folder and as a .jar file and nothing works. Like i said, this is the only mod i have tried. Any help is appreciated
I think we have a glitch here... I crashed. Not a normal crash, upon opening MC, but on opening a world. I see my items in the bar at the bottom for a half second, with everything else on the screen being black. Then it crashes. probably a problem with rendering chunks. Here's the error report:

If that seems weird, since I was running MC by command line, the command window said: "class not found: LightCache" which is probably the problem. Mods I was using: modloader, singleplayercommands, optifine HDA with optifine HDSA installed on top of it (which is what it suggests by "extends classic" in the OP, change that if it doesn't need to be double installed), CJB mods, and toomanyitems, and a tiny one file mod that lets you change the fog distance with the f key again. Not in that order

make a _s_mt version (it has both in it)
I'm on like macbook, and I'm having invisible stuff even with mcpatcher or this, they still don't fix invisible stuff.. like Mod stuff/items.!

Make sure you installed the mods in this order:
Modloader
Optifine
AudioMod
Single Player Commands
Too Many Items
If that doesn't work, then make sure you have Java 6.27
Intel Pentium
4cpu
2.40ghz
1.99 gb of ram
help i get black screen or run out of memory
2+ for that! HD textures with Buildcraft would be awesome.

you mean graphic artifactf?
problem is when ever i place torch i crash T_T

wait a little more... forge is planned already.
