When I add Millenaire to my server it works properly, however for many of the icons I have throughout the game for various items, they appear as animated blue pixels erratically moving. When I change the texture pack to default, and then back to my previous texture pack that was previously messed up, it then appears normal. I have tried this with the Sphax texture pack 64x and 128x. In the default texture pack the icons appear normal, however when I remove Millenaire all both Sphax are normal again. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
That seems odd. Are there farmers in your new buildings? The default potato goals are setup so that only the resident farmer will work on them (like Norman wheat farms) and not so that people from other houses will come and work in a shared field (like Indian or Japanese rice paddies). If you want the second it shouldn't be hard to create new goals for this, look at the the rice ones for examples.
I'll add your potatosoil line in the next update so it's part of the base mod.
And sorry, no support for pumpkins or melons. I added potatos despite not needing it because it was exactly the same logic as wheat or carrots. The other two would need new code.
The plantpotatohome and harvestpotatohome goals are working properly. The problem is that when the villagers build the building with the potatosoil block they don't actually place the block.
I'll wait for you to add whatever you need to add for it.
Why do melons and pumpkins need new code? Wouldn't you just need another soil block and the requisite plant/harvest goals? It should be up to the building creator to make sure the extra grass block is there to grow on. Or am I just being silly and Forge has no PlantCrop interface or similar?
Also, what would you suggest for getting villagers to plant and harvest flowers? Is there support built in for this currently?
Oh, I just thought of another thing. I'd like to have villagers harvest squid. I can easily write a 'slaughtersquid' goal, but there is no 'squidspawn' block. There is also the issue that they can't be bred so the check on making sure there are still enough creatures to breed would probably need to come out.
I just keep thinking of things. Question on village paths. Do buildings require having a 'mainchest' for a path to connect to it? Also, can there be multiple 'pathStartPos' blocks in the same building plan? It seems that when I try that the path just comes out of one of those blocks and ignores any others.
error...to make sure i installed right i put the zip in the mods folder and millenaire and millenaire custom in the folder with bin. version 1.5.2 and newest build from the site.

Aww new code is needed for pumpkins and melons? Too bad.
Lava pit underground is not an issue.
The village is just naturally large it seems, edit the config file to allow more room for villages, see the FAQ for how.
I tried editing the config file, but it messed up the game and I had to reinstall the mod. I did this yesterday before I posted here. The donfig file is somewhat different now, I looked through the whole thing and made sure I changed the right thing, but it just messed it up, something about certain IDs not found or something.
This is what I changed in the file. It was already 65 so I changed it to 70 and then I got the problem. It just messed the mod up. I thought that the detault radius was supposed to be 56, but 65 was my default radius.
EDIT: Also, I have another village on another world, If I can't sell bricks to the Byzantines they'll eventually make them themselves right?
Okay, I think that Mines (in any culture) should produce ores, at their normal rarity, but without digging. So normally you would get stone, cobble, sand, glass, and most of the time coal, but sometimes (commonly) iron, uncommonly gold, every few MC half-weeks redstone, and very VERY rarely diamond. Also, if it's in an Extreme Hills biome, add emerald at the same rarity of diamond.

Oh, forgot Lapiz. Lapiz should be in between redstone and diamond in the rarity table.

So the problem I encountered was a compatibility error of Millenaire with Optifine. Without Optifine works fine, with it and I get the blue pixel animated graphics. Anyone else having this issue?

I'll wait for you to add whatever you need to add for it.
OHHHHHH, maybe this is because you use your own color for potatosoil and not the official one that was forgotten to be added to the text file?
Why do melons and pumpkins need new code? Wouldn't you just need another soil block and the requisite plant/harvest goals? It should be up to the building creator to make sure the extra grass block is there to grow on. Or am I just being silly and Forge has no PlantCrop interface or similar?
Because harvesting is different for them.
Also, what would you suggest for getting villagers to plant and harvest flowers? Is there support built in for this currently?
I still say just having the player supply the flower for them to place is the best option.

Ugh notepad... here is what you are going to want to do, cut out that entire text file, paste it here in some blank reply, then cut it all out and paste it back in the text file. It should be easier to read now.
Okay, I think that Mines (in any culture) should produce ores, at their normal rarity, but without digging. Oh, forgot Lapiz. Lapiz should be in between redstone and diamond in the rarity table.
This has been discussed, but if they could supply their iron and gold needs themselves some wouldn't need the player at all for anything and the dev doesn't want that.
Also giving some cultures coal, others charcoal, and the rest to continue burning those planks have been discussed.
They have no use for redstone, emeralds, diamond, and lapiz, so even if they found them they would have no reason to mine them.
So the problem I encountered was a compatibility error of Millenaire with Optifine. Without Optifine works fine, with it and I get the blue pixel animated graphics. Anyone else having this issue?
Yes, was just about to post saying this, it is known that Optifine causes these bugs, could you tell Optifine to fix it?
Millenaire's dev cannot fix a bug that Optifine has.
I still say just having the player supply the flower for them to place is the best option.
Yes. Yes it is. I completely forgot. That would indeed require new code.
Just giving the villagers flowers is certainly an option, but I'd like to see them more independent and not have to rely on the player. I can understand it for the exotic and hard to get materials, and you want the player to have to get some things for them because they aren't about to risk their necks to get it, that's the player's job, but flowers are neither exotic or hard to get. I feel it would really just make uninteresting busy work for the player to have to supply villagers with flowers. And in writing this I have thought of an argument to not have the villagers plant/harvest flowers. Flowers, unlike other plants, have no grow time. The villagers would just spend all day planting and harvesting flowers and never get anything else done.

I mean that many villages have a building they want to build before a certain item it requires is available, and that this is on purpose.
Confused!
Well, it this "works as designed" then my guess is that I would have to:
- find another Mayan village with a Carver
- sell them a lot of gold bars
- buy all their gold ornaments
- return to my first Mayan village
- sell them the gold ornaments
- and finally get the Market upgraded

Same problem I have, see "bugg reports" on the wiki.
And if this is really a Optifine problem, then why does everything work if I only remove Millenaire?

Would love it if you could make the mod output a console message whenever a villager is killed along with the location where he was killed and the killer's name. Would help tremendously on SMP servers. Thanks in advance! Btw I looooove your mod.

Hm, might take a loooooong time
It's not that bad, your original village will build the crafter whenever they have the resources for it despite having the market as their goal. But it could be a little while.

But magically spawning flowers with bonemeal does not sound like something the dev would be ok with implementing...
Yeah; I kinda debated myself out of it with my last couple of sentences in my previous post. I think instead I will make a crafting goal that takes in seeds, bonemeal, and something else and outputs a flower, thus allowing me to make it actually take time to "grow". Of course that still means that the villager will get minimum one flower a day which is still a shorter growing time than any of the other plants.

Oh, forgot Lapiz. Lapiz should be in between redstone and diamond in the rarity table.
Millenaire works with Minecraft 1.5.2 currently, so therefore it works with the latest version of Forge for Minecraft 1.5.2.
OHHHHHH, maybe this is because you use your own color for potatosoil and not the official one that was forgotten to be added to the text file?
Because harvesting is different for them.
I still say just having the player supply the flower for them to place is the best option.
This is being discussed at the moment.
http://millenaire.org/wiki/User:Felinoel/Sandbox
Ugh notepad... here is what you are going to want to do, cut out that entire text file, paste it here in some blank reply, then cut it all out and paste it back in the text file. It should be easier to read now.
Yes, was just about to post saying this, it is known that Optifine causes these bugs, could you tell Optifine to fix it?
Millenaire's dev cannot fix a bug that Optifine has.
player.me/felinoel
Yes.
Strange, because I have fully updated versions of everything. So I don't see where the problem could be coming from.
But magically spawning flowers with bonemeal does not sound like something the dev would be ok with implementing...
Hmmm, did I tell you to try this yet?

Ohh, no put all three in the mods folder.
player.me/felinoel
Confused!
Well, it this "works as designed" then my guess is that I would have to:
- find another Mayan village with a Carver
- sell them a lot of gold bars
- buy all their gold ornaments
- return to my first Mayan village
- sell them the gold ornaments
- and finally get the Market upgraded
Hm, might take a loooooong time
Same problem I have, see "bugg reports" on the wiki.
And if this is really a Optifine problem, then why does everything work if I only remove Millenaire?
crashed again all 3 in the mods folder.
// Oh - I know what I did wrong!

Optifine gets put into your minecraft.jar file.
Hope it helps
It's not that bad, your original village will build the crafter whenever they have the resources for it despite having the market as their goal. But it could be a little while.
You are welcome to PM-me, but I'm unable to reply to everyone. Vous pouvez m'envoyer un MP, mais je ne peux pas répondre à tous. आप मुझसे संपर्क कर सकते हैं, लेकिन मैं हर मेल का जवाब नहीं दे सकता.
Yeah; I kinda debated myself out of it with my last couple of sentences in my previous post. I think instead I will make a crafting goal that takes in seeds, bonemeal, and something else and outputs a flower, thus allowing me to make it actually take time to "grow". Of course that still means that the villager will get minimum one flower a day which is still a shorter growing time than any of the other plants.
its just in there for a backup i already installed it
